00:02:24what's that noise? I don't know. can't make it out.
00:02:43good heavens. looks like shooting stars. oh fuck off.
00:02:53they're coming down in our field. look out!
00:03:13is dr. Temple in this wing? yes sir. the door at the top of the stairs. thank you.
00:03:43good morning. hello lady. finished with last night's figures yet master? yes I have. but
00:04:03I'm just waiting for our silent partner here to translate them into everyday language.
00:04:09morning Alan. I've been in several minutes you haven't said a word. oh hello Kurt. sorry I was
00:04:17just getting these up to date. morning Lee. there you are. you ought to be able to understand that.
00:04:27unusual. quiet night. good. dr. Temple? yes. I'm Richard Arden, Ministry of Space Research. how do
00:04:43you do? these are my assistants Lee Mason, Alan Mullane, the other part of the team. how do you
00:04:49do? I've come to get your opinion on last night's fall and any data you may have on it. fall? what
00:04:54fall? nine meteors in Cornwall. we weren't ranging that area at all last night. what happened down
00:05:02there? we don't really know. the reports we received were rather strange. so strange we've
00:05:07decided to have a team of scientists fly down there and take a look. we'd like you to head it.
00:05:11why me? you're the expert on the subject. meteors? what does a fall of meteorites have to do with me?
00:05:19I am only interested in the possibility of life on other planets. you have written three books and
00:05:25you also head our research section on the subject of extraterrestrial life. yeah. that is precisely
00:05:30why we need you dr. Temple. how soon can you be ready to go? no. I forbid you to go. doctor look
00:05:41you nearly died in that car crash. you and your vintage cars. we had to replace part of your
00:05:49skull with a silver plate. you've not nearly recovered. we still have to keep you under
00:05:53observation. miss Mason, Mullane, this is dr. Rogers physics, Maitland petrography. they'll be
00:05:58traveling down with us. we shall meet Keller, McCabe and Peterson at the farm. they'll be
00:06:01covering chemistry, biology and geology. and the police have the site under guard at the moment.
00:06:06Temple, let me introduce you to some of your team. this is Maitland. I'm afraid you'll have to count me out.
00:06:10what do you mean? you'll have to take my assistant. but why? doctor's orders. I shall speak to the
00:06:20minister. I shall have your doctor overruled. it won't do you any good. miss Mason has been with
00:06:26me for several years now. I'm sure she can help you as much as I could. right. how soon can you be
00:06:37ready to go? an hour. I'll have a car at your flat. Temple, I'm sorry you can't be with us. we'll let
00:06:44you have copies of all reports and photographs. you won't miss a single clue. clue to what? what
00:06:50makes you think these meteors are so important that you'd need a team like this to investigate?
00:06:53have you ever known meteors to land in formation? no. these did. in a perfect V. that's why we're so anxious to find
00:07:09out what these objects from space really are. I've told you before it's impossible. but I am
00:07:17recovering aren't I? that is not the point. well suppose I take it easy, just do a normal day's
00:07:23work. I still wouldn't let you go. look doctor, for several years now my chief interest has been the
00:07:30study of possible life on other planets. now something has occurred which would normally be
00:07:34considered a natural phenomenon. a fall of meteors. but this time with a difference. a difference which
00:07:40indicates that they may have been guided here by creatures. intelligent creatures. that's why it's
00:07:46imperative I investigate. someone else will have to investigate and that's final.
00:08:16I asked Arden to stop here so that I could see you before we left. I'm glad you did. Kurt I know how
00:08:27you must feel about not being able to come with us. it just boils down to the simple fact I'll
00:08:32miss you. you know if Arden's right and there is something strange to be sorted out down there
00:08:36we're going to need you. listen I'm jealous as hell. why? now these ministry boys might realize
00:08:44that you're the brains behind this outfit. be serious. anyway if you need me I'll be here
00:08:49doctor's orders. they're waiting for me. I'll phone you every night to let you know what's happening.
