00:00Because of the illegal trade, three agricultural food importers are blacklisted according to the Department of Agriculture.
00:11According to DA Secretary Francisco Chulaurel Jr.,
00:15they imported products without sanitary and phytosanitary import clearances.
00:23These products include rice, coffee, cashew nuts, onions, and oranges.
00:30This is not the first time that this kind of illegal trade is happening.
00:35It does not only affect the government's income, but it is also dangerous to the public's health.
00:41Aside from the so-called importers, there are five more companies that may be suspended
00:46because of misdeclaration, illegal importation, and anti-competitive trade practices.
00:55According to Bureau of Plant Industry Director Gerald Glenn Panganiban,
00:59these companies are now pending complaints.
01:03As of now, the BPI will not be able to conduct transactions with the so-called companies.
