00:00We are no longer able to carry, to go beyond what we are suffering now.
00:16It's something so uncontrollable that's eating your community up.
00:24So we are fighting, we are suffering from the same problem.
00:27We need to stop putting CO2 into the atmosphere, but once it's already in there, carbon removal
00:40is one of the few tools that directly addresses that cause of suffering.
00:47So carbon dioxide removal is the act of taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and putting
00:53it away at a time scale that is impactful for climate.
00:58We've built a direct recapture facility that actually removes carbon from the air and permanently
01:03sequesters it into concrete.
01:07I go to work every day with 13 canons who are really motivated to solving the greatest
01:12problem of our time.
01:14Human ingenuity is something that I would bet on every single day.
01:19Carbon removal needs to happen.
01:20It's not a question of like, can we do this?
01:22We must do this.
01:25We must find a way.
01:27I'm a big fan of algae.
01:30I think they quite literally will save the world.
01:33We as human beings need to be continuously searching for opportunities to solve this
01:37issue of climate change, to really try and make an impact, and I think we'll succeed.
01:43With the journey we started, it's very ambitious to do it, but we are on track.
01:47How do we bring in industries that use energy and would give the license to develop everything
01:53as quickly as possible?
01:55Sargassum, sequestering it, and using it as the kryptonite for carbon.
02:01There are policies and stakes that are being put in place of like, here's what we want
02:05to see with carbon removals.
02:10Scientists have known that this is possible for a really long time.
02:14One of the ways to pull CO2 out of the atmosphere, which is the weathering of rocks.
02:21So it's a win-win situation for growers.
02:24Biochar had so many different applications.
02:26One big bag, 1.5 tons of CO2.
02:30A nature-based solution to grow microalgae for the purpose of carbon sequestration.
02:36We need to stop just talking about it.
02:39We need to take a real action.
02:42If you want to go really fast, you want to go together.
02:46We better get it right in the first place, because we really don't have a second shot here.
02:55All hands on deck.
