15:10I have a charity which I've had for quite a few years,
15:13many almost 20 years now.
15:15We've been helping education projects in Africa,
15:18mainly Kenya, Tanzania,
15:20and some smaller projects in other countries.
15:23It's a great charity, it's called COCO.
15:25And like so many charities during Covid that are smaller,
15:28they really, like, rely on project to project.
15:32Yeah, the main issue, like you said,
15:34is we work in rural areas, which are difficult areas anyway.
15:39We're kind of small, so we're the cracks
15:41in between some of the bigger stuff that goes on,
15:43and often these areas get absolutely nothing.
15:46And education isn't the same as it is here.
15:49It is linked to food, it's linked to sanitation,
15:53it's linked to clean water.
15:54All of those things mean that somebody may go to school
15:57or not go to school.
15:58So you saw that first-hand, and what we try to do
16:00is take people out and raise money by doing some great things,
16:04a trek or a bike ride or whatever it might be,
16:06but then see where that money is being spent.
16:09And we're very, very keen that every penny we raise
16:12is directly spent in the communities,
16:15particularly which you get to see as well.
16:17But it's good, it's very fulfilling,
16:20and hopefully, you know, we've changed quite a few lives.
16:23There is a longer-term issue around, you know,
16:27how we all help places where they're not getting...
16:32..the kids don't get the sort of education
16:34that we would all take for granted here,
16:36for all sorts of reasons.
16:38And some of them are fairly easily put right,
16:41not in the grand scale, but certainly in local areas,
16:44which is what we try and do.

26:29Why is a 99 ice cream called the 99?
26:32Which is a brilliant question.
26:34Well, some people assume that the 99 ice cream
26:36used to cost 99p, which is what I always believed,
26:39but we don't think that is the case.
26:42One really popular theory, and this was, in fact,
26:46also validated by Cadbury's, I have to say,
26:49who, you know, sometimes manufacture the flake
26:52that is put inside, others are available.
26:54But apparently, according to them,
26:56the 99 flake was inspired by Italian royalty.
26:59And it all goes back to Italian soft ice cream makers
27:01who were working in County Durham in the 20s,
27:04and they put the chocolate in,
27:06in order to increase their interest and boost sales.
27:09And their chosen combination proved really popular.
27:12So that much seems to be true, but why 99?
27:15Well, apparently, in the days of the monarchy in Italy,
27:17no king has a specifically chosen guard consisting of 99 men.
27:22And consequently, anything considered to be top-notch or superior
27:26was known as a 99.
27:28So that is the accepted official theory.
27:30So, a regal connection there.
27:32But, as I say, it doesn't end there.

27:36In 1922, a man called Stefano Alcari
27:39opened up an ice cream shop in Scotland.
