00:00Of course, the vice presidential debate that is going down tonight and the one person you
00:06won't see in an advertisement as they wanted, Briarcliff Entertainment is the company that
00:13produced The Apprentice, not the TV show, but the movie, feature film about Donald Trump
00:20and it is coming out next week.
00:22So obviously they want to advertise and they felt like the vice presidential debate would
00:27be the perfect place to do that.
00:30The networks don't necessarily agree and we found out that it has been the trailer, we're
00:37going to show you a little bit of it now, but this will not appear on at least two of
00:41the networks tonight.
00:42Hello, this is Donald Trump for Mr. Cohn, thank you so much.
00:46Donald who?
00:47You're one of a kind.
00:48If you're indicted, you're invited.
00:49Yeah, ABC and CBS, Briarcliff said that ABC and CBS both turned him down.
01:03Now there are others obviously, I mean you've got MSNBC, you've got CNN, you've got a bunch
01:07of others.
01:08They may decide to run it, but this is kind of if you want to, if you've got a movie,
01:13this is the place to put the ad.
01:16Guys, just to clarify here, so Briarcliff Entertainment, they're the distribution company
01:20for The Apprentice.
01:22They tried to air this spot during the presidential debate, which was a few weeks ago on ABC,
01:28and then they also tried to air this spot on CBS tonight.
01:31Both networks declined it for essentially the same reason.
01:35They just didn't feel comfortable having this type of ad on their broadcast because they're
01:39trying to cater to Trump voters.
01:42And given the fact that this movie, I mean, it's quite a buzz, but it's also pretty controversial
01:47too.
01:48Just given some of the subject matter in it, they want to be, I guess they don't want to
01:52piss off their viewers and they don't want them to stay away from the channel.
01:56So with that, they've decided to not air it.
01:59I get why.
02:00And maybe it will appear on some of the other networks, but it's not a good look because
02:03it does make it make your network seem biased.
02:06Well, at the same time, there's a part in the movie that people are critical level.
02:10I should say people Trump and his team are critical of, which shows an alleged sexual
02:14assault against his former wife, Ivana.
02:17That's the part that's been driving headlines, getting a lot of buzz.
02:20But at the same time, it's kind of what I've been told from people who've seen the movie.
02:24It's kind of a Wolf of Wall Street style movie where you see the rise of Trump and how he
02:28got mentored by Roy Cohn.
02:31So with that, there actually might be some Republicans who like watching it too, just
02:35because it shows how Trump became the big boss.
02:38My name is Michael Steele.
02:40I'm from Urbana, Illinois, and I don't blame them for not wanting to air it.
02:44In the clip, Trump's attorney literally says, if you're indicted, you're invited.
02:51He tries to make it cool to be indicted.
02:54It sends a wrong message.
02:55Yeah.
02:56I mean, it's gonna be interesting to see who runs it tonight, because I think there will
02:59be some who will.
