00:00A senior Gabungan Party Sarawak leader has warned Sarawak PKR against rocking the boat

00:06in the name of democracy after it announced plans to contest in the next state election.

00:12Abdul Karim Rahman Hamza said he will not object to PKR contesting the election and

00:16holding a roadshow across Sarawak next month ahead of the state polls.

00:21However, the vice president of GPS linchpin party Besakabumi Putra Bersatu said Sarawak

00:27PKR should first ponder if its actions would create disharmony among Sarawakians.

00:33As to whether this development could affect GPS's ties with PH at the federal level,

00:38Karim said this was a question that the top PH leaders should answer.

00:42The state minister maintained that Malaysia was a democracy and that GPS will not bar

00:46its federal allies from contesting in the next Sarawak election.

00:51He said GPS has been doing a good job in governing Sarawak but is ready to allow voters to express

00:56their view by casting their ballot in the event of a challenge by the state PH chapter.

01:02On Sunday, Sarawak PKR Information Chief Tai Wei-Wei said the state chapter would contest

01:07every seat allocated by Sarawak PH during the last state election.
