00:00Let's get to Canada where legislation and push for that is increasing on monitoring
00:08and legalizing essentially the advertising and how much of it goes into sports betting.
00:14What is the update there?
00:15Yeah, so there's been quite a few hearings at a committee level in Canada on sports betting
00:20and kind of creating a nationwide framework to limit the scope of ads, where the ads could
00:25be placed.
00:26They want it to be very similar to the tobacco industry, and that's what we've kind of seen
00:31in several states down here in the U.S. as well.
00:35And a lot of the testimonies were, we don't really need this, you know, we're going to
00:40create our own internal codes, the ads aren't that much, you know, it seems like a huge
00:46amount because this is a new industry and it's come in and kind of been a quick blitz.
00:51But needless to say that the committee came back and said, hey, we're going to go clause
00:57by clause, didn't make any changes to the framework as it was, sent it to the Senate
01:01floor.
01:02And that's something I'll be watching carefully when I come back from vacation as well as
01:06what happens at the Senate floor in Canada, because, you know, Canada is a fairly significant
01:12market for some of these operators and, you know, depends on what happens to the ad network
01:16or the ad spends.
01:18But so far, it sounds like the demand has been waning already.
01:21So it could be all for not really.
