00:00It is a tax on aspiration, which disproportionately impacts hard-working families already making

00:08But, perhaps most importantly, this policy would damage the significant contribution

00:15that independent schools make to special educational needs and disabilities provision.

00:21The proposed removal of business rates relief would exacerbate the financial challenges

00:26faced by independent schools.

00:28And the loss of these schools will devastate local communities, limit educational choice

00:34and further diminish the capacity for SEND education.
