00:00There's a part of this where you're thinking it's the best test bed for an England manager
00:06to get things right going into qualifications and finals, rather than every game being intense,
00:12intense, intense. And if things fail, like we experienced in the last group of Nations
00:17League, things become dire. And again, it's not just the manager and the players, it's
00:23everyone else like us watching and commenting. Because Lee understands and has been involved
00:28in that development stage. I know it becomes a bit cliched now after Gareth Southgate,
00:32but there is a part which pays true to that, that the players know him, understand it.
00:38He understands what Gareth has set up as legacy. And I think Lee, as an England fan, I hope
00:44can deliver in the World Cup if he's given that opportunity, rather than bringing someone
00:49else in. And it's going to have to be essentially a clean slate because he won't have had the
00:54experience that Lee's already got. So I'm leaning towards him as a viable successor.
