17:54So last week on Friday Night Smackdown, LA Knight told Carmelo Hayes, you want a championship opportunity? Okay, go out and earn it against the returning, phenomenal one, AJ Styles. Let's take you to the matchup in Nashville.
18:08Unfortunate set of circumstances for AJ Styles. We're on that very maneuver. AJ suffered an injury to his foot. Styles did his best to continue competing. But here again, AJ's foot simply giving out, unable to finish the matchup. The official would have to call for the belt.
18:24It would be called a mid-foot ligament sprain, AJ Styles. As Styles would hobble out of the arena, LA Knight would send a message to Carmelo Hayes with a massive BFT.
18:38So tonight, Hayes Night for the prestigious United States Championship.
18:45Had a chance to catch up with Carmelo Hayes earlier this afternoon at the barbershop. And Hayes said his first order of business when he dethrones Knight tonight is to bring back the spinner title. The United States spinner title made famous by John Cena.
19:02That'll be unique, as LA Knight starts things off now against Carmelo Hayes. This is Hayes' first title opportunity since being drafted to SmackDown from NXT earlier this year. Can Hayes capitalize?
