00:00Previously, we kicked off with a double room reveal.
00:04Oh!
00:05It's Oppa's and Rumpa's week.
00:07Two rooms and a hallway.
00:09It's really three spaces.
00:11Biggest week ever!
00:13It actually is.
00:14It actually is the biggest week ever.
00:16Definitely harder than any other week we've done on the block,
00:18for sure.
00:20A lot of pressure.
00:22Do better!
00:23Do better?
00:24Yeah, you do better if you're sleeping all night.
00:26I didn't even get to ask you how your day was
00:28and you were like, I'm gonna go.
00:30I don't care.
00:32We had Neil Whittaker judging.
00:35It's not a bad hallway.
00:37It's just not an exciting hallway.
00:39And the winner of Hellway Week...
00:41...was house number two.
00:43Yay!
00:45We won!
00:46And just to add to the pressure pile-on,
00:48we threw in the domain listing and buyer's jury.
00:52And it's worth a whopping...
00:55Why not add a bit more pressure to this week?
00:57And tonight, cracks of self-doubt begin to show.
01:00I just feel like we're not getting that much recognition
01:03and now I'm doubting myself.
01:04Don't doubt yourself.
01:05This pressure-filled week leaves some close to breaking point.
01:09We haven't even got plaster hung upstairs yet.
01:11We're three-quarters of the way through.
01:13You're so emotionally tied.
01:15Unfortunately, it's part of the block.
01:16Everyone goes through that rollercoaster ride.
01:18They're probably the deepest at the moment.
01:21But before we get to all of that,
01:23we have a very important order of business to attend to first.
01:31It's the domain buyer's challenge.
01:36Oh, my God.
01:37We've been thinking about this day all week.
01:39It's very exciting.
01:40We just took a big deep breath and just game-faced on.
01:44Oh, hello.
01:46It feels like this is the first time
01:48we're seeing the glamorous side of the block.
01:50Socialising, mingling, it's completely my jam.
01:54I love it.
01:55Now, for those just joining us,
01:57here's what you need to know about the challenge.
02:02Guys, you have got to hold an amazing open home event.
02:06Your buyers in your party
02:09will be voting for the house that they like the best.
02:14Scotty's invited...
02:15Adrian Portelli and...
02:17Danni Wallace and Frank.
02:19Frank from...
02:20Yeah, the buyer's advocate.
02:22Yeah, super successful people.
02:24Yeah, it's crazy. Crazy.
02:28We've got...
02:29Alcohol, we've got canapes, musicians.
02:33Bar crusher, DJ, couple of dancers.
02:36My parents are cooking.
02:37That will create that emotional connection.
02:39There'd be nothing better than that.
02:41I have no idea.
02:43Just throw it all in and hope for the best.
02:45Bling, bling.
02:47$50,000, thanks to Domain.
02:51The only app you can see all of this year's block listings.
02:54It's a massive prize.
02:56$50,000 would basically pay for our landscaping.
03:00Yeah, it goes straight into our landscaping, for sure.
03:02That will help us out to create a beautiful front and backyard.
03:05$50K to our budget would send us in the red to deep into the green.
03:10Maybe that's actually our game changer.
03:12Case in point,
03:13last year's winners of this very challenge, Steph and Gianne,
03:16went on to dominate at their end-of-season auction.
03:25So it's no surprise that this season
03:27our blockheads have gone all out
03:29to impress a flood of new prospective buyers.
03:37We've got three ovens, two of which are a five-in-one.
03:40They do the microwave and everything like that for you.
03:42Best view on the block.
03:43Outside is going to be all entertaining.
03:45Fireplace.
03:46It's a very relaxed feel, but beautiful finishes.
03:49If you have it as a holiday house, you can Airbnb that out
03:52and you can be here.
03:53I like their idea about what they're going to do
03:55with the upstairs area.
03:57That could be a bit of a game-changer for them as well.
04:00How are you, mate? Ricky, nice to meet you.
04:02I love the pan.
04:03You get the best parts of the beach in here.
04:05You get something very coastal.
04:07It's beautiful.
04:08Hello! I'm Kylie.
04:10It's a bit of Humphrey Bogart.
04:12Yeah, it's fabulous.
04:15Courtney and I would love to thank everyone for being here.
04:18Yeah, we appreciate it. Thanks, guys.
04:20Can't wait to see what people think of Everybody's Home,
04:23whether the judges have gotten it right
04:25for the last six, seven weeks.
04:27Yeah, really keen.
04:29Now that you're all up to speed,
04:31it's time to find out who tallied the most votes.
04:35I think I'm excited just as much as I am positive.
04:39We were pretty positive that we'd be up there.
04:41We had actually heaps of positive feedback.
04:43We feel really good and really confident.
04:45You're just hoping that you've done enough.
04:47Well, congratulations, gang.
04:49You really pulled out all the stops tonight, didn't you?
04:52Not only setting up a fantastic listing,
04:55but also an open house to remember.
04:57Only fitting, considering it's our 20th season on the block,
05:01and I'm glad I dusted off the old penguin suit.
05:04LAUGHTER
05:06And, Shel, you look like a bloody gold logie.
05:10CHEERING
05:11Beautiful. Thank you.
05:13She's beautiful.
05:14We should be so lucky to pick one of those.
05:16I tell you what, we had a lot of fun, didn't we, guys?
05:18Wandering from house to house, enjoying the soiree.
05:21It was a fabulous evening.
05:23If anyone knows a thing or two about entertaining,
05:25it is, of course, our esteemed guest tonight,
05:28Mr Neil Whitaker.
05:29Neil! CHEERING
05:31Were they parties to impress?
05:33Oh, I am blown away.
05:36That was five incredible parties.
05:38And, guys, you know that if all goes belly up,
05:42you have all got careers as party planners.
05:44LAUGHTER
05:45Seriously. They're amazing.
05:47Considering, Neil, that you are handing out the staggering
05:51and potentially block-winning $50,000 cash,
05:56thanks to Domain.
05:57Here it comes. Here it comes.
05:59Oh!
06:04Thank you very much.
06:07What does $50,000 look like in a suitcase?
06:10Please, this is what dreams are made of, aren't they?
06:13This is...
06:14Ooh!
06:16Run, Whitaker, run!
06:18LAUGHTER
06:20Thank you very, very much.
06:22Now, before we tally the votes,
06:24we would like to say thank you to you guys
06:26for throwing extraordinary parties,
06:28but also to your agents,
06:30who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes,
06:33not just this week,
06:34but obviously offering you advice all the way along.
06:36So to all our real estate agents here tonight,
06:38thank you very, very much.
06:40CHEERING
06:42David!
06:44Not to mention our favourite buyers,
06:46our good friend Frank Valenti.
06:47Thank you for coming. Thank you.
