Iga Swiatek ne pouvait rater l'occasion de rendre hommage à Rafael Nadal. Fan du Taureau de Manacor, la Polonaise a elle aussi réagi à l'annonce de Rafa jeudi. L'Espagnol a décidé de prendre sa retraite après le Final 8 de Coupe Davis à Malaga. Via ses réseaux sociaux, la numéro 1 mondiale a salué "celui qui est toujours resté honnête avec lui-même et fidèle à lui-même". Grande supportrice de Nadal, Swiatek avait exprimé à plusieurs reprises son admiration envers le champion espagnol et aussi avoué avoir été intimidée lors des premières rencontres.
