00:25book now. Today we have Kindness Makes Me Stronger by Elizabeth Cold. Are you ready?

00:37Let's go. Nick was so happy when summer vacation began. Visiting his grandparents' farm was

00:48little Nick's plan. He greeted each grandparent by giving them a hug. Grandma gently said,

00:55I miss you so much, little bug. After a delicious breakfast, Nick saw a sunny day. He politely

01:06asked his grandpa, may I go out to play? Grandpa nodded and his grandson disappeared from sight.

01:14As soon as Nick left the house, he saw a silly fight. Why are you arguing? Nick asked, surprised

01:24as could be. Duck frowned and said, cow won't share her toys with me. Sheep complained.

01:33Pig took away my favorite ball. He didn't ask me and he didn't thank me at all. Cow

01:42mocked the little duck for having a feather tail. Duck teased cow back by shouting, you're

01:49as huge as a whale. Pig was angry that sheep had pushed her into a puddle. Everyone was

01:56shouting making a big noisy muddle. Please stop arguing, little Nick said. It is rude.

02:05Show kindness even when you're in a bad mood. What is kindness? Duck questioned, scratching

02:12her head. Kindness is when you do something nice, Nicky said. Kindness is when you help

02:18others in need. Being kind is when you do any good deed. Like yesterday, I helped my

02:27sister tie her shoelace. I was so happy and glad to see a smile on her face. We need to

02:34be kind and respect people older than us. The other day, I gave an old man my seat on

02:41the bus. I respect my elders, but also those younger than me. Last week, I helped a little

02:48boy get his ball from a tree. I didn't have to do all of that, but I could choose. So

02:55I was thinking, what if I was in your shoes? Kindness is my choice and something I want

03:01to learn. Kindness is when you give and expect nothing in return.

03:08Kindness is shown when you don't mock people different from you. Take a minute and think,

03:14maybe for them you're different too. The best thing is when you see someone else's smile.

03:22Kindness is pretty cool and it can be your lifestyle.

03:26Quack, Duck wanted to say something by opening her beak. Kindness is also when you wait your

03:33turn while others speak. Don't throw trash on the street or plastic in the sea, and you

03:40will see how beautiful our planet can be. My grandma is the best. She fulfills all my

03:48wishes, so I make her happy by washing her feet.