06:49And our two VIPs, Adrian Bertelli and Danny Wallace.
06:53Thank you there.
06:55They've become invested.
06:57I can't believe they like each other now.
07:00Wait till the auction.
07:02And, of course, it wouldn't be a Domain Challenge
07:04without Domain's resident property expert,
07:07the wonderful Alice.
07:12Hang on, hang on.
07:13Did I announce, I know there's $50,000 on the line here,
07:16but there is also lunch with Alice and myself tomorrow.
07:20Lovely.
07:21Yes, whoever takes out tonight's challenge
07:23will also join me and Alice at the Phillip Island Winery.
07:26She's going to spill the tea on what the buyers really thought.
07:30Come on, Cheryl, let's get to it.
07:33I've got my texter ready.
07:35All right.
07:36This is a percentage of the vote, right?
07:38It is a percentage of the vote.
07:40Ready?
07:42House one.
07:448%.
07:46Oh.
07:51House two.
07:5417%.
08:01House three.
08:0429%.
08:11Nice.
08:13House four.
08:1619%.
08:20Now, Cheryl,
08:22I want you to give me the first digit of the last house, please.
08:30Two.
08:31Two.
08:36Oh, winner of $50,000 is coming up right now.
08:40The hearts on the boys are pumping out of their chest.
08:43And so are these guys here.
08:46You've got your whole family from Adelaide with us.
08:48Ah!
08:50Second digit, Cheryl.
08:54Seven.
08:55Oh!
08:56Which means our winners are...
08:59House number three!
09:01Oh!
09:17Come and get your VP, mate!
09:29There it is, baby.
09:30There it is, 50 Gs.
09:32How's that, Bertie?
09:33Thank you very much.
09:34Good work, brother.
09:35Well done, mate.
09:36Nice.
09:37Well done.
09:38Congratulations.
09:39Good work.
09:40Thanks, Scotty.
09:41Well done, mate.
09:42Good job.
09:46Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming.
09:49Unfortunately, these beautiful people here need to paint all night.
09:53No!
09:54What?
09:55Scotty, that's highly unlikely, mate.
09:57I'm telling you.
09:58Not tonight, brother.
09:59No.
10:00I'm going to bed.
10:01You're not painting tonight?
10:02Not tonight.
10:03No.
10:04Roger that.
10:05Go back to your parties.
10:06Enjoy the evening.
10:07Good night.
10:08See ya.
10:09Woo!
10:10Boys have some parties!
10:13Didn't lose by just a little bit.
10:15It's fine.
10:16It's fine because we still have so long to go to create a beautiful home.
10:23Nice one, Britt.
10:24Good on you.
10:26They're getting absolutely crucified by the judges every single week,
10:29and they haven't won a room yet.
10:31But then for the public to say,
10:32not only can you throw a good party, but we actually like your style the best.
10:37They are actually doing well,
10:39and the judges aren't the ones buying your home in the end.
10:42And now they've won the most money.
10:46I think it's only fair.
10:47You get the baby, I get the cash.
10:48What do you reckon?
10:49Yeah, nah.
10:50The cash goes to the house, mate.
10:51Oh, I killed bet.
10:52Winning that 50k cash,
10:53we knew that we'd just gone from pushing barrows ourselves
10:56to being able to finish on a very strong note.
10:58We could win the block now.
11:00We could.
11:02Crack-ons at House 3, baby!
11:04Woo!
11:06I hope there's no noise restrictions,
11:08because we're breaking them early.
11:10Let's go!
11:11Let's go.
11:12House 3, baby!
11:13House 3!
11:14House 3!
11:15House 3!
11:16House 3!
11:17House 3!
11:18House 3!
11:19House 3!
11:23House 3!
11:24House 3!
11:25House 3!
11:26House 3!
11:27House 3!
11:28House 3!
11:29House 3!
11:30Morning!
11:37Good to see those who have decided to join us this morning.
11:42There was a couple of contestants not at pre-start.
11:54And, yeah, I think they partied on till, like, 6am.
11:58I cannot believe that people have the energy to do that.
12:01Like, hats off to them that they actually could do that.
12:03I could not stay up to 6am.
12:05Like, I was struggling to stay to 9.30.
12:10Did you party the night away?
12:12I partied the night and morning away.
12:14I was sleeping by 10.30.
12:16Decided to try and catch up on some sleep.
12:19And I have FOMO, so I have to be the last to leave.
12:21Do you want to tell us what time you went to bed?
12:23I went to bed at 6.
12:24She stayed up in...
12:25With H, me and Mickey.
12:27Then they got all the kids' games out and had a great time, didn't they?
12:31We celebrated for quite a little while and, yeah, we...
12:36I think we drifted off back to bed at around 4.30.
12:39Yeah, you might have sensed it.
12:43Was that good to blow off some steam?
12:45I think it came at the right time.
12:48This week has been, hands down,
12:50Christian and Mimi's worst week on the block so far.
12:53Things kicked off with their site getting shut down.
12:56I'm going to go downstairs, stop all works
12:58and close them down till it's clean up.
13:00There were tears.
13:02Can I just have five minutes, please?
13:04There were overreactions.
13:06How f***ing embarrassing is here?
13:08Who the f*** acts like that?
13:10Which led to House 5 failing to finish their hallway
13:13in time for yesterday's reveal.
13:15I know, look, it's not your finest moment, mate, but it happens.
13:19It's the curse of Hell Week.
13:21And do you know what? It happens to the best of them.
13:25But this morning, Christian is about to get some positive news
13:28about his downstairs rumpus room.
13:31Hi, mate. This is all good.
13:33Lovely.
13:34Got your double lint zone, got your walls in.
13:36Yep.
13:38Ready to plaster. Let's go, baby.
13:40Will they... They should set this today?
13:43Yep.
13:44And hopefully we'll sand it tomorrow and start painting tomorrow.
13:47Are you going to paint that tonight?
13:49No, if there's nothing to do tonight, I'll sand and do the hallway,
13:52but not a priority at this point.
13:56How's everything looking in the rooms today?
14:01One room's looking like it's on the right track.
14:04The other room's looking like it would be OK if it was Tuesday.
14:08This week, House 5 had the added problem
14:11of working across two levels.
14:13They've decided to turn their upstairs office space
14:16into an extra bedroom.
14:18And downstairs, this room earmarked as a guest bed,
14:21will now become their rumpus room.
14:23We've still got this room upstairs.
14:25Let's do it all the hallway, staircase.
14:28It's a lot to do.
14:32We've been set a tough task,
14:35so that's why I've been stressed all week.
14:42Grrr!
14:50It's a beautiful morning here at Phillip Island today.
14:53The sun is shining, the birds are singing,
14:56and there's fresh coffee brewing.
14:58But where are all our blockheads?
