00:00How to save money this Christmas is getting to that time of year when people are starting to

00:03talk about what your plans are. I know that I've seen lots of creators share what they've bought

00:08so far for Christmas and things that they're planning on buying for Christmas. You're going

00:12to be bombarded from this point onwards for the rest of the year with all the things that you

00:17should spend your money on, your hard-earned cash and all just for one day. So here's my top tips

00:24on how to save money this Christmas. Number one, you've still got time to get in contact with

00:29friends and family and talk to them about what the expectations are for this year. If you have

00:33a large family, particularly if there's a number of adults in your family, contact them now and

00:37say that you don't want to do gifts this Christmas because you want to save your money for something

00:40else or you don't have it in your budget right now. I guarantee you somebody will be happy that

00:46you are making that call and having that conversation because you're not the only one

00:49who'll be thinking how am I going to get through this Christmas buying all these presents,

00:52particularly because we tend to buy things for other adults that they don't really want or need.

00:57Tip number two, start budgeting now. Have a look at what income you have coming in between now

01:03and just before Christmas and work out what you can afford to spend on Christmas. Make yourself a

01:09budget and stick to it. It is not worth getting into debt for one day and you won't thank yourself

01:14for it in January. If you've already started to save for Christmas, well done. Tip number three,

01:19have a look on eBay, Vinted and other websites where you can get cheaper goods, whether they're

01:24secondhand, hardly used, new but someone's changed their mind. If you start doing that now you've got

01:29lots of time for those things to be delivered in time for Christmas and it won't be a big rush at
