00:00Next goalkeeper, there's a lot of talk about. And the way we saw the League Asia Champions, Suraj and Krishna Pathak, they did phenomenally well.
00:08But we've seen, it's been an understudy, if we talk about Krishna Vibhata, under you, how happy were you to see them do so good in China.
00:17And now, what is the way forward? Because you'll be taking the role of a mentor as well for this HIL team.
00:24See, Pathak and Suraj are great talent goalkeepers. So now, they are getting enough opportunity. They are competing with each other. They are doing a wonderful job for our team. That's a wonderful sign.
00:34And when it comes to Asia Champions Trophy, I think being a goalkeeper or being part of the team before, I feel like, okay, this time we did a wonderful job.
00:44But this is not the challenge. Because in Asia, we are a dominating team. I want them to perform really well against the European teams.
00:50And that is where we are going to win tournaments like World Cup or Olympic Games. So, they are capable to do that. They are good enough. Pathak experienced enough.
00:58Last 5-6 years, he was with me. And Suraj also were part of the national score group. So, they are both talented, experienced goalkeepers. I believe that they are going to do wonders for our country.
01:11Talking about HIL, it's coming after a gap of 7 years. What different are you expecting this time around? And also, I was speaking to Mr. Dilip Tirkey. He said, the league culture was set up by Premier Hockey League. It was the flag-bearer of the league culture. How do you react to that?
01:28Actually, sport is changing every year. And after 7 years, everything is going to change a lot. I mean, the speed of the game is going to change. The organization is going to be changed. Now, we have got new hockey stadiums where we can accommodate more than 25,000 people.
01:42The interest of hockey has changed a lot after back-to-back two bronze medals. I think, the scenario has totally changed. And this is going to benefit the game a lot. And HIL is a great platform for the youngsters who come up and perform or showcase their performance.
01:58My last question. The game has always been associated with strikers. They are the faces. But in the last 5 years, if you can talk about, you were the face of the Indian hockey. But that didn't happen overnight. How much of a preparation went into the game? And what would be your message to the upcoming pool of talents?
02:17No, you just need to play your game in the best way. That's the only way to get into the limelight. Otherwise, you can't. For a goalkeeper, it's quite difficult because you are hiding your face behind the mask. But I believe that if you perform now, you do have the platform. You do have social media. You do have medias. And everyone is behind it. Closingly watching you. So, you just need to perform well at the right time. That's the only way for you to come out. Or you need to establish yourself in front of the people.
02:44Thank you so much. And we hope that the new role, you hit it out of the park.
