00:00The House Quad Committee cited the husband of Attorney Harry Roque, Myla Roque,

00:06for repeatedly not attending the hearings of the Joint Panel.

00:11Meanwhile, the Quad Com leaders are arguing in favor of the bill,

00:15which is widely considered as a miscrime of extrajudicial killings.

00:19Mela Alesmora is live in the center of the news.

00:23At this point, the hearing of the House Quad Committee is ongoing.

00:30We expect that there will be a lot of developments that will happen here.

00:38At the beginning of the 8th hearing of the House Quad Committee,

00:43the Joint Panel approved the motion of the Quad Com co-chair Stephen Paduano

00:48to cite and contempt the house of former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Myla Roque.

00:54This is because of the repeated violation of the Joint Panel's hearings,

00:59even though the committee is calling for the issue of illegal pogos.

01:03Because of this, they are both husbands who were cited and contempted,

01:07and they were both arrested by the Joint Panel.

01:10The husband of Roque was the first to protest against the Quad Com's proceedings

01:15and they also denied that they had anything to do with the pogos.

01:18This Friday, the main agenda of the Quad Com hearing is the issue of extrajudicial killings.

01:24Among the witnesses are the relatives of the so-called EJK victims.

01:30A mass was held here in the House earlier for the so-called EJK victims.

01:35One of the new faces of the Quad Com is the self-confessed drug lord,

01:40Curwin Espinosa, who was also called by the justice system for the EJK victims.

01:45He is also a victim of the extrajudicial killings,

01:49so he is one of the witnesses in the search for truth and justice regarding this.

01:54Meanwhile, I would like to add that a while ago, before the hearing,

01:58the House Quad Committee formally passed House Bill 10986,

02:03which pushes for the extrajudicial killings to be considered a heinous crime.

02:08At House Bill No. 10987, it is proposed to completely ban offshore gaming operations in the country.

02:16On these points, let's go back to some of the statements made earlier.

02:22I just want justice, because there are so many of us, so many young people.

02:27From me, ma'am, for me, because if we don't lose our fathers in our homes,

02:33first of all, we will not forgive our children.

02:36Justice will not sleep.

02:39We will do everything we can to uphold our duties as judges.

02:46In everything we do, we do not want to destroy and destroy, but to abuse power.

02:55Abuse of power, deception and exploitation of foreigners,

03:04threatening and killing of the innocent.
