00:00This is, uh, this is, uh, this is, uh, the winds have really picked up.
00:04Anderson Cooper risked his life to bring us coverage of Hurricane Milton.
00:08He was in Siesta Key, Florida, on a pier by the raging, surging Manatee River.
00:14Water's washing over, wind is whipping, and as he's reporting, a chunk of debris smacks
00:18him right in the face.
00:19It's starting to pour over.
00:21If you look at the ground—whoa!
00:22Okay.
00:23That wasn't good.
00:24But he finished his report.
00:26But he finished his report.
00:27You know, these reporters risking their lives to cover these storms.
00:30It takes a certain kind of person to do that.
00:32I don't, I don't, I don't get it.
00:34What do you mean?
00:35This was your whole bit back in the day.
00:37There is a serious problem here, folks.
00:39It doesn't seem particularly safe for the residents.
00:41But when I did it, when I was a local reporter, um, I got criticized.
00:46You were so over the top, the Los Angeles Times wrote an article called The Raging Torrent
00:50of Harvey Levin.
00:51And here's my favorite part of this article.
00:54What?
00:55It swirled.
00:56It foamed.
00:57It raged.
00:58It cascaded.
00:59It surged.
01:00It gushed.
01:01It overflowed.
01:02It overwhelmed.
01:03It was a wild, unstoppable torrent.
01:04And that was only Harvey Levin's mouth.
01:07If you look at the ground—whoa!
