Illegal development finally to be torn down at Fowlers Stone Wood
The clean up of an illegal development at Fowlers Stone Wood in Vigo has finally started four years after Gravesham council first started enforcement action.

00:00It has been an extremely lengthy process. I appreciate that. It's been going on for two,
00:04three years. The problem behind that was we obviously had to get all the legal information
00:10together. We've had a lot of help from both MEPM and particularly Vico Parish Council
00:16and the residents around the site collecting that information so that we had full details
00:21we could go to court with. We took the land user to court and got a court order requiring the
00:30removal of all the debris, all the site and reinstatement, which he then failed to deal with.
00:36So he then subsequently had to do a prison term, which we fully supported. And again,
00:44it still failed to do anything with the site. So with further legal information, advice and backup
00:49from residents and Vico Parish Council, we've been able to go back to court to seek possession
00:56so that we can then enforce the remedial action on site.
