00:00My name is Michael Pearce and I'm standing in the beautiful Chathamden Valley between
00:05Hoo and Chathamden. In this field there is an application by Gladman Developments to
00:10build 240 houses. We now know there's an application on the adjacent field next door by Taylor
00:17Wimpey to build 450 houses. It's really important and crucial that local residents turn out
00:24and vote on Thursday the 7th of November and vote yes to the Neighbourhood Plan. This
00:30Neighbourhood Plan will protect beautiful spaces and areas like this. So it's very important
00:35that you turn out and vote. Residents will know that our primary school spaces are filled
00:39up, there's no capacity left. Residents know that they can't get a doctor's appointment.
00:44Residents know that the infrastructure is not there to cope with these developments.
00:49There was an application not so long ago that was refused by Medway Council and it was also
00:54refused by the Planning Inspector and since then nothing has changed. So this needs to
00:59be refused. The community, as a matter of urgency, as a first step, needs to turn out
01:05and vote on Thursday the 7th of November and vote yes to the Neighbourhood Plan. Help
01:10us to help protect our community from these predatory developments. Thank you.