00:09:15we'll have a row of portable huts up here before nightfall. be workshops,
00:09:22kitchens, dormitories. you'll have everything you need I'm sure. how soon do you want to start
00:09:30digging them out? well not for a few days yet. I want to extract as much information as we can
00:09:34from the impact craters and surrounding soil first. we'll have to take soil samples at varying depths.
00:09:39search the fragments and analyze them chemically. try to determine from which direction they came
00:09:43and their possible velocity at the moment of impact. search the fragments for traces of alien
00:09:48microorganisms. so you see it's quite a job. in the meantime we'll send all the information we
00:09:53get to dr. Temple. see what he can make of it. Curtis. yeah? just a moment.
00:10:08take a look at this.
00:10:13are you sure? I checked it a dozen times. this is impossible. well they gave us the
00:10:21velocity of the meteorites and the angle of descent and the point of entry. now I've
00:10:25backtracked to see if we can establish what part of space they came from. and that's the answer.
00:10:30the moon. get me miss Mason in Cornwall.
00:10:39radiation's down to normal now.
00:10:53the surface isn't normal though. well there's only one way to find out whether or not it's
00:11:07a coding. I'll chip off a fragment.
00:11:09there is a brief moment of struggle before the connection is made.
00:11:39but it passes almost immediately. control of musculature and vocal chords awkward but
00:11:46adequate. you may all choose your subjects and connect.
00:12:09the brain of these primitives seems quite suitable for our purposes. we have made the
00:12:15most excellent choice. connections completed and quite satisfactory. we can now proceed
00:12:23with the next part of our plan.
00:12:411 million pounds.
00:12:54delighted to meet you miss Mason. please be seated. now what can I do for you? I'm heading
00:13:02the team of scientists on the meteor project at the Roberts farm. yes you people have created
00:13:07quite a stir. hiring all the workers you could get for miles of rock. we'd like a loan from
00:13:11your bank. haven't you all the money you need for what you're doing? surely the state research
00:13:17alone. how much? 1 million pounds. what possible security could you offer? we have security.
00:13:28this. but what sort of security is this? take another look.
00:13:47connection completed. everything here is now ours.
00:14:10turn the car round.
00:14:17look I've been trying to get through to miss Mason in Cornwall for the last 24 hours.
00:14:20I'll keep trying. lines can't still be. Lee hasn't even sent us any data since the first batch.
00:14:33dr. Temple. oh Arden. I've been trying to get through to Lee but they tell me something's
00:14:43wrong with the lines. I've come to take you and your assistant down to the site. you see I've
00:14:49spoken to your doctor. he's given permission for you to go. some urgent problems have come up.
00:14:55problems which should interest you immensely and there's no need for you to bring anything.
00:14:58not even a change of clothes. we're equipped with everything you're likely to need. all right I guess
00:15:06so.
00:15:36not this one. dr. Temple I'm afraid we've made the most stupid mistake. we can't take you.
00:15:48Arden what's happening around here? get out.
00:16:06hello Lee. Blake here. could you come over to my office for a few minutes? it's important.
00:16:22I'll be right there.
00:16:36I've only got a minute Blake. what is it? oh I can't understand what's going on down to that
00:16:44farm. what do you mean? well look at all these requisitions. lumber, cement, steel,
00:16:48electrical equipment, heavy duty cable. to examine meteorites? oh that's not all.
00:16:54professor McCabe's wife called me this morning. she tried to cash a small check on their joint
00:16:59account and discovered that McCabe had closed out the account to the last penny. I checked on the
00:17:03accounts of the other scientists on the meteor project. they'd all done the same. Lee Mason too.
00:17:08excuse me mr. Blake these just came in. more requisitions. invoices to follow. shotguns,
00:17:17pistols, explosives. each order signed by Lee Mason. I'm going down there. what about your
00:17:26doctor? tell him I got better.
00:17:42excuse me can you tell me how to get to the Roberts farm? yeah sure. the Roberts farm?
00:17:51yeah it's a couple of miles further on down the road. thank you. what do you want to go there for?
00:17:58well I'm a scientist. some of my colleagues are working there. well if you get bored with your
00:18:06work you could always stop by and have a chat. I might even make you a cup of tea. with sugar.
