00:26But why is the price still not going down in the markets?

00:30For example, the price of chicken is usually P220 to P230 per kilo in Metro Manila families

00:37while it is not even P100 per kilo in Bulacan.

00:42The local production is too high in demand and the importation is also too high.

00:46That's why the supply is too high.

00:48The only problem is that the price of pork and chicken is not always felt in the retail market

00:53below the farm gate.

00:55That's what needs to be improved.

00:59Travelers and traders are being taught that the retail price is too high from the farm gate.

01:07It is expected that if cheaper imported meat will be imported, the retail price in the market will go down.

01:13But according to the Bureau of Animal Industry, 75% of our chicken demand still comes from local production.

01:23That's why the local industry should really take care of it.

01:27But it is said that the price of chicken is still high in the CCU.

02:17According to the monitoring of the Joint Industry of Agriculture or SINAG,

02:221 million metric tons of imported pork is available from local production

02:26and almost half a million kilos of imported pork is expected to arrive.

02:30In Laloma, it is expected that 1,000 to 1,500 pork lechon will be purchased.

02:37It's not expensive.

02:38As long as you sell quality, people will eat and buy.

02:43If it's cheap, you won't like it.
