President, first lady bring 'LAB' to Pasig City

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos bring the 'Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat' or 'LAB For ALL' caravan in Pasig City on Oct. 3, 2024. In his speech, Marcos said the project bridged the gap in the healthcare system in the Philippines, especially in the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, or those in far-flung areas. A brainchild of the first lady, the LAB for ALL caravan is a flagship outreach program that offers an array of health services such as free consultation, free medicines and basic laboratory tests done in the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics. The caravan has visited 35 locations across the country since it started in May 2023. The President thanked his wife for her dedication to helping the public even without fanfare.

00:00Finally, I was able to join the Love for All of my first lady.
00:10I will explain.
00:12I only heard from the reports about the beautiful project of my house.
00:20Now, I am a witness to the service it is delivering.
00:24According to the Department of Health, we have more than 7,000 geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
00:34We call them GIDA.
00:37These are barangays or towns that are difficult to reach because they are far away.
00:42They are in the mountains, on the islands, without roads.
00:45They should be connected by roads and bridges.
00:50That is why projects like this Love for All is a great help for our countrymen.
00:58Its purpose is to deliver reliable medical services for everyone,
01:05especially for those in need, such as our senior citizens.
01:10There are PWDs, doctors, and those who are in need.
01:16From the start of this project in May last year,
01:21it has reached 35 locations from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
01:29We have assured that many more communities in each city and province will be visited by Love for All.
01:39For those Filipinos who are in need,
01:42we will do our best for your government to provide this service.
01:48We are also distributing mobile primary care facilities with the help of local governments.
01:56Our goal is to provide all provinces and cities in Metro Manila with mobile PCFs.
02:03Even so, we will be able to do more if we work together.
02:09That is why I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our friends and colleagues from the private sector,
02:18such as the Metro Bank Foundation and the Toyota Foundation.
02:22Thank you very much for your help.
02:25They were the ones who distributed and donated three mobile vans with complete facilities,
02:33including a top-of-the-line x-ray and ultrasound machine,
02:37portable urine analyzer, glucose and cholesterol monitor,
02:41and many other medical supplies that we will distribute to the local governments of Pasig, Tacloban, Santa Calina, and Ilocos Sur.
02:57That is why I urge all of you to take care of yourselves.
03:03Let us take advantage of projects like this and the services provided by health centers
03:09so that we can maintain our health.
03:12Let us remember that the strongest asset is not our pocket money,
03:19but the strength of our bodies, the vitality of our thoughts, and the health of our hearts.
03:28Before we conclude, I would like to reiterate that we need to thank our First Lady for what she did.
