00:25hung below it to form part of the skirt. The hem was trimmed with another thick band of
00:29black lace, and the three-quarter-length sleeves were sheer black material with lace
00:33accents. Together, this was a lot of clutter.
00:36The blush color didn't compliment Hall's bronzed skin, and it wasn't the best companion for
00:40the black, either. It's difficult to imagine the real estate expert combining the pale
00:45and dark hues in one of her remodels. They'd look tacky and muddled on layered curtains,
00:50for instance. Then again, she did tell Better Homes and Gardens,
00:53"...I love mixing colors. I love mixing blacks in natural woods especially."
00:57Sadly, her outfit did not convey to the TCA audience that she's an authority on color
01:02palettes that work.
01:04In July 2023, Hall celebrated her birthday in Cabo with her hubby, Josh Hall, and a large
01:10group of friends. While relaxing at the Chileno Bay Resort, the pair stepped out in coordinating
01:15swimsuits that advertised to everyone that they were a couple. The vibrant tropical design
01:19on Josh's swim trunks and Christina's bikini and sarong was a throwback from the 80s or
01:24early 90s. Perhaps Christina's hallucinogenic toad venom experience is what made her feel
01:29drawn to the busy pattern. The colors had that unnatural psychedelic feel.
01:34It's also possible that Christina had Barbie on the brain when she and Josh picked their
01:38bathing suits out. Their looks were somewhat reminiscent of the neon rollerblading outfits
01:42that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling wear in the Barbie movie, and Christina and Josh had
01:46attended the film's premiere early that month.
01:49One of Christina's Instagram followers even admitted to initially thinking that the couple
01:53was in costume as Barbie and Ken. Another commenter warned Christina that her age was
01:58showing, writing,
01:59"'You know you're 40 when you and bae start matching clothes.'"
02:03In a 2023 video on her Instagram page, Hall tried to convince her followers to fill their
02:08kitchen with products from Cafe Appliances. In the paid promo, she walked around her kitchen
02:13to prove that she actually uses the products herself. But as she stopped to turn on her
02:17gas range, grabbed some ice from her mini-fridge, and placed some bottles of booze inside her
02:22wine fridge, her video at times seemed like an ad for her outfit.
02:26Hall's kitchen was certainly long enough to serve as a runway, and she could have been
02:29talking about her textured, long-sleeved top when she said,
02:32"'My style is matte black.'"
02:34But it was her flared jeans that ultimately snatched attention away from what she was
02:37trying to sell. They featured patch pockets on the front, which are usually only placed
02:42on the back of jeans. It's great that she's trying to bring bell-bottoms back and all,
02:46but the front-butt look was bizarre and distracting.

02:51In May 2024, Hall and Tarek El Moussa had a strange reunion in an Instagram video. Heather
02:57El Moussa also participated in what at first felt like a desperate bid for attention. She
03:02and Christina wore matching jeans and bustiers, prompting Tarek to joke that it can be difficult
03:07to tell the two women apart.
03:09It turned out that the intent of the video wasn't just to assure HGTV fans that Heather
03:15have a healthy relationship, but to promote a new series called The Flip Off. On the show,
03:20Heather and Tarek face off against Christina and Josh Hall to see which couple's renovation
03:25proves the most lucrative. The clone gimmick was a great way to tease the show, but once
03:29Christina and Heather started twinning, it was like they couldn't stop.
03:32In another video, they wore identical white pleated skirts and crop tops during a visit
03:36to a cafe. This time, Tarek pretended to mistake Christina for Heather from behind, which earned
03:42him a slap from his wife. Heather and Christina wore similar black athletic looks in yet another
03:47promo that saw them having a bring-it-on moment in a parking lot. By this time, fans were
03:52getting kind of tired of seeing the two women dressing alike. One Instagram user wrote,

04:01Christina and Josh Hall own a sprawling property in Tennessee, and the Cali-based pair had
04:06once fallen so in love with their home away from home that they planned on residing there
04:10after they retired. Christina told People magazine in 2023,
04:14"...the combination of having privacy and the family values of the people there feels
04:18very different."
04:19"...I think I'm bringing some of my coastal vibe to the country."
04:24However, the mother of three should have made some adjustments to her wardrobe before thinking
04:28about a permanent move to her rustic farm. To use a renovation term, she was pictured
04:32wearing a modern farmhouse ensemble in a series of Instagram photos. The look included a denim
04:38jumpsuit with a wide belt, collar, front zipper, patch pockets, and billowy flared legs. You
04:44could say it was Christina's version of a pair of overalls, but it was not suitable
04:48attire for what she was pictured doing. In a pen with no blade of grass in sight, she
04:52fed carrots to a miniature pony and donkey as her chickens wandered about. The bottom
04:56hems of her jumpsuit's legs were dragging on the ground, so there's no telling what
05:00she brought back inside the house with her.
05:02Yes, looking good for Instagram is important when you're a reality show star, but Christina
05:06could easily look just as stylish in a pair of waterproof rubber boots with her jeans
05:11tucked into them. Surely she's learned from her experience as a renovator that function
05:15is often just as important as appearance.
