00:05The most innocent in the plunder of Sandigan Bayan, former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile,

00:11and his former Chief of Staff, Gigi Reyes, and Janet Napoles.

00:16This is the result of the pork barrel scam, or money laundering in pecking NGOs to get a kickback.

00:23Despite the success of the plunder, there are still three cases that need to be solved.

00:28Maki Pulido has the story.

00:33Ten years after the pork barrel scam broke out,

00:36the PDAF, or Priority Development Assistance Fund,

00:41was used by young people in Janet Napoles' pecking NGO to get a kickback.

00:45The former Senator and now Presidential Legal Counsel, Juan Ponce Enrile, were acquitted in the plunder case.

00:52This is just one of the cases of the scam.

00:54His former Chief of Staff, Gigi Reyes, and Janet Napoles were also acquitted in the plunder case.

01:00According to Sandigan Bayan, it was not proven beyond reasonable doubt

01:04that Enrile and Reyes received a kickback and a commission for the scam,

01:08which according to the allegation amounted to P172 million pesos.

01:12No witnesses said that they received or transferred money to Enrile.

01:18There is also no sufficient evidence in the required criminal cases

01:22to say that there is no doubt that Reyes received more than P46 million pesos as a kickback.

01:30According to the court, even though the pecking NGO, Napoles, has a solid foundation,

01:35the prosecution's evidence is not enough to prove that Napoles gave a kickback or commission to Enrile or Reyes.

02:10Reyes should also be charged with five counts of bribery and Napoles with five counts of corruption of public officials.

02:23Reyes handed over to Enrile's lawyer, Atty. Estelito Mendoza.

02:37I knew all along that I will be acquitted because I have not done anything.

02:45And I hope that the people who filed those cases against us will examine their conscience.

02:55We are vindicated. It was a long road.