00:18:16I'll think about it.
00:18:17is this the Roberts farm?
00:18:42I said is this the Roberts farm?
00:19:12is this the Roberts farm? what do you want? my name is Curtis Temple. I'd like to see miss Lee
00:19:22Mason. my orders are she's not to be disturbed. now go. look I'm not leaving here until I've
00:19:30seen miss Mason. this is the only entrance and I'm not letting you past. the fence is electrified.
00:19:42what are you doing? now I would advise you to step back because when I put this thing
00:20:00into gear and it smashes through that fence you're liable to find yourself hurt or electrocuted.
00:20:06wait I'll call her.
00:20:37she's coming straight down.
00:20:54Lee. why are you creating a disturbance interrupting our work? the doctor told you
00:20:59not to come here. I wanted to find out what was happening. I also happen to be in love with you.
00:21:04sentiment? I will not have sentiment interfering with our vital work. what's the matter with you?
00:21:10what is this work? can't you tell me what you're doing? I might be able to understand to help you.
00:21:18you can help us Kurt. you can help us more than you know by quietly going away. careful the fence
00:21:23is live. don't come here again or try to contact any of us. you can only keep us from our work.
00:21:29when the right time comes you'll understand. goodbye Kurt. Lee. if this man comes here again
00:21:40or tries to get in you know what to do.
00:21:58pardon our adjustment. dr. Temple. this is Mason Wall. may I make an interview down here?
00:22:28I would like to know what's going on down here. I'm afraid I can't tell you. Arden look I'm
00:22:34involved in this as much as you are. I don't think so. you see you're no longer one of us.
00:23:28Lee I've got to talk to you.
00:24:28how did I get here? I found you in the road unconscious. I've towed your car in for you.
00:24:43how long have I been here? about an hour. what road did you find me on? one that goes to town.
00:24:54what are you doing out there? which way is the town? it's that way. thanks. thanks for everything.
00:25:08it was a pleasure.
00:25:24mind giving me a lift to town? who are you?
00:25:54what are you doing out here? waiting for you. you are Curtis Temple aren't you? how did you know?
00:26:04still well. internal security. now I suggest we find a less conspicuous place to park and see if
00:26:12we can trade some information about what's going on back there. nice little jalopy you have here.
00:26:25so I was assigned to watch the team of scientists that came down here. they seemed all right until
00:26:32they tried to crack open that meteorite. after that they started acting strangely. requisitioned
00:26:37all kinds of material and got all that local labor they could. began to bring down other scientists
00:26:42from all over the country. there's been construction work going on 24 hours a day ever since. so far
00:26:47I've not seen any sign of it. you suppose they're up to? I think I know but I'll have to speak to
00:26:54my superior before I can bring you into it.
00:27:24Temple!
00:27:54Stillwell! Stillwell! what's wrong? what happened in there? Stillwell what happened? tell me!
00:28:06let me through I'm a doctor. let me through. Stillwell! what happened in there? get back.
00:28:13what is it? whatever it is he's beyond help now. when did this happen? just a minute ago.
00:28:26I've never encountered anything like this before. I'll have to consult the local health authorities
00:29:04I'm speaking to you from the center of the town
00:29:34that was struck by plague. the streets are deserted. the inhabitants behind their doors.
00:29:39the country's leading medical authorities and a team of courageous nurses have been
00:29:44rushed here. as yet there's no clue to the mystery malady. the bodies of the victims have shown no
00:29:54unfamiliar virus or bacteria. no trace of any organic malfunction to explain the seizures.
00:29:59only the strange spots of blood which appear on the bodies of those who will soon be dead
00:30:04and which have given the visitation its name the crimson plague. teams of researchers digging into
00:30:12the vast treasury of medical experience have found no record of any case even remotely similar
00:30:17anywhere in the world. earlier we interviewed dr. Frederick Andrews a member of the research team.
