Evangelist Shakeela Fiaz | Mark 6:20 Explained | Annual Thanks Giving Meeting, Sialkot

Annual Thanksgiving Meeting at village Kot Kora, Sialkot.
Video Recorded by: Church at Sialkot

Mark 6:20 (NIV) says:

"For Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him."

This verse reflects the complicated relationship Herod Antipas had with John the Baptist. Although Herod respected John's holiness and moral integrity, he was also perplexed by John's teachings. Despite this confusion, Herod was intrigued and enjoyed listening to John, though ultimately, his fear of John and external pressures led to John's execution. This highlights the tension between respecting righteousness and succumbing to political and personal pressures.
