00:00The other game will start tonight, just after 730 East in the Bronx for the Yankees and
00:10the Royals.
00:11Now, I will tell you, Scottie, me and you have said this a lot.
00:14Now Cole has had some decent starts in the playoffs for the Yankees in the past.
00:19Every time they gave him a lead the other night, he gave it right back.
00:23Like Cole, that guy out there, he's just like, here you go, you take it.
00:25I don't, I don't really want the lead.
00:27I thought he was, I don't know if you want to call it, him not playing for a week, him
00:31not pitching for over a week.
00:32Awful.
00:33How does that work for you?
00:34How does awful work for you?
00:36Awful works just fine for me.
00:38Awful was, that's fine then.
00:40I'm willing to go with awful because that's precisely what he was.
00:43But the Yankees still found a way to get it done, 6-5 they beat the Royals on Saturday.
00:49I'll tell you what else they found, Scottie.
00:51That Weaver, that Weaver's good at the end of the game, that Luke Weaver.
00:56Thank God they moved Holmes out of there.
00:58Now that Holmes pitched the other night, which was a problem, he did.
01:03He did a knitting in the 2-3.
01:04Maybe he's a better set-up guy than a closer, but it worked.
01:08He got everybody out.
01:09I think Weaver's been, the Dreamer Weaver's been sensational.
01:13The skinny kid, striking everybody out.
01:16He's been crazy good.
01:17What is he, face 44 guys, struck out 27 of them, that's crazy.
01:21Yes.
01:22I do think that they got the call right with Jazz at second base because everybody in the
01:27Royals screamed and yelled that they got robbed on Saturday night.
01:31All calls that go the Yankees way are correct, as you know.
01:35And it's like the Cane game, it's like the Cane game on Saturday night.
01:39Yeah, that's it.
01:40I mean, they won.
01:41The call's the call.
01:42The refs did a great job in the Canes game.
01:44They should all get free Mai Tais and tequila shots at the bar.
01:50And then I thought the Amps in the Yankee game did a phenomenal job.
01:55I also, Jazz is not hitting.
01:58I mean, the guy, he hasn't had a hit in two months.
02:01But he got on base and he stole second.
02:04And then Verdugo drove him in.
02:06They got two runs on bases loaded walks.
02:10I mean, they had no business winning that baseball game the other night.
02:13And they did win.
02:15And I told you going into it, I go, they'll be the only team that hasn't played in a week
02:19that will win a game this weekend.
02:21And they did.
02:22But I'll tell you this much, the Royals are giving them problems.
02:27So I expect about the same thing tonight.
02:30I think they're an issue for them.
02:33But a game just came back on after 15 minutes being off.
02:36They finally got that fixed.
02:38How embarrassing was that?
02:39But I think the Royals are a problem.
02:42And my guess is that the Yankees need to win tonight.
02:46They really do.
02:47Because I think when they go to Kansas City, they're going to lose.
02:50Look, and Reagans is going for the Royals tonight, which we'll get to in a moment.
02:54I don't love, I think it favors them.
02:57You know me, I'm not a Rodon guy.
02:59And I'm worried about what Rodon's going to give them here in a big spot in the playoffs.
03:04Hopefully he proves me wrong.
03:05Before we get there here.
03:06He's better than Cole.
03:07They figured Cole out now in baseball.
03:10He reminds me of, now people say I'm crazy, but he's starting to remind me of Kershaw.
03:17Where Kershaw's more of an injurer, like, you know, a guy that's had injuries and it's
03:23caught up with him and the injuries are ruining.
03:26He's finished.
03:27Clayton Kershaw's finished, just so you know.
03:29And they're not pitching him at all.
03:30He's finished for the season.
03:31He's done.
03:32But I think Cole isn't injured.
03:35But I think he's starting to be that guy that, honestly, is starting to look like he doesn't
03:41matter anymore.
03:42Like, they figured him out.
03:44He gives up lots of home runs, gives up lots of runs.
03:47He doesn't get guys out.
03:48I mean, just, he doesn't.
03:50Like his stuff used to be so filthy you could even hit him.
03:54Now every guy up hits him.
03:55The eight and nine hitters hit him.
03:58Every guy gets wood on his pitches.
04:01He's starting to go down the other side of the mountain in his career.
04:05His best years were in Houston and Pittsburgh when he was young.
04:09Let's face facts.
04:10He was great with the Pirates.
04:11But he was a postseason darling for the Astros.
04:15And he's been a flop for the Yankees.