15:01Well, down the back in House 3,
15:03Builder Duncan has arrived on site
15:05and is ready to check in with his team.
15:07But I think he's about to get a little surprise.
15:10Are the boys still asleep?
15:12They haven't seen the boys yet,
15:14and there's someone asleep on the couch.
15:16Who? Oh.
15:19It's their friend. It's not one of the boys.
15:25OK, well, that's a little awkward.
15:27There's still fire in the fire,
15:29which means it's not been that long
15:31since there were logs put on there.
15:33It was a bit of a slow start this morning.
15:36I don't think we set an alarm.
15:38And I think Arash the barber might have slept on the couch, didn't he?
15:42He did. Yeah.
15:44Good morning.
15:46Sounds to me like we're going to have
15:48some very sleep-deprived blockheads on our hands today.
15:52How are we, winners?
15:56Morning.
16:00I can't quite see.
16:02I don't know what the **** is going on here.
16:04That light's too bright, so...
16:08What's going on here?
16:17Are you upset, are you?
16:19What's going on here?
16:21What the hell is this?
16:26No.
16:39Well, that's today's task over.
16:42You might not have many memories from that morning, Rick.
16:46That morning was a bit of a blur.
16:48I did go pretty hard after the challenge on Thursday.
17:00Is there a run-off on what, a pre-start tomorrow morning?
17:02I won't be a pre-start.
17:04That's video confirmation.
17:08What day is it?
17:10Friday. Guess what that means.
17:12Scotty and Shelly walk around.
17:14Roger.
17:16I'm going to get ready for Shelly.
17:18Oh, wait, I already am. I've got a tux on.
17:21So, yeah, Friday's a bit blurry for me.
17:24I just need a couple of hours to get hydrated,
17:28get myself back in the game.
17:30So, I'm good. I'm ready to go. I'm ready for another all-nighter.
17:32Let's go.
17:34Hope you enjoyed your stay at the block, Arash.
17:37Up the front in House 5,
17:40after failing to make hallway reveal just yesterday,
17:43Christian is keeping a very close eye
17:46on the plastering progress in his downstairs rumpus room.
17:49But as yet, there's still no sign of his wife Mimi.
17:52Scotty and Shelly walk around. Did you participate in that?
17:55Yes, I sure did. Oh, great. Wow. How was that?
17:57Um... Mimi woke up 15 minutes
18:00before Scotty and Shelly rocked up to House 5.
18:04Try to smash some food, drink some water,
18:07take your makeup off. Bam. Present.
18:10Why?
18:12Oh, hello, kids.
18:14Hi. G'day. Hey, Scotty.
18:16Hello, mate. How are you doing?
18:18Hello, Mimi. Come on, give us a hug.
18:21All right? Yeah, I'm good. How are you today?
18:23Yes, a lot better. I missed you yesterday.
18:25Oh, well, hug it all round. It's just too much.
18:27A lot better than yesterday. Yeah, yeah.
18:29Have you been supporting and looking after your mate?
18:31Yeah. He's very rough day yesterday.
18:33He was very upset. He'd been working so hard.
18:35Mimi had a rough day as well. Did you?
18:37Yeah. And you had Mum and Dad here cooking.
18:39How unreal was that?
18:41I love Vietnamese food, and it was beautiful.
18:43And they've gone now?
18:45Yeah, they left last night to open business this morning.
18:47They drove last night, yeah.
18:49How on earth do you thank them for that effort?
18:51Fantastic. Brilliant. Yeah, and I messaged them.
18:53I was like, I'm sorry I disappointed you by not winning.
18:55You did not disappoint them, Mimi.
18:57You were this close. I know.
18:59I heard it was one vote.
19:01Yes, it was one vote. Heartbreak.
19:03We came short by one vote.
19:05To be so close
19:07and, you know, to put the
19:09hallway as a priority for this week
19:11for that very reason,
19:13just a little bit of heartbreak
19:15to add to our already terrible week.
19:17But the confidence
19:19that people loved your house,
19:21the confidence that it felt
19:23like an entertainer's paradise,
19:25that's got to give you a little bit of wind
19:27in your sails for today?
19:29Yeah, 100%. I think we woke up this morning feeling a lot better
19:31than we were the last couple of days,
19:33purely from the positive feedback.
19:35Do you know who voted for your house?
19:37Adrian and Danni.
19:39And they had two votes each.
19:41Adrian and Danni
19:43both voted for our house.
19:47Which is huge!
19:49Please have a bidding war.
19:51Besides the $50,000 prize that
19:53House 3 got, I think that was probably
19:55the next best thing.
19:57Hey, what are you doing in here?
19:59You changed this around, didn't you?
20:01This was meant to be a bedroom.
20:03And you decided this is your rumpus because you wanted to access the pool.
20:05We made the executive decision a couple of weeks ago
20:07and it was a relief
20:09to lock it in.
20:11Christian and Mimi's new ground floor rumpus area
20:13now has direct access
20:15to their backyard pool
20:17and ensuite bathroom.
20:19Christian and Mimi are adding in herringbone
20:21wooden floors,
20:23coffee table, wooden cabinet,
20:25glass sliding door,
20:27chair curtains and an aquatic-inspired artwork.
20:29I think the other thing
20:31that we had in mind as well is if
20:33you've got a long day at the beach, you come back and you're all sandy,
20:35you can also come through the side gate.
20:37We're going to put a little shower there or
20:39you can come in and use the shower as well.
20:41We're going to do an outdoor shower.
20:43Also, if you're in the pool and you need to go to the toilet,
20:45you can just come straight into this room.
20:47What about a little bar fridge?
20:49Hey, are you only doing one space?
20:51That's a bedroom.
20:53We changed it to a bedroom.
20:55House 5's second room, unlike all the other rooms
20:57this week, is on a second level
20:59upstairs.
21:01Christian and Mimi have decided to turn their office
21:03into an extra bedroom,
21:05adding in a double bed,
21:07modest wardrobe, reading chair
21:09and a coastal-inspired artwork.
21:11So how many bedrooms does that
21:13make this place? Five.
21:15That's attractive too, isn't it?
21:17On Phillip Island, a five-bedroom house
21:19sells for, on average, $160,000
21:21more than a four-bedroom home.
21:23So by the sounds
21:25of our planning, it looks like we've
21:27done the right thing.
21:29Your budget's alright? You're going good?
21:31It's amazing.
21:33I think this
21:35week's going to put a bit of a dent in it though.
21:37We had to plaster the whole
21:39hallway and two rooms.
21:41But it looks good.
21:43When we walked around yesterday, obviously
21:45dire straits, but the plaster's
21:47in, now all you've got to do is paint it.
21:49It's great, you're almost there.
21:511.2 metre hallway, I love it.
21:53Good luck guys.
21:55What do you think your chances are this week?
