00:00Hello everyone, welcome to Ghost Bridge. This is Ghost Bridge, or as you'll recall it, Amanda's Ghost Bridge.
00:08Her name is Amanda. She's a new character in the game world. If you haven't met her yet, it's the first time I'm introducing you to her.
00:15Amanda, she doesn't start off as a ghost. Now, she's a ghost, that's what she is.
00:21So, something happens in the game. Now, because your character has the ability to change the past, present and future in the game world, which is kind of really unusual, well, she can do it.
00:33Now, this part of the scene might not happen, depending on the circumstances and on the character and which direction you go.
00:43Now, this is a full-size scale human. This is the actual height of a human. So, just to let you know that.
00:50So, when Emma grows up, when she's an adult, she'll become this big. Just to let you know that.
00:57Obviously, you don't know that. So, if you look at the size of the character compared to the actual adult, yeah, she's really kind of tiny.
01:06Now, what I'm going to tell you, if you look at Emma's suit, Emma's outfit, she was made in a software called MakeHuman. It's for making mannequins.
01:15Now, this character was made in the same software. Now, I've got two versions of the character. I've got one where she's normal and one where she looks like she's a glass.
01:24So, what I've done, I took a piece of glass, basically, and I've applied it to my character as a texture to make her look like a ghost.
01:34Now, of course, when you put her actually in the ghost world, so if I go into, like, here, I'll see if I can show you.
01:41So, press this one. Now, it looks like this. She's kind of changing slightly. Obviously, you want to turn the lights off.
01:48So, you want to go on a game that's dark and dingy, kind of spooky. Now, of course, if I hang on a minute, oh, Ghost has got a shadow.
01:58Oh, yeah, it's got a shadow. Of course, it's got a shadow. It is a shadow. That's what it is, the ghost.
02:03So, you can hear what you can actually see. Now, I've put it in the game world so you can actually physically see the ghost.
02:09Well, in the game world, you don't have a ghost. You only have a ghost. Well, I can't obviously show you that running around because you're not going to be able to kind of see what she's doing.
02:22So, in the game world, obviously, the only person who can see this character is this character. No one else can actually see her. No one else can.
02:31So, unless, of course, they have the ability later to do so. But, of course, when she's normal, everyone can see her.
02:38Well, of course, if the events take place in a certain order, then, of course, this is what happens to this particular character.
02:46So, yeah, she's a little bit unfortunate. But, as I said, this is Ghost Bridge. Now, on Ghost Bridge, I'm using a website called Actacle.
02:58Now, Actacle offers you some really kind of great models. And I'm going to show you the models. So, I'm going to come ahead of that for a moment.
03:05Now, of course, when I finally build Ghost Bridge, it's going to look pretty great and pretty spooky.
03:11So, I have modified Ghost Bridge. I've modified it in a certain way so it looks kind of not too spooky.
03:18But, as I said, I don't want to make it too scary. Well, I want certain things to unfold and certain things you'll see.
03:25Certain events will happen which you probably won't see. Or you will hear about it, maybe something about it in the game.
03:32So you know that a certain event has taken place. Now, I want to go here. I want to go to FBX. I'm going to go to Downloads.
03:40Now, in here there's a file called Actor. If I open that, you'll see there's a character in here. It's called Toon Goon.
03:48Now, it's called a Toon Goon. Before I open that file, I'm going to open this file.
03:55Now, it's from Action Core. I'll download it as a Blender file. The actual code for it is right there. Look.
04:02It's 0921995333 and it's 471. That's the actual code name when you download it.
04:12Just so Actor Core knows that this is the character. If you go in here, you open the textures. Open it up.
