00:17He's been so lovely about you. Do you think the test should exist in real life?
00:21No, I don't. But I'm the worst person to ask. I sort of hate dating apps and I hate all of that.
00:28And I'm an absolute dinosaur. And no, I definitely don't think that should take place, if possible.
00:36But maybe it will one day.
00:37Well, Brett thinks that we should all have 50 matches each in our lifetime.
00:41That seems like a lot to me.
00:42That's quite steep. That's quite steep. I don't know if I can handle that.
00:44I've got a threshold for maybe like one and a half and then I think I'm out of here.
00:48Do you think that this tale is going to open people's eyes to how they behave, perhaps, with relationships and friends?
00:54What do you think people are going to learn from it?
00:56I think, I mean, I look at the movie, I look at the film in the sense of I think it's been quite difficult for people to see a female character sort of commit infidelity and have an affair.
01:11I'm sort of, I'm sort of hoping that people, I mean, it's a great film.
01:15There's lots of laughter and romance and all these things.
01:18I sort of hope that it offers something for that as well, because there aren't very many stories where a woman makes choices that are sort of selfish in that way.
01:28Because women fall in love too, you know.
01:31So I think it's sort of, I think it has a lot to offer there.
01:34But also just in terms of reflecting on what they might do in that situation.
01:39And also, what is that?
01:42What is it when you're magnetised towards somebody and how do you explain that?
01:46Because sometimes it's ineffable, isn't it?
01:48And it's sort of just, it can happen a couple of times in a lifetime or never.
01:52But when it does happen, I think that's a very, it's a very special thing.
01:56It is. And what about what happens next with you?
01:58Do you want to do some more roles where you're perhaps the bad girl?

02:12Sure.
02:14Yeah, I guess so. I haven't really played nice girls either yet.

02:19We need to get Brett to try and get you in Ted Lasso, the movie, which I've pitched to him.

02:24If you were in the movie, would you be a wag? Would you like to be in the film?
02:27I would be following the great Juno Temple around holding her dresses.

02:37So we're nearly at the end of the year. What happens next for you?
02:39What have you got going on?
02:40I've just wrapped Kristen Stewart's directorial debut called The Chronology of Water.
02:45I've been a lifelong fan of Kristen as an artist and a woman and a person.
02:51And she was one of the greatest directors I've ever worked with in my life.
02:54And I'm so proud of her and excited for her.
02:57So we wrapped that about a month ago.
02:59And it was, yeah, one of the highlights of my career really.
03:02And working on that with somebody who's that passionate and that engaged and curious and brave was...
03:10I'd be hard pressed to find another experience like that, I think.
03:14What's the difference between having a female director to a male?
03:17Is it quite a big difference or is it not much?
03:19No, not much difference.
03:22I'd say having a director who's been an actor certainly makes a difference
03:27because she's so emotionally intelligent, obviously.
03:31And she knows exactly...
03:33She's just an expert in that realm.
03:37So that's pretty helpful.
03:39But in terms of what she brought as a director,
03:42the passion, the integrity, the frosty, the relentless,
03:48all of that artistry is sort of, I think, genderless.
03:52But her power is purely who she is as a person, regardless of whether she's, you know...
03:59So you're best friends now, are you?
04:01We're best friends!
04:03I love it. I hope you get together again. That would be lovely.
04:06Perhaps on screen as well?
04:07Yeah, that would be my dream. I would love that so much.