21:57There's still so much to do.
21:59So
22:01still semi-defeated, but
22:03we'll try and be a bit more positive today.
22:05I think if we can get the rooms done and painted
22:07and styled exactly how
22:09we want them to be, then
22:11we could be in for a chance.
22:17Which contestants do you
22:19think are creating a winning room this week?
22:21To cast your vote, all you have to
22:23do is head to the Block website now.
22:25And while you're there, don't forget
22:27to check out all of our amazing
22:29room galleries.
22:37Less than a
22:39month to go here at the Block Phillip Island,
22:41there's still plenty of work to be done to
22:43finish off our uniquely designed
22:45family holiday homes.
22:47But
22:49down the back in House 3,
22:51Rikki and Hayden are still yet to clock on for
22:53work after a late night of
22:55celebration.
22:57Well, hopefully they're up, Shell.
22:59Don't hold a lot of hope, Scotty.
23:03Really, are we just at this
23:05stage, are we?
23:07Good morning.
23:09It's walk-arounds and it's 20 to 10
23:11and you're getting mic'd up.
23:13Soundo's just a little bit slow this morning.
23:15Oh, that'd be slow this morning, wouldn't it?
23:17The crew was slow this morning, weren't they?
23:19I saw some photos of you two.
23:23You'll put in on a show,
23:25there's no doubt about it. The Brazilian dancers
23:27and the DJ, the bar crusher.
23:29Just being ourselves, mate.
23:31Just another day.
23:33That's just a stand weekend for me.
23:35You guys call that Friday.
23:37Oh, God.
23:39You are the challenge masters.
23:41There's no doubt about it.
23:43We've just got to finish rooms on time.
23:45I think you've just got to
23:47not sleep until 9.30
23:49and help your poor fellas out
23:51up there. If you want to get it finished,
23:53you're actually going to have to do something.
23:55And also, a big celebration last night, Shell, 50 grand.
23:57But then if you're going to have another room that's not finished,
23:59you really don't want to be that team, do you?
24:01No, not at all.
24:03So pull your fingers out, get up there and show us what you're doing.
24:05Alright, done.
24:07House 3's upstairs level
24:09features an office and
24:11rumpus areas, along with a bedroom
24:13and a bathroom. The office area?
24:15Office in the bin.
24:17Ricky and Hayden have decided to turn their
24:19office area into a fully-fledged
24:21games room, featuring
24:23a pool table, arcade games
24:25and mini-parks. And out the back
24:27of the rumpus, they'll feature the famous
24:29Phillip Island racetrack via some
24:31Grafico wall art, along with a
24:33wall-mounted large screen TV,
24:35beechwood coffee table
24:37and a couple of comfy couches.
24:41Obviously this space is a...
24:43This is going to be our games room.
24:45So, pool table here,
24:47little pool table. Little pool table with
24:49my nice flipper ones. Yep, correct.
24:51What's it called? Air hockey.
24:53Ah, okay. I thought about a dart board up here,
24:55but don't know about throwing darts.
24:57Ah!
24:59But it does lead to the fact
25:01that it's also an island. You are going to cop
25:03some inclement weather now and then.
25:05So you need indoor activities.
25:07I think Scotty was more pumped up, the fact that we're
25:09going to have a pool table up there and a few arcade
25:11games and a cocktail bar that he can
25:13come and spend some time with us.
25:15Yeah, beauty. And then rumpus?
25:17Rumpus there, and it's going to have a nice LG
25:19TV on the wall, sofa bed, so you
25:21can sleep someone in there. But it's going to have a nice
25:23sheer that closes it off and turns it into a
25:25fifth bedroom that comes across.
25:27Ah, from here? Yep. Okay, well it's a
25:29good space. Good space. You know what would be good
25:31in the other room? I don't know if there's room
25:33in there. It's a bit small, like creating a bunk room.
25:35Yep. You know like...
25:37Holiday houses have bunk rooms.
25:39You know, where you can sleep eight
25:41kids. Yeah, that's cool. That's a good idea.
25:43Yep. It makes sense
25:45having the bunks next to the games room.
25:47So, yeah, we might
25:49have to change our plan a little bit.
25:51I think, you know, the more beds the better
25:53when it comes to a holiday home, so
25:55yeah, we might have to reconsider that. Definitely
25:57something to think about. Alright, good on you boys.
25:59Well done. Congratulations.
26:01Do some work, would you please?
26:03Yes, we will. Yep. Thank you.
26:05What are you talking about? You're taking them to lunch!
26:07Oh! In two hours!
26:09Forget that, I'll see you at lunch.
26:11Send the warriors.
26:15You know what they say,
26:17winners are grinners and losers can
26:19please themselves. And over
26:21in house one, Maddie and Charlotte
26:23are still coming to terms with their
26:25heavy loss in last night's domain
26:27challenge. All these people said
26:29that they loved the house and that they would
26:31vote for it, and then we
26:33get 8 flippin' percent.
26:35All a bit confusing.
26:37I'm like, uh, sorry, what?
26:392.3 and then it's 900
26:41out. Yeah, 900.
26:43Hey girls. Hello.
26:45How are you doing? That's pretty.
26:47Oh, thank you. Yeah, fix me up.
26:49Yeah, no, you look gorgeous. You know what I saw this morning,
26:51Cheryl? What did you see?
26:53I saw my good mate here, Charlotte,
26:55carrying sheet supply
26:57off the ute, 22 years old, big sheet of
26:59ply, right, right
27:01into the, from the ute into the site.
27:03But watch, here it is, right now.
27:11There you go, look at you carrying that sheet of ply.
27:13Magnificent. There you go. That's great, isn't it?
27:15Very good. You need to teach those boys
27:17a thing or two, down the end there.
27:19You must have just missed me
27:21carrying them.
27:27I wasn't sleeping, I was planning.
27:29That's what it does. It is.
27:31Shall we tell you our plans? Your plans do.
27:33Is this a work from home space?
27:35Not really. We just didn't
27:37think that it was super valuable
27:39for a holiday house to have an office
27:41space of this size. Yes.
27:43I think we could use this for something
27:45that adds a little bit more value to the property.
27:47So we've actually turned this into our kids
27:49TV rumpus kind of room.
27:51House 1's rumpus area will feature
27:53a TV unit atop a
27:55feature wall above timber
27:57cabinetry. A desk will provide
27:59a small work from home area and
28:01a four-seated couch will sit up against
28:03the balustrade. And we've actually
28:05turned that space into a guest
28:07retreat. I want to see what you're talking about.
28:09In addition to their rumpus room,
28:11the girls have a plan to stand out from the pack
28:13by converting the bulk of the
28:15upstairs mezzanine into a guest
28:17retreat, which will feature a
28:19guest bedroom, ensuite
28:21and another living space, which will
28:23also be presented this week.
