00:27Until now, residents living in coastal barangays are being careful due to the threat of a storm surge in 10 towns.
00:38Due to the continuous rainfall brought by the flash floods,
00:42this road was blocked in Santo Tomas, La Union.
00:45Motorists are having a hard time on the road.
00:47Some houses were also blocked in Agoo.
00:50The flood level in San Jose Sur barangay will reach its peak.
00:54Some residents are having a hard time getting water.
00:57According to the residents, the creek near their houses is flooding so it's flooding.
01:02It's hard ma'am because of the heavy rain. It's flooding.
01:06In Ilocos Sur, Buaya River is flooding.
01:09Residents are being alerted to the threat of flash floods because of the continuous rainfall in the mountains.
01:15We are still being alerted by our countrymen here in Region 1
01:19regarding the possibility of flooding, landslides, and storm surge.
01:24As of now, eight towns in Region 1 are affected by the floods,
01:28including Pagudpon, Piddik, Solozona, San Nicolas, Vintar, and Lawag City in Ilocos Norte,
01:35while the towns of Bangar and Luna in La Union.
01:39Igan, aside from the storm surge, the public is also being alerted to the threat of flash floods.
01:50As of 6 a.m. monitoring by the Office of the Civil Defense,
01:5313,000 families were affected by the Super Typhoon Julian
01:58in the provinces of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.
02:02As of now, 200 individuals are currently in evacuation centers.
02:07Meanwhile, the distribution of relief packs to the affected residents continues.
