The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

Once upon a time, in a deep dark wood, there lived a clever little mouse. He was known far and wide for his quick wit and sharp intellect. One day, as he strolled through the forest, he came across a fearsome creature known as the Gruffalo. The Gruffalo was a monstrous beast with terrible tusks and terrible claws, and the mouse knew he had to think fast to outsmart him.

Thinking on his feet, the mouse told the Gruffalo that he was the scariest creature in the forest, and that he was friends with an even scarier creature - the Gruffalo's worst nightmare. The Gruffalo, intrigued and a little frightened, asked the mouse to lead him to this terrifying beast. The mouse led the Gruffalo on a wild goose chase through the forest, using his quick thinking and clever tricks to outsmart the beast at every turn.

In the end, the mouse led the Gruffalo to a clearing where he revealed that the fearsome creature he had been talking about was none other than himself. The Gruffalo, realizing he had been tricked, fled in terror, leaving the clever mouse to enjoy the rest of his day in peace. And so, the mouse proved that even the smallest and seemingly weakest creatures can outsmart the biggest and strongest foes with a little bit of wit and cunning.