28:25A potentially auction-winning spiral
28:27staircase will provide external
28:29access to the entire
28:31self-contained space, which can also
28:33be closed off to the rest of the main house.
28:35The second living area will feature
28:37a James Hardy feature wall
28:39and twin armchairs overlooking
28:41a TV unit. And a glass
28:43doorway will lead to the spiral staircase.
28:45But you're not presenting this
28:47this week, obviously. No, we're presenting half the room
28:49so that it's like consistent
28:51with the other. So that space...
28:53It'll be a bit random for the judges.
28:55No, no, that'll come back backyard
28:57landscaping week. I think it's a
28:59great idea, and it sets you apart.
29:01We're super, obviously, like
29:03into adding value
29:05for the buyer, and so we
29:07want to, on auction day, have a reason
29:09that a buyer would go, oh,
29:11like their house is different. And not just
29:13aesthetically, because aesthetics can be changed.
29:15This stuff kind of like is structural
29:17stuff that does set you apart.
29:19Um, how did you feel about last night?
29:21It is what it is. It's obviously disappointing,
29:23but at the same time, we're
29:25like, what are we
29:27going to do? Like, we can't do anything about it, so
29:29we're just going to keep going and...
29:31That's right, and auction is very different
29:33to the buyer's jury. The domain challenge
29:35results. What's that all about? Talk us
29:37through this. I was winning the night
29:39in terms of sleep, but I was losing
29:41the competition. It is what it is.
29:43It is what it is. It's not auction, so
29:45it's fine.
29:47Coming up...
29:49Failure fears lead to Courtney's
29:51tears. Is anyone going to buy
29:53a house, or is it all going to be
29:55f***ing re-planned? I don't know.
29:57Don't feel that way.
29:59You've got what you need.
30:01The boys get some advice from Domain's
30:03Alice Stultz over lunch.
30:05Cheers. Oh, nice. She came up with
30:07some great ideas for us
30:09to spend our cash on. What about some water toys
30:11like stand-up paddle board?
30:13Surfboard, e-bikes,
30:15scooters.
30:17We're just thinking, we didn't win $150,000,
30:19maybe we just can't be farming a little bit.
30:23And Christian ebbs ever
30:25closer to breaking point. It's just
30:27impossible. We're not going to finish this week again.
30:29I just feel like we're just falling further and further
30:31behind.
30:33Tough week. Yeah.
30:35Tough week.
30:45As
30:47we fast
30:49approach the business end of the season,
30:51many of our blockheads are starting to feel
30:53the pinch of the long hours.
30:59And the many highs
31:01and lows of block-block.
31:03So it's not surprising
31:05that the results of last night's Domain Challenge
31:07has hit some harder than others.
31:09Do you feel like you guys are getting better
31:11at this block thing?
31:13I feel like our results are getting worse.
31:29The competition,
31:31yes, you're renovating
31:33the home, but the biggest
31:35thing is, like,
31:37mentally, you're drained.
31:39Hey Google.
31:41Oh, mum.
31:43You don't feel like your usual self.
31:45You really don't. And that's, like, the hardest
31:47part of it. And you go into it,
31:49you have no idea it's going to be like that.
31:51We had the Domain
31:53Challenge last night.
31:55Was it close, the results?
31:57We came second last.
31:59OK. OK. That's why
32:01you sound flat, I think.
32:03It kind of makes me feel stupid,
32:05like, I can't do my job. I'm in
32:07design, and...
32:09No, I don't feel that way.
32:11I don't feel that way.
32:13You're good at what you do.
32:15I just feel like we're not getting that much recognition.
32:17Now I'm doubting myself, like,
32:19I don't know. Is anyone going to buy
32:21our house, or is it all going to be
32:23**** pre-planned? I don't know.
32:25It'll be worth it in the end, I know.
32:29As long as you're doing the best you can,
32:31you can't do any more, can you?
32:33Yeah, it's true.
32:35It's hard. It's hard
32:37to...
32:39We're living in a bubble, almost, and
32:41it feels like it becomes your world.
32:43There's more to life outside the block.
32:45This is an amazing opportunity.
32:47I'll always be grateful for the opportunity.
32:49But at the end of the day, the most important thing
32:51is you're going back healthy and happy.
32:53Yeah.
33:01And how were you feeling on Friday, Brad?
33:03Yeah.
33:05I was feeling like a smashed abbo.
33:07Yes.
33:09Have a good trip, mate. Thanks, mate.
33:11We're going to have a date day.
33:13Cocktails!
33:15Not a chance. No!
33:17I've got a lot of driving to do because
33:19I've got to go to Dandenong South
33:21to the Freedom Warehouse to pick up my
33:23TV cabinet. So I thought
33:25he may as well come with me because he's not going to be
33:27any good to Benny, and he would just get
33:29yelled at all day. So instead, we can share
33:31the drive.
33:33Share the drive.
33:35Share the drive.
33:39And what did he do?
33:41Slept all day in the car.
33:49Woke up and had a bit of cold mackers.
33:51Yeah, woke up and did have very cold mackers.
33:57The trip was lovely.
33:59Very peaceful.
34:01Yeah, I didn't get any conversation from him at all.
34:03I think
34:05that sat in the car for about an hour and a half
34:07before you actually ate it.
34:09Lucky it doesn't ever go off.
34:13Are they cold?
34:15You don't care?
34:17He's lost
34:19the ability to speak.
34:23How's your day going, Brad?
34:31Over in
34:33House 2, Courtney and Grant
34:35who have been feeling a little despondent
34:37after last night's challenge
34:39are about to get a little surprise
34:41from the block's fairy godmother.
34:43Oh, look at him, busy, busy
34:45working away.
34:47How are you? Great. How are you?
34:49I'm good. Are you feeling better? Yeah.
34:51Because you were the most exhausted block
34:53contestant I've ever seen.
34:55Grant physically looked so exhausted.
34:57I was, I was. That's a bloody good effort,
34:59mate. Well done. Thank you, mate.
35:01Still managed to turn it on. It was worth it.
35:03You won the hallway. Yeah. It was a good night, though.
35:05Gee, we have some good times on this show, don't we?
35:07We do. Good times.
35:09Remember that beautiful little birthday party with three?
35:11That was a good time, wasn't it? Holy one.
35:13Happy birthday, big fella.
35:15There you go.
35:17Went to Grumpy's Putt-Putt in Cowes.
35:19Yeah, it was actually really fitting.
35:21Was it?
35:23I just want to say that this joint
35:25used to be called Happy's.
35:27But I renamed it Grumpy's
35:29after the birthday.
35:31Grumpy's.
35:33Yeah, Grumpy's.
35:35That's where the nickname came from.
35:37So we do have a little memento. Happy birthday.
