Halloween divides the public every year as to whether or not we should be splashing our hard-earned cash on a (sort of) holiday just weeks before the festive season begins. In some shops this year locals can find Halloween decorations in one aisle and Christmas decorations in the next, prompting them to speak up on whether the spooky season is worth all the fuss.

00:05I think Halloween is a money making thing, it's a waste of money and it's just like to get money out of you basically really.
00:14I like to spend my money on Christmas and my kids are growing up anyway.
00:19Scrap Halloween and the money they spend on Halloween you can spend it on Christmas and have more celebration with the family.
00:25We didn't even really bother with Halloween because it was a waste of money to be fair.
00:28We used to go Halloweening but we just thought it was a money making thing and obviously the world's dangerous at the moment anyway.
00:35So you can't be out, it's not safe.

01:27I think it's a great idea but I do wish it would be treated differently.
01:33In what way?
01:35I feel like now people don't put effort into it so like people don't do the costumes and trick or treating.
01:42I think it's a good thing, it's good for like the kids to go out and go trick or treating at the parties and things but nowadays it's not as fun.
