00:00Don't do this when you're doing your barbell squats.
00:05So first thing you want to do, make sure you have a good height for the barbell.
00:09Should be at just about shoulder height.
00:10Grab it, place your feet under the bar.
00:13Your feet should be at just about shoulder width, maybe a little bit wider.
00:16So you step into it, get a good grip, which is past shoulder width, and then get into
00:21it.
00:22The bar should be resting on your upper back lower trap area.
00:26Unrack the bar, take a step back with each foot, get into position.
00:31Your feet should be pointed out just a little bit, slightly, and what you're doing is trying
00:36to keep your chest up during the whole movement.
00:38So keep your core tight, chest is up, and then you go down, booty sticking out, ass
00:45to grass, right here is good, and you're driving up with your chest up.
00:56You want to try to keep your hips open when you're doing the barbell squat, so try to
01:02point your knees outward almost.
