00:00So we have no idea when we're going to sleep tonight, you guys, so as much as we can, at
00:08least $45, so then we can get a room.
00:11There will be times where I come home from school and my mom will be so doped out.
00:15She will be sleeping on the couch and I'd be banging on the door and she would not wake
00:18up.
00:19My father is locked up.
00:22Last time I heard, my mother was locked up.
00:24I haven't heard from her since I was a kid.
00:28Growing up with my mom, she was a drug addict and drank a lot.
00:33She would abuse me, my brother, and sisters.
00:37We can't even get in a foster home if we want to because nobody wants us because we're grown.
00:41I really want to cry right now.
00:42It's a bad feeling, you know, like just to be, feel worthless like that.
00:45We have to be responsible for our kids.
00:48They are trouble.
00:50They do have challenges.
00:52They're more scared than they are harmful.
00:56I have a 21-year-old young man that is homeless and needs a place to live.
01:00I wanted to know if you had any THP funds.
01:01I want this alcohol.
01:02Listen to me.
01:06I feel kind of obligated to be an example for other people in my situation who actually
01:12believe the statistic is the way of life.
01:16A high percentage of foster youth don't make it anywhere in life.
01:21You don't live through what some of us live through and just get over it.
01:27We didn't ask to be put in foster care.
01:30We didn't ask to even live this type of life necessarily.
01:35Care for them.
01:36Care where they are every day.
01:38Care what happens to them.
01:39Care how they're served.
01:41Care how they're managing because they have lost their parents.
