00:00I do believe I was assimilated. I didn't even really realise I was black. I'm the grey fella
00:20and I got that from mixing black and white together.
00:24As long as we possibly can, we ought to aim at having a homogeneous population.
00:29Part of the idea was to get the fairy kids into the community, blend us in, then when
00:40we hitch up obviously with a Wadjala fella and a white fella, we're breeding out the
00:46black fella in us.
00:49I love being Aboriginal. I love it. But then to be one foot in both sides.
00:58You're spending every day feeling like you have to justify that you're a good person.
01:04The more that it got harder for their black kids, the more they dug in for us.
01:12Thank you for loving me.
01:19The grey line just seemed to sum up who I am and all the other kids like me.