35:39Should we put it in the study, Jess?
35:41I think you should crack it open
35:43and see what you like. Let's have a look, Courtney.
35:45Can you hold that?
35:47It's actually a really good photo, this one.
35:49It's a great shot. Courtney, can we take this home?
35:51I want to put this
35:53in our living room at home.
35:55We could sell this with the house.
35:57It's a good photo. I think we're going to hang it in the house.
35:59I want to take that home.
36:01I actually want to hang it in our house.
36:03We'll see.
36:05Well, let's get this room done. What's your plan?
36:07This is our rumpus room.
36:09It's a chill zone. It's a bit of a breakout space.
36:11House 2's rumpus area
36:13is located at the rear of their second level
36:15mezzanine floor.
36:17Courtney and Grant's rumpus area will feature
36:19a green corduroy show's lounge,
36:21a white stone coffee table
36:23in front of an 83-inch LG TV
36:25and a port-a-timber feature wall.
36:27So that's your work-from-home space.
36:29That's our work-from-home space.
36:31That one we're excited about. We managed to
36:33build that curve in from the kitchen
36:35and then we've tied it
36:37into the door entrance just over there.
36:39House 2's office space sits in front of
36:41their mezzanine level, overlooking
36:43the lower entertaining area beneath.
36:45And in addition to their
36:47curved-knit wall balustrade,
36:49House 2's work-from-home space
36:51will feature a curved timber work desk,
36:53two recessed spaces for storage
36:55and twin armchairs.
36:57Are you OK?
36:59Yeah, I'm alright. I'm just feeling **** today.
37:01OK, alrighty.
37:03Four weeks to go.
37:05Yeah, I get that. Oh, you're sore too?
37:07Are you OK?
37:09Yeah.
37:11Are you alright? I knew it wouldn't
37:13happen the best day, but I didn't know it was that bad.
37:15I just can tell by your little voice.
37:17You don't have a pep in your step
37:19when we have these Scotty and Shelly walk-arounds as usual.
37:21I'm just so disappointed about last night too.
37:23We came second last.
37:25I just don't know if we're doing the right thing anymore.
37:27No, you are. You've got really great style.
37:29You've got flair.
37:31Jenny and Adrian loved
37:33your master bedroom.
37:35We don't ever bank on a win, but we also didn't
37:37think we'd be second last.
37:39Please, it's beautiful.
37:41Your house is beautiful. Thank you, guys.
37:43We think you're doing a great job.
37:45Thank you so much.
37:47Beautiful job. Thank you.
37:49We love Scotty and Shelly. I think sometimes you just
37:51need that support.
37:53You just never know if you're doing
37:55the right thing.
37:57It's nice to hear their thoughts too.
38:09The block is renowned for its brutally
38:11fast pace and unrelenting
38:13pressure.
38:15But there's one little place
38:17on site where you can always go
38:19to find a caffeinated energy boost,
38:21a kind word, and a
38:23friendly ear.
38:25How's your head right now?
38:27Good.
38:29My landscaper sent me an email
38:31this morning saying that he quit.
38:33I've got to find a new landscaper this morning.
38:35What happened?
38:37The landscaper quit.
38:39The local? The hottie?
38:41I believe Tina is referring to
38:43this guy, who is the off-sider
38:45to this guy, local
38:47landscaper Sean. But, unfortunately...
38:49He quit Anzac Day.
38:51OK. New guy quit
38:53this morning. The new guy Ricky is now referring
38:55to is this guy, who
38:57goes by the name of Joel Dirk.
38:59The latest landscaper the boys thought they
39:01had locked in last week.
39:03What are you doing to them? Jesus. No, because the first one was about
39:05the... About the house two not paying bills?
39:07Yeah. Yep, that's right, Tina.
39:09Because this all went down just a
39:11couple of weeks ago. We know that
39:13there's outstanding invoices.
39:15Sean, he said that the word is going around
39:17that the island, that the block
39:19isn't paying their trades. The outstanding
39:21bills were from house two,
39:23who at the time had two unpaid bills
39:25due with local business Betsy's
39:27Glass. My landscapers have
39:29rolled up today and they're like, the word around
39:31the island is that trades
39:33aren't getting paid here. Let's not make this a big deal
39:35because there's no word on the street.
39:37We pay all of our builders.
39:39The word spreads quick on the island. Those guys
39:41haven't paid Betsy's and then
39:43those guys know that there's people on the block
39:45not paying bills.
39:47Even though Courtney and Grant have since paid their
39:49overdue bills, it seems
39:51the damage has already been done.
39:53This new guy's done some research
39:55and then gone, f*** yeah, f*** this.
39:57I've heard a few horror stories,
39:59I'm not going to lie. Yeah, yeah. It's not on
40:01you guys. No, no. Did the horror stories
40:03like in the past or horror stories from this year
40:05alone? Yeah, I know a couple of guys that have bailed
40:07on this year. I'm just a little bit sceptical.
40:09I personally believe that
40:11we're facing a similar situation
40:13that we're once again victim of this
40:15non-paying the bills scenario.
40:17Well, you just tell these landscapers,
40:19I've just got 50k,
40:21let's go. Yeah, you.
40:23He called up this morning, he's like, I heard you won,
40:25well done, but I'm out.
40:27Sucks to be you.
40:29Landscapers, their jobs are
40:316, 8 weeks, 10, 12 weeks at a time.
40:33The odds of us finding a landscaper
40:35within a week's notice
40:37is, it's not possible.
40:39So, oh man,
40:41at this stage, I'm half
40:43tempted to pick the bloody bar up myself.
40:45We could be the new gym.
40:47R&H entities.
40:49R&H mowing.
40:51Anyways.
40:53Have a good day ladies, thank you. Bye.
40:59You feel a bit sick? Yeah.
41:01Do you? I need water.
41:03Hello. Scotty, Shelley.
41:05The last little pack up happening.
41:07The last of all the packing up.
41:09I heard a rumour that you're a bit fragile,
41:11Brad. Oh, it's not too bad, Scotty.
41:13It was worth celebrating.
41:15Yeah, it was a good night.
41:17What was the feedback that you were getting last night?
41:19The general feedback was everyone loved it.
41:21I'm assuming the ones that maybe
41:23were polarised by it maybe didn't comment.
41:25Okay. Yeah. Obviously winning
41:27this space, all
41:29put together, looks magnificent. You've got one
41:31space left to go, really, which is
41:33upstairs, a couple of rooms. Yeah.
41:35Who's to say that that's not a winner up there as well?
41:37House 4's office sits
41:39up front on their mezzanine level.
41:41Kylie and Brad's mezzanine office
41:43will feature a decked on stone clad
41:45desk, black storage cabinet
41:47and leather couch overlooking the
41:49living and dining area. Black curtains
41:51will provide privacy
41:53and sound insulation from the downstairs
41:55area. House 4's
41:57rumpus space resides at the
41:59rear of their second level mezzanine floor.