04:19These are all the textures for it. That's his hair, his pants, his teeth, his belly, his tongue and everything else.
04:26So, just go here. Load him. He's a great looking character. It says you can use him for non-profit according to the website.
04:35I think that's going to be awesome if I can actually use the character in the game.
04:40So, I'm going to bring him over here because I might have him as an ogre. Kind of like an ogre.
04:47On the bridge. I think he's here. Because later on, when the two characters have a conversation.
04:54This one's not here yet. He's over there somewhere. He's not here yet.
04:59So, these two are having a conversation. Obviously, the actual character is asking the girl how come she can actually see her.
05:09Because she can't shut up and be able to see her. Now, because the character basically is a ghost.
05:16She's a little bit on the smelly side. I think he's pretty good. Now, she can kind of scare off big ogres like that.
05:24She can scare them off. She can scare off the vampires, the werewolves, everything.
05:28So, if he comes in the scene to try to get the little girl, then of course the ghost can come along and kind of scare him away.
05:34And he'll run off like a little girl. So, that's what he can do.
05:37As I said, he's a great looking character. I'll show you his character first.
05:40So, let's go and zoom into his character. I'm thinking, can I actually use him in the game mode?
05:44I'm thinking, yeah, probably. He looks kind of great.
05:47I'm thinking, yeah, maybe he'll become friends with the little girl. Maybe.
05:52Because at the moment, she needs some kind of protection.
05:55So, I think she's only little. She's only a little dot on the screen.
05:58I'm thinking, yeah, but she has some really fantastic abilities. She really does.
06:03And if she uses her kind of really kind of young, screaming girl voice,
06:10even big monsters like that can't stand it. They have to run away.
06:16Yeah, so, you know, she does have some advantages. She does.
06:20And she does have the power to kind of change certain things.
06:25But don't forget, in the game mode, when it's up and running, properly.
06:29I'm making it in Cray Engine, Unreal Engine.
06:32And I'm making it in a different 2D conga game version of it, in Wintermute Engine.
06:37That's what I'm doing. So, as I said, it's all work in progress.
06:42Before I make any conga game, I need to make all of the assets.
06:46So, I am trying to get as many assets as I can for free.
06:49So, I don't want to make every character.
06:51And obviously, this world is full of humans. It's full of cartoon characters.
06:55It's full of talk animals and everything like that.
06:58So, there could be cartoon animals. There might be real animals.
07:01It's up to you. It all depends on the game content.
07:04Like, I've received a couple of emails saying, OK, can I, it costs no weapons in the game.
07:08Can I have certain themes in the game?
07:11I said, really, it's kind of great to add some input.
07:16So, you can actually kind of make something in the game world that maybe I don't think of.
07:21That should be in here.
07:23Now, I want everything in the world to interact with everything.
07:27Like the bridge. Now, the bridge is about the only thing that doesn't actually fall down.
07:32Because it's like a permanent structure.
07:34But all the things around the bridge, like the lights and things like that, the bushes.
07:39I want to be able to break the lights.
07:41Say, break the branches off the tree.
07:43Things like that. I want to be able to interact with the world.
07:47So, if, let's say, you're running through the hedge.
07:49You know, and if you break the hedge, I want it to fall on the floor.
07:53I want to have a big massive hole in it.
07:55Because if he comes running down the road, let's say, and runs through the hedge.
07:59Of course, because he's a big, massive character.
08:02Which, look at the size of him. He's huge.
08:04I think realistically, he's going to make some massive, big hole in the fence.
08:08He really is.
08:10Of course, that can happen.
08:12It may be.
08:14Depending if the character here allows it or not.
08:17As I said, this is an Action Call character.