00:30:24we have one more fact. unless we can find some place where the victims of the plague can be
00:30:31isolated beyond all possibility of even remote contact with the living the contagion may easily
00:30:39spread over the entire country and perhaps the entire world.
00:30:53dr. Temple. yeah who are you? my name's Williams internal security. Stilwell phoned me about you
00:31:11just before he died. oh yes he wanted to ask you if he could tell me what was happening at the
00:31:16Roberts farm. at that time I told him he could. now I've changed my mind. it'll be a breach of
00:31:22security. then why did you come all the way down here? to tell you to leave Temple go back to your
00:31:26telescope and leave the meteor site to us. look Williams I think the secret of this scarlet plague
00:31:33is right there in the meteor site inside the farm and I believe it's your job to tell me. don't tell
00:31:38me my job. part of it is to keep people who don't understand what's happening from meddling. just
00:31:43what is happening? that I cannot and will not tell you. I can only say that whatever ideas you may
00:31:49have are sure to be wrong. what is happening on that site far from destroying the human race may
00:31:53very well save it. what about the plague? that's all I can say except to warn you that for your
00:32:00own safety and perhaps the safety of the whole world to stay away from that farm. you've already
00:32:05been attacked by miss Mason. you were lucky you survived. how did you know about that? next time
00:32:09it may be more serious and we can't protect you we can only warn you. I advise you to heed that
00:32:14warning doctor.
00:32:44can I help you sir? yeah fill her up.
00:33:09you're new around here aren't you? no I've been here for years. what happened to the girl who
00:33:19worked here? girl? there's never been any girl here. yes but when I was here before there was.
00:33:23this is the only road to Robert's farm and it's closed. now turn around and go back the road you
00:33:34came. not until I found that girl. get out. Temple there was no girl. there was no Stilwell.
00:33:46I just didn't exist. get out before you don't exist.
00:34:04go back. we've orders to fire dr. Temple.
00:36:34the plague continues to spread. we have not yet identified it but some progress has been made.
00:37:03a means has been found of disposing of the bodies of the victims to prevent their contact
00:37:08with those who remain and have not been affected by it. the means must be kept
00:37:14secret for the moment but there is now hope.
00:40:02all sectors switch to emergency power.
00:41:32come out. you are an intruder. all intruders must be taken prisoner. come with me.
00:43:32you look down that tunnel. and you follow down that one.
00:43:49Stilwell.
00:45:19I warned you not to come here. now you'll have to take the consequences.
00:45:48you won't elude us again. get him out of there will you.
00:47:48hello dr. Temple. I've come to tell you why you're here. you've attempted several times
00:48:17to interrupt work of vital importance. you've caused great damage. some of it not
00:48:21yet repaired. however when our work is completed you'll be free to leave. in the
00:48:25meantime if you're quiet and orderly you'll be brought your meals on time and
00:48:28perhaps even a few books to read. why are you taking this trouble with me? why not
00:48:35just kill me? that is not our way unless you force us to. Arden. what's going on
00:48:43here? I saw the plague bodies piled up. don't they constitute a risk of
00:48:48contamination to you and to Lee? Lee is quite well and in no danger. she in fact
00:48:55all of us are far too vital to the project to be permitted any risk. now I
00:48:58must return to my work. wait a minute. what is this work? last night I saw a
00:49:05rocket take off. there's another one out there now on the launching pad. how can
00:49:11you possibly build a second one so quickly? it is the same one. you're
00:49:15unconscious for 48 hours. it returned the following night. but the one I saw was
00:49:20going to the moon. I knew you'd calculated that. yes it went to the moon
00:49:25and returned. but that's impossible. no propulsion system on earth could
00:49:32possibly send a rocket to the moon and back within 24 hours. the system we
00:49:35employ was not created on earth. why these trips to the moon? it's the only
00:49:42place where bodies of plague victims can be buried without contaminating all
00:49:45humanity. that is the work we're doing here. what protects you and the others
00:49:50here from contamination? the meteorites brought the plague from outer space. we
00:49:56have found an immunizing agent but it would take months to produce it in
00:49:59quantity. we have enough for those of us here and no more. our only hope is to
00:50:05bury the bodies where they cannot infect the rest of mankind. that is what
00:50:10we're doing here every day. I don't believe any of this. you can believe what
00:50:18you please but don't try to interfere with us again or you will be destroyed.
