00:00Hi Paddy, welcome we're happy to have Paddy Mills here. Good morning everyone. Go ahead and open up for questions, thanks.
00:07Hey Paddy, I'm Andy Larson with the Solid Tribune, it's good to meet you. Tell me kind of how signing with the Jazz came about this summer.
00:18Yeah, it came after the Paris Olympics this summer. As you can imagine an Olympic campaign is very full on and hectic as it is.
00:31But having these conversations on the side throughout that was very exciting at the same time.
00:39We unfortunately got knocked out in the quarter finals, a tough game against Serbia.
00:45A couple of days later I was on the phone to Will talking about this opportunity, which I'm incredibly excited about.
00:56The role that I have on this team this year is very clear and this part of my career and what I have to bring to an incredibly young talented group
01:12is exciting for me to be able to share what I've experienced over the course of 15 years in the NBA with an NBA championship.
01:25Five Olympic Games and an Olympic medal. I think there's a lot here that I'm naturally good at being able to help some younger guys develop
01:36and create a strong foundation base here in Utah for the Jazz to be able to build on over the course of many, many years.
01:46This conversation with Will went very well in the streets of Paris and it got me very excited about this season and what I can bring.
