In conjunction with World Post Day on Wednesday (Oct 9), Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil launched a set of specially designed commemorative stamps.

He also flagged off Pos Malaysia's latest batch of electric vehicles, highlighting the organisation's commitment to a greener future.

00:00Today is the 150th anniversary of the World Postal Day.
00:13The theme is 150 years to facilitate communication and empower the people of the whole country.
00:22This theme is closely related to Post Malaysia's DNA.
00:30After 200 years, Post Malaysia has created a community with a very broad network
00:39that provides services to 11 million people every day.
00:44On this World Post Day, we have the opportunity to introduce them to the special stamps
00:52that reflect the art and history of Post Malaysia's communication.
00:57These special stamps are not only a collection,
01:01but also a part of Post Malaysia's history and transformation efforts.
01:07The Post system has been a pillar in our lives.
01:11It has developed with the passing of time,
01:13but it has never lost its main purpose of uniting us all.
01:19On this World Post Day,
01:22I am proud and honoured to announce the latest development of the Post Malaysia Electric Vehicle fleet.
01:31This initiative is in line with our national motto
01:34to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable development.
01:38These initiatives reflect Post Malaysia's commitment to the principles of Malaysia Madani,
01:45namely sustainability, innovation, social justice, and respect.
01:52Therefore, on this World Post Day,
01:56we must always remember that the service of the Post system
02:01is more than just a letter and mail delivery system.
02:05The Post system is also an important infrastructure
02:08that supports economic growth,
