00:09Murder enquiry launched following death of 50 year old man.
00:13Police in West Lothian have launched a murder enquiry following the death of a man in Livingston.
00:18Gary Nicole from Livingston was found dead on Bankton Lane after police were called to a report of a man with serious injuries at around 2am on September 26th.
00:27Mr Nicole's death is now being treated as murder.
00:30An online portal has been set up to encourage members of the public to submit information directly to detectives.
00:36Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Pleasence from Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team said
00:43It is vital that we get answers for them and we are fully committed to tracing the person responsible as soon as possible.
00:50Our investigation into Mr Nicole's death continues and I would urgently appeal to anyone with information who has not already spoken with us to please do so.
00:59An Edinburgh community which fought against plans to turn their local pub into student flats is facing having more built directly next door.
01:08A controversial bid to bulldoze buildings at Jocks Lodge to make way for 191 student beds attracted over 1,000 objections and was approved on appeal at the end of last year.
01:19Following an initial refusal by councillors.
01:22Although work is yet to begin the development will result in the loss of pubs.
01:26The Willow and Limelight as well as Chennai's Marina Takeaway.
01:30However a new bar and grocery store are planned for ground floor units.
01:34More detailed proposals for the site are set to be exhibited as part of public consultation events in November and December.
01:40Meadowbank invites nominations to add to its Wall of Honour.
01:45The search is on for new names to add to the Wall of Honour at Edinburgh's Meadowbank Sports Centre.
01:50When the new Sports Centre opened in 2022 a space in the atrium of the building was reserved to honour members of the public who made significant contributions to Meadowbank's past and legacy as a sporting venue and community facility.
02:03Over 45 people were honoured in the original Wall of Honour including sporting heroes Chris Hoy, Lindsay Sharp, Alan Wells and Josh Kerr.
02:12Communities, teams and individuals across Edinburgh have 11 weeks to submit nominations for the Wall before the deadline on Friday 20 December.