42:01The rumpus space will feature a sofa
42:03bed, armchair and stone
42:05coffee table in front of the TV.
42:07What did you decide
42:09to do with the balustrade? Because I know you were considering
42:11glass. We're doing glass. You're doing glass? Yeah, I saw the glass
42:13walking in. Yeah, we are doing glass.
42:15But another thing we're actually doing is we're
42:17doing dark shears all the way
42:19across. So if there is a separate living
42:21family up there, they can actually be
42:23closed off and have a little bit of privacy.
42:25So it'll be completely open when you want it to,
42:27but then if you want the privacy without closing
42:29it in. I think that's a good idea. At least that curtain can
42:31give you some privacy. Yeah. And can dull
42:33the noise a little bit. Exactly. Because that's my only issue
42:35with the glass. It's such a big void
42:37that it would bounce around a little bit.
42:39Yeah, for sure. I still don't think they're
42:41the massive fan of the glass balustrade.
42:43They're just worried about the noise.
42:45But the other options that we
42:47had for balustrading just doesn't really fit
42:49in with what we're trying to do.
42:51It doesn't really match the aesthetics.
42:53Yeah, so it sort of makes sense for us to go
42:55with the glass. Well,
42:57go and have a little rest. Not too much.
42:59Go and have a lie down, sugar.
43:01Yeah. Oh, well, good luck
43:03on Sunday. Thank you. Well, Mark, see you later.
43:05See you soon. Thank you. See you soon.
43:07Back up the front in House 5,
43:09Christian is very keen to get
43:11Dan's sign off on his upstairs
43:13insulation, so he can get
43:15them all rolling on his bedroom.
43:19Always looking good, mate. Stay well.
43:21Getting there. All coming along? Coming together.
43:23Okay, good.
43:25Well, we're not too far away from in here.
43:27Yep.
43:29Getting close. A few more bags
43:31and we'll be alright. Yeah, nice.
43:33Plaster both today, upstairs, downstairs?
43:35Finish?
43:37No English.
43:39That's okay.
43:41So pretty much the plastering team
43:43was downstairs in our pool room
43:45and there was talks
43:47whether to get them out and upstairs
43:49to try and start plastering that room
43:51so that they could then come back
43:53and then stop up both rooms tomorrow.
43:55But I just feel like they're just
43:57falling further and further behind.
43:59So with no help coming from his wife Mimi,
44:01who's back in bed,
44:03Christian,
44:05who's now facing the very real possibility
44:07of not finishing again
44:09this week, gets on the blower
44:11to his good mate Grumpy from House 2
44:13to try a new plan of attack.
44:15How are your plasters going?
44:17Yeah, good, bro. They're just doing our shelves
44:19and our easy jamming
44:21and they should be done.
44:23We're probably not going to present a room
44:25if we don't get upstairs plastered.
44:27It's ****.
44:29I know. So just let me know
44:31if they'll be keen to
44:33shoot upstairs.
44:35I've got the crew down here.
44:37I don't know whether it's just going to be
44:39too hard for them to finish off
44:41but, yeah, it's just ****.
44:43Okay, mate, let me know.
44:45Thanks, mate.
44:47Following reinforcements, mate?
44:49Oh, it's going to have to be done,
44:51otherwise we're just not going to finish.
44:53We've been set a virtually impossible task this week.
44:55It's just...
44:57Which space is your problem?
44:59Just upstairs. We've been plodding along trying to get it done
45:01but it's just not happening quick enough.
45:03So even if they can just come and hang the sheets
45:05for a couple of hours and then the guys
45:07that are here can just stop it up,
45:09then at least get a bit of a head start
45:11to a still almost impossible
45:13couple of nights.
45:17Ooh.
45:21What a diner.
45:23What a diner.
45:25It's always great getting off the block
45:27and going out for lunch.
45:29California, yeah.
45:37Especially
45:39when you're going with guests like
45:41Shelly and Alice.
45:43Gentlemen. How are we?
45:45No taxes.
45:47Listening to their advice
45:49and feedback and ideas.
45:51I was so impressed with your
45:53property last night and also your listing.
45:55It was so personalised.
45:57I was really impressed by that
45:59because I think listings can feel very generic
46:01and that you pulled out everything
46:03you mentioned, the boat, the basketball,
46:05offering something very unique to the other houses.
46:07And I also love the pic of you guys in it.
46:09You made it feel like it was your home
46:11and that's what's special about it.
46:13It's hard to sort of stop for any moment of reflection
46:15in the block. You barely get a moment to think about
46:17anything. So it's wild
46:19to think that now we're writing
46:21our own real estate listing
46:23for a house that we are building ourselves.
46:25I can't believe that this is where
46:27we're at right now. Have a look at this.
46:29That is a salad. Wow.
46:31Thank you so much. Yum.
46:33So, 50k in the bag.
46:35Thank you very much. That was
46:37well needed. What sort of things
46:39have you thought you might like
46:41to add now that you've got the budget for it?
46:43We're going to spend a lot of money on plants
46:45regardless of whether we run the 50 or not.
46:47I think what would be nice is if we can
46:49buy some nice established trees or something.
46:51Like a date tree, like an established
46:53you know, like what's in front of House 5.
46:55Yeah, yeah. That idea of
46:57sort of extending that feeling of
46:59Phillip Island to where you guys are
47:01and how beautiful it can look.
47:03Didn't know that Alice
47:05was such an ideas person.
47:07She came up with some great ideas
47:09for us to spend our cash on.
47:11What about some water toys like stand-up paddle board,
47:13windsurfers surfboard,
47:15etc. E-bikes, scooters.
47:17Yeah. Yeah. And then I thought around
47:19this sort of idea of making this incredible
47:21entertaining space outside.
47:23It can really just set a tone.
47:25Bar, keg or a beer tap on it.
47:27Like it's an all-round entertaining space
47:29all year round. You can get these terrace TVs
47:31like outdoor TVs. Yeah.
47:33I was just thinking, we didn't want to win
47:35150k, Alice. Maybe just calm your
47:37farm a little bit.
47:39What you're doing so well at the moment
47:41is this lifestyle thing and I think
47:43your listing really reflected that.
47:45You're creating an escape for people.
47:47You're not trying to be like, come down here and do
47:49serious work and wear a suit and tie all day. You're like,
47:51come down here, unfurl, unwind.
47:53I think what we did learn is that we have to win
47:55some more money so we can really send
47:57it. So we've got to come up with
47:59some sort of idea
48:01on how to best spend our money
48:03and then also try and win rumpus this way
48:05if we go hard.
48:15What are you doing, Dan?
