The award of Young Farmer of the Year was presented to Rebekah Evans at the NI Farming Awards 2024. Rebekah is 20 years old an the knowledge and ambition which she demonstrates in the farming world, which comes natural to her, is outstanding for someone of such a young age.

00:11The award celebrates our young farmers who demonstrate excellence in agriculture in such a way
00:16that stands him or her out from their peers.
00:19The finalist in this category, Alistair Craig,
00:22nominated for Young Farmer of the Year for Advancing Regenerative Farming,
00:26developing a multi-seed speeder with earth engineering
00:31and expanding crop rotations to enhance sustainability.
00:35Then there's Sarah Davison.
00:37Sarah has spent the last two years working across the world,
00:40including managing a large dairy farm in Australia
00:43and now returning home to transfer her learnings here to the farmers in Northern Ireland.
00:49Then we have Rebecca Evans. Rebecca, 20 years old.

01:09David Christopher Marshall, a first-generation beekeeper
01:12who despite allergies produces a wide variety of award-winning beekeeping products,
01:17educates others on the importance of bees and promotes positive beekeeping methods.
01:23Then there's Anna Miller.
01:25Anna is very selfless in doing her charity events and helping many local farmers and businesses.
01:31She would never not help someone and deserves to be recognised.