00:51:36how's Temple? he's conscious now. safely locked away. we can't allow him to stay
00:51:44here. he's clever. you'll try to find a means of escape. from what dr. Rogers
00:51:48tells me our work here is almost completed. in a few days we'll be
00:51:51finished. Temple must not be allowed to interfere. what do you suggest? you have
00:51:56your gun set it at maximum power and when you fire aim directly at his heart.
00:52:05oh
00:52:25Temple
00:52:35someday you may thank me for that.
00:53:05I warned you not to come here. leave.
00:53:35I'm quite aware that you're there Curtis. I've got my pistol trained on you I
00:53:57won't hesitate to shoot. you have seen too much. you cannot be alive to tell.
00:54:27there he is.
00:55:27hey stop. look out. he's coming straight for us.
00:55:57you fool. what have you done? untie me and take me back to the farm. not until I
00:56:18found out exactly who you are and how you can be destroyed. I'm not talking to
00:56:22Lee Mason now. I'm talking to you. the thing that's taken over her mind. I know
00:56:26you're there. you're insane. nobody'll believe you. I love Lee Mason but I will
00:56:31destroy the shell of her body rather than leave it in slavery to you. think
00:56:34that over before you force her to call for help or do anything else that might
00:56:37draw attention to us. where are you taking me? to the home of a friend. the
00:56:43only man I know who might possibly believe me. now get down. get down.
00:56:56get down.
00:57:26you saw one of the victims of the plagues alive. mm-hmm still no. as plain
00:57:32as I'm seeing you. all the world's sending victims of the plague to the
00:57:37meteor site. you say the scientists keep them there in cold storage and then send
00:57:42them to the moon. why? that creature out there in Lee's head knows the answer.
00:57:48maybe these victims of the plague aren't really dead. a woman in the town near the
00:57:54meteor site claimed she saw her husband working there. he'd been a victim of the
00:57:57plague. she was sent to an insane asylum. yes but I'm not mad. you know Farge if we
00:58:05could only duplicate the equipment I saw in that laboratory we could demonstrate
00:58:09the existence of these creatures and alert the world to what they're doing.
00:58:13do you think the answer is something to do with electronic optics? no. that's why
00:58:17I came to see you. but what's to prevent us from being taken over as she is? well
00:58:22in your case nothing. that's why you mustn't get near Lee. until we've tried
00:58:28something. tried what? I think I figured out why they can't get at me. we'll use
00:58:34the same protection on you. do you have any silver in the house?
00:58:38well only knives and forks. what about these? oh no no. where do we melt them
00:58:45down? not my trophies!
00:59:45you'd better lock her up. what for? I think you're on the right track.
01:00:15ah
01:00:45Kurt!
01:00:49Oh, Kurt!
01:00:53It's all right, darling.
01:01:03Ish!
01:01:06Oh, be brave.
01:01:14It's all right, darling. It's all right now. Everything's fine.
01:01:19Cosmic rays. Concentrated. That's what makes these work.
01:01:23But they'll only stun human beings.
01:01:25The length of time, depending on the degree of concentration we adjust them to.
01:01:28But they can destroy those creatures.
01:01:31We tested them carefully before trying it on you.
01:01:34Tested them on whom?
01:01:36First on animals. It didn't do them any harm.
01:01:39And then?
01:01:45We can detect them with these, if you're interested.
01:01:49And destroy them with these.
01:01:51Yes, but what are they?
01:01:53We thought you'd be able to tell us.
01:01:55I can't remember a thing.
01:01:57I know I did work for them, but at what?
01:02:01Why?
01:02:02What about the plague? Do you know what it is?
01:02:04What do they do with the bodies?
01:02:06Lee, about these rockets.
01:02:08How can they possibly get to the moon and back in 24 hours?
01:02:10And why the moon?
