Brighton and Hove Albion payed tribute to Barry Lloyd with a minute’s applause immediately prior to kick-off after the former Albion manager died last week.
Barry was Albion manager from 1987-1993, overseeing their promotion to the second division in the 1987/88 campaign and leading the club to Wembley for the Division One Play-Off Final in 1991.
An excellent talent spotter, he returned to the club as chief scout in September 2007, a role he fulfilled for a number of seasons until his retirement in June 2021.