09:42the Mixamo bones tell you.
09:44You say it's Mixamo.
09:45And then, well, it could be the root bone.
09:47Whatever it's to do with.
09:49It won't have CC.
09:50It'll have the actual name of the company.
09:52That's what it has.

10:56But I'm thinking,
10:57this game, when it's up and available
10:59and actually running,
11:01the character's going to look great in the game.
11:04So, what I'm going to do, temporarily,

11:10not Amanda,
11:12but bring Amanda back.
11:14I need to click on the actual Ogre
11:16and call in and get rid of him for a moment.
11:20So, that's the Ogre.
11:22That's just another character
11:23that you might want to see in the game world.
11:25So, I've actually introduced you
11:27to two new characters in the game world.
11:29So, as I said,
11:31I will be showing more of their content.

12:24At this moment in time,
12:26in the game world,
12:28this character here,
12:30she has a house,
12:32which is over here somewhere.
12:34Just over here.
12:36Now, this character here
12:38tells the young girl, because it's late at night
12:40and it's dark,
12:42and she shouldn't really be this far away from the village,
12:44she says,
12:46because there's all sorts of creatures
12:48and monsters and googly googly's
12:50and werewolves and vampires,
12:52everything else going on,
12:54that she has to go and hide
12:56at her house.
12:58And she will get rid of the actual monsters,
13:00which that's what she does
13:02at this moment in time.
13:04And it kind of gives the character
13:06a different place to go.
13:08And she kind of meets a new friend,
13:10in a kind of way.
13:12Now, of course, you don't have to interact with the ghost
13:14if you don't want to.
13:16You can just ignore it, pretend you can't see it.
13:18But then, of course, if that happens,
13:20the ghost itself
13:22will treat you
13:24like one of the monsters,
13:26and it will try and scare you away.
13:28Obviously, the ghost doesn't know
13:30that you can see it.
13:32So, she might be sitting there, doing whatever she's doing.
13:34Maybe she's just standing there,
13:36so you can smell her, because she smells really bad.
13:38I think here,
13:40well, maybe you don't mind the smell.
13:42Maybe, it's up to you.
13:44As I said,
13:46it's kind of a different, unusual kind of game.
13:48It really is.
13:50So, that's my character.
13:52I know it keeps saying in the videos.
13:54As I said, all of my characters,
13:56this one here, is different.
13:58She's actually wearing shoes.
14:00If you look her up, she's wearing shoes.
14:02My character doesn't wear no shoes.
14:04She doesn't wear them.
14:06Just to save on geometry.
14:08But there is shoes available in the world,
14:10if you want to go and find some.
14:12There's all sorts of shoes.
14:14There's not pink shoes, there's teddy bear shoes.

14:20As I said, keep an eye on the content,

14:26because first, I've got to make the world.

14:34this is the very first look
14:36that you're getting of the very first character.

14:40it's not the first character,
14:42because she's the first character.
14:44She would be the first character of the first bridge.

16:56along the journey. So let's say the vampires

17:00The werewolves are over here.
17:02Now, if you're around the ghost,
17:04because nothing else
17:06can see the ghost,
17:08of course the vampires and the werewolves
17:10can smell her.
17:12So they won't come
17:14anywhere near her. Not really.
17:16But sometimes you get a little bit too close
17:18for comfort. But
17:20she can kind of scare them away, more or less.
17:22But, you know, sometimes your
17:24character can scare them away.
17:26It all depends on which
17:28animal or which creature is actually
17:30lurking around.
17:32Because there's all sorts of kind of weirdo
17:34kind of creatures going on
17:36in the world. As I said, you're going to meet
17:38all sorts of different types of creatures.
17:40You're going to meet snakes,
17:42spiders,
17:44flies, bees,
17:46you know, cows,
17:48dogs. Anyway, you name it.
17:50They're all going to be in here.
17:52I'm going to make a lot of animation for this game.
17:54Because it's all going to be on the
17:56interaction part. And
17:58I've got to make it as really
18:00interesting as possible.
18:02The video's not too great. I really know that.
18:04But I'm thinking, as I said, I'm trying to keep the video
18:06short. But I'm trying to fill you in
18:08on the details about what I'm doing.
18:10And not only that, it costs you the video log.
18:12I do show you

20:46even if all else fails,
20:48at the end of it, you're going to end up
20:50with a massive big pile of content
20:52that you can do with it.
20:54You can do with it whatever you want.
20:56So if you're any good at doing certain
20:58things, make a game,
21:00maybe customise, change the models,
21:02make them look better, it's up to you.