01:02:12I don't know.
01:02:14Well, we've got to find out.
01:02:16That's why we're going back there.
01:02:18Only this time armed and protected.
01:02:24We'll set these guns at three.
01:02:26That should knock out anyone it hits for at least a few hours.
01:02:29And what do you intend to do when we get there?
01:02:31First find our scientists.
01:02:33And free them from these things that have taken over their minds.
01:02:35And then?
01:02:37I don't know. We'll just have to play along.
01:02:39You said you'd crashed the barrier.
01:02:41They must have mended it by now.
01:02:43How will we get in?
01:02:45I think that's where you come in.
01:02:49Open the gate. I'm coming in.
01:03:05That went off all right.
01:03:07Drive up to the house as close as you can.
01:03:11Close the gate.
01:03:17They're closing the gate.
01:03:19It's Alan.
01:03:21It's the creatures taking over his body.
01:03:37They suspect something.
01:03:39I'll go over and talk to them.
01:03:51You can't come in.
01:03:53You know who I am.
01:03:55My orders are let nobody in.
01:04:07Stay here.
01:04:37Lee!
01:04:43Lee, Farge!
01:04:45Don't forget these.
01:04:59Come on.
01:05:01Farge, hurry up.
01:05:07Put on your helmets.
01:05:09You're ready to run.
01:05:29Here you are, gentlemen.
01:05:31It's time we were off.
01:05:37I think that's the way to the rocket launching site.
01:05:49We seem to be ready for take-off.
01:06:07Rocket take-off imminent.
01:06:09Rocket take-off imminent.
01:06:13Clear the launching area.
01:06:15Repeat, clear the launching area.
01:06:23Quick!
01:06:25Insert the rocket before they close the hatch.
01:06:29Hurry!
01:06:33Farge.
01:06:37This must be the last phase of their plan.
01:06:41We've got to keep them from taking off.
01:06:47Stay here.
01:07:07Get down.
01:07:19Get down, quick!
01:07:37Get down!
01:07:59We've gone into hyperdrive.
01:08:01You mean we're on our way to the moon?
01:08:03Come on, Farge.
01:08:05Come on.
01:08:17Doctor Temple, come up.
01:08:23Welcome aboard.
01:08:25Miss Mason, nice to have you back.
01:08:27And a new recruit.
01:08:29What a pleasant surprise.
01:08:31It was regrettable you ever left us.
01:08:33You didn't expect me to wait to be killed.
01:08:35We had no intention of killing you.
01:08:37We'd come to a different decision entirely.
01:08:39Now we can implement it.
01:08:43This ship runs automatically.
01:08:45We will land on the moon in exactly three hours.
01:08:47Nothing you can do can change that.
01:08:49And when we land,
01:08:51you will be taken to the Master.
01:08:55What Master?
01:08:57The Master of the Moon.
01:08:59Our great leader whose intelligence
01:09:01has dictated this whole project.
01:09:03He himself will be able to watch the removal
01:09:05of that annoying plate
01:09:07and the occupation of your brain.
01:09:09There's knowledge there that we need.
01:09:11It's been too long withheld.
01:09:13Please relax.
01:09:15Enjoy your remarkable privilege.
01:09:17A free trip to the moon.
01:09:31These are three scientists from Earth
01:09:33who found their way onto our rocket.
01:09:35The girl was formerly one of us.
01:09:37One of the others is the man whose mind
01:09:39we could not control.
01:09:41We will control it.
01:09:43We have need of it.
01:09:45I'll destroy myself first.
01:09:47Silence.
01:09:49I'll destroy myself first.
01:09:51Silence.
01:09:53I'll destroy myself first.
01:09:55Silence.
01:09:57I'll destroy myself first.
01:09:59I'll destroy myself first.
01:10:01Silence.
01:10:03Slaves do not speak without permission
01:10:05in the presence of the Master of the Moon.
01:10:13Believe me,
01:10:15I am not your slave.
01:10:17If you should conquer and rule the Earth,
01:10:19there will always be some who will fight against you.
01:10:21Conquer and rule Earth?