48:17There's no one on site.
48:19The boys are at the Domain lunch.
48:21All the other guys have gone shopping
48:23so I'm just going to take 5-10 minutes.
48:25Got some snacks.
48:27Let's see what Disney Plus have got.
48:29Great, the Kardashians.
48:31My favourite.
48:33Must be half hour.
48:49After a sluggish start this morning,
48:51the block looks to finally be back
48:53in full swing this afternoon.
48:59And after a lovely long lunch
49:01at the Phillip Island Winery,
49:03it's time for the boys from House 3
49:05to finally get back to reality.
49:07Room Progress, how is
49:09everything looking? Are you on track?
49:11So obviously, it's not like we can
49:13spend a week celebrating this challenge win.
49:15It's just on to the next room.
49:17We're looking alright though. The plaster is
49:19just smashing it out and we're hoping
49:21to be painting tomorrow.
49:25Yeah, plaster will be finished by the end of today.
49:27Our plastering is definitely
49:29going to be the hero.
49:31A feature wall
49:33is being installed. Jiprock
49:35has been completed.
49:37We've got a decent
49:39amount of stuff done and then
49:41there's still a decent amount of work left.
49:45Our room is not going great.
49:49There's still a lot to do.
49:51There's just too much to do.
49:57Is everyone just exhausted?
49:59I think it's been an exhausting
50:01week for everyone on the block this week.
50:03With the just sheer size
50:05of those rumpus office areas
50:07in each home and the
50:09sheer size of the week,
50:11I reckon that there's a few
50:13sore heads just slaving away
50:15to try and get in.
50:17I'm feeling very tired.
50:19It's just really hard.
50:21It started off really good
50:23and then obviously you're going to get fatigued.
50:25You're going to start having
50:27arguments. You don't have your space.
50:29You don't have time to heal.
50:31It's weird. I don't necessarily feel like myself.
50:33It's stressful
50:35and you're not doing normal everyday
50:37tasks.
50:39The tasks that you're doing are so
50:41straining and fatiguing.
50:43It's just really hard.
50:45Straining and fatiguing
50:47and all you want to do is lay down
50:49with your kids and just give them a cuddle.
50:51Sometimes you need a hug.
50:53Sometimes you do need a hug or just to know you're not alone.
50:55Everyone's just really feeling it.
50:57It's coming to the end. What, three more weeks?
50:59It's going to be a push.
51:01It's really going to be a push.
51:05But sometimes on the block,
51:07even a good hard push won't get
51:09you to where you want to be,
51:11as Christian is about to find out.
51:13I spoke to Sam.
51:15He has to go to house three after this.
51:17Sorry, Bryce.
51:19Can't they multiply in there and get a few more going?
51:21It's just impossible. We're not going to finish this week again.
51:25Look how popular your house was last week.
51:27Oh no.
51:29That's what you've got to remember.
51:31What's the plan of attack, Christian? You're just looking at this realistically
51:33and assessing what you think you're going to be able to finish.
51:35In the time frame that
51:37plaster takes to dry
51:39and the amount of work that was left,
51:41I sort of went to
51:43Foreman Dan just for some advice.
51:47Because there's just not
51:49enough time to finish
51:51two rooms and two hallways in a stairwell.
51:57What's up, bud?
51:59Oh, Dan, I'm thinking about pulling the pin
52:01on this week. Not giving up
52:03totally, but just maybe
52:05concentrating to present one room 100%.
52:07And then just maybe
52:09try and cancel the carpet,
52:11the paint, the grafico
52:13for the upstairs room, because
52:15I just don't think we're going to get it done
52:17to a high quality.
52:19And it's just going to
52:21be way too hard.
52:23Just way too hard.
52:25So you want to keep the reveal downstairs
52:27and not reveal upstairs?
52:29It's hard to pull the pin on it,
52:31especially because we've gone to
52:33judging and we want to be a chance
52:35for that $10,000.
52:37Just at this stage, we're not even,
52:39we haven't even got plaster hung upstairs yet.
52:41They haven't even started top up.
52:43Concentrate downstairs,
52:45get that done.
52:47Because you want quality.
52:49At least if you've got downstairs percentage.
52:51It's up to you guys. I mean, you've been put through the ringer this week.
52:53You've got the longest,
52:55you've got the most amount of hallways. You had the two.
52:57So I understand.
53:01After, you know, having a chat
53:03to him, I thought it was a good idea to just
53:05completely pull the pin on the office because
53:07it was just becoming too hard.
53:09So, and
53:11just, it just didn't seem like
53:13there'd be any possibility that we could finish
53:15both rooms in time. So this week, we'll only
53:17be presenting one room.
53:23Tough week. Yeah.
53:25Tough week.
53:27Fuck.
53:37Look, the block is a marathon.
53:39It's 12, 13 weeks
53:41of non-stop hard
53:43work.
53:49And right now, we're in that
53:51three quarters of the way through
53:53where you're so emotionally tired,
53:55sleep deprived, but you've just got to
53:57somehow try and get your second wind. It hasn't
53:59come yet for house five.
54:01Maybe when they get over this hurdle
54:03this week, it might come and give them that last lift.
54:05Hopefully it does, but right now, they're in the trenches.
54:07They've got to try and find their way
54:09out of it. Unfortunately, it's part
54:11of the block. Everyone goes through that
54:13process, that rollercoaster ride.
54:15They're probably the deepest at the moment,
54:17unfortunately.
54:19But all it can take is a win.
54:21Whether that be a room win or a challenge win.
54:23And then you get your lift again.
54:25Look at house three. Look at the boys.
54:27They were down the dumps at the start of this week.
54:29Nearly wanted to go.
54:31And now they're flying high. They're loving life.
54:35That's all it takes, so hopefully something good
54:37comes house five's way pretty soon.
54:41At the end of the day,
54:43the decision to pull the pin
54:45upstairs came down to the timing.
54:47Like, if we had won
54:49like, for example, the living dining room
54:51or we'd won, you know, the room the week
54:53before and we sort of had some sort
54:55of success recently,
54:57the downs wouldn't feel so
54:59deep.
55:01It just feels like the downs
55:03are just going down, down, down.
55:07Mimi's not going to finish
55:09painting this hallway by herself tonight. But I can try.
55:11Nah, I don't agree
55:13with that plan.
55:15See, you always be unreasonable.
55:17You're unreasonable.
55:22Join us
55:24Sunday night as our blockheads
55:26push to deliver this week's rooms.
55:28Some
55:30knock it out of the park.
55:32This is what you call
55:34a leg of your own. And others leave
55:36the judges less than impressed.
55:40This is functionally
55:42useless.
55:44Ten out of ten
55:46for creating the most uncomfortable room
55:48we've seen this season. Ouch.
55:50That's bad.
55:52I hate this place.