01:10:23Why should we want to do that?
01:10:25What possible satisfaction
01:10:27or glory could we find
01:10:29in ruling a race
01:10:31whose most intelligent life force
01:10:33is little more than primitive
01:10:35savages compared with our
01:10:37vast knowledge?
01:10:43We come from a world
01:10:45called Xan.
01:10:47A planet in a system
01:10:49of a faint star
01:10:51you call Leporis.
01:10:53We Xans
01:10:55are the ultimate evolutionary forms
01:10:57of the highest life order
01:10:59in the cosmos.
01:11:01Once,
01:11:03a million generations ago,
01:11:05we too
01:11:07had physical bodies.
01:11:09But as ages passed,
01:11:11we became bodiless intelligences,
01:11:13pure mental energy.
01:11:15Too late,
01:11:17we realized our doom.
01:11:19Mental energy
01:11:21alone could not survive.
01:11:25In a few generations,
01:11:27we, the highest life form
01:11:29in the cosmos,
01:11:31would cease to exist.
01:11:33The lower creatures on our planet
01:11:35built a spaceship
01:11:37and we went forth to search
01:11:39for the salvation of our race.
01:11:41The ship crashed
01:11:43on this moon of your Earth.
01:11:45Some of us came to Earth
01:11:47in meteorites. We commandeered the brains
01:11:49of your most intelligent
01:11:51scientists who constructed
01:11:53the ship which brought you here.
01:11:57What was the purpose of the plague?
01:11:59We needed workers,
01:12:01many of them. We could make people
01:12:03appear to die,
01:12:05bring them here, and revive them
01:12:07to work for us.
01:12:09Your own government sent the bodies of plague
01:12:11victims to the site
01:12:13for your scientists
01:12:15to dispose of on the moon.
01:12:17When the work is
01:12:19ended, they will be returned
01:12:21unharmed.
01:12:23What work are you talking about?
01:12:25To rebuild our ship
01:12:27and create a launching site for it.
01:12:29We have traveled
01:12:31too many light years
01:12:33in search of an answer to our survival.
01:12:35We have not
01:12:37found it.
01:12:39We have grown old
01:12:41and weak.
01:12:43We wish to die on our
01:12:45own planet.
01:12:47We do not wish to harm
01:12:49anyone.
01:13:11Take Dr. Temple to the operating room.
01:13:19Take Dr. Temple to the operating room.
01:13:50This body and brain,
01:13:52these hands,
01:13:54were the property of a skilled surgeon.
01:13:56They will have no difficulty in removing
01:13:58your silver plate and substituting
01:14:00one of a less troublesome metal
01:14:02so that you can apply all
01:14:04your abilities to the furtherance of
01:14:06our work. Prepare to
01:14:08anesthetize.
01:14:10Soon you will be one of us.
01:14:20Ready.
01:14:22Begin anesthesia.
01:14:49Go.
01:15:19Come on, follow me.
01:15:49Get back.
01:16:11Stop.
01:16:13Release him or I'll destroy your leader.
01:16:20There are too many of us
01:16:22both here and on Earth.
01:16:24You will never destroy us all.
01:16:26We have viewers which can detect you
01:16:28and guns which can destroy you
01:16:30and release the bodies of the victims.
01:16:35Then we have lost.
01:16:37We will die on a strange planet.
01:16:39We will die on a strange planet.
01:16:41We will die on a strange planet.
01:16:43We will die on a strange planet.
01:16:45We will die on a strange planet.
01:16:47We will die on a strange planet
01:16:49in a strange galaxy.
01:16:54It was not necessary for you
01:16:56to try to conquer and dominate.
01:16:58We would have helped you.
01:17:00All of us.
01:17:02You need only to have asked.
01:17:04We need only have asked?
01:17:08Yes.
01:17:10But it's still not too late.
01:17:12Release the body you now hold
01:17:14as a sign of peace.
01:17:16I promise you the people of Earth
01:17:18will help.
01:17:20Not through force
01:17:22but willingly.
01:17:46Who are you?
