03:31Marvel's releasing Deadpool and Wolverine on home video,
03:33so they started releasing all the bonus features,
03:35deleted scenes, bloopers.
03:37There's a ton of stuff here, so we'll just break it all down.
03:40Iron Man, they make jokes about Ant-Man,
03:42the Wasp, Quantumania, Kang,
03:44Doctor Strange, Multiverse of Madness.
03:46There's so much going on here,
03:48so if you're brand new to the channel, be sure to subscribe
03:50to get all the videos.
03:51I don't think we need a spoiler warning,
03:53because the movie's been out for so long,
03:55pretty much everybody on the planet has seen it.
03:57But just in case, we're going to cover the entire movie here.
03:59During the beginning of this, they start with some funny moments
04:01and deleted scenes of Deadpool with Happy
04:04before he's getting ready to get kicked out of the Avengers Tower
04:06in the main 616 MCU universe
04:09and go back to his universe back in 2018
04:11before he became a used car salesman.
04:14Deadpool makes a pretty big Shake Shack burn.
04:16If you don't know, Shake Shack is one of the big Slapburger franchises
04:19in the New York area.
04:21They also exist in Los Angeles and a couple other places.
04:23But like, out in Los Angeles, it's more like In-N-Out Burger.
04:26At one of my very early YouTube jobs
04:28at a company called Next New Networks,
04:30you can actually still see me in the background of some videos,
04:32sometimes for lunch we would get free Shake Shack.
04:34It was actually pretty cool,
04:36even though Deadpool is clowning on them in this video.
04:38He makes a joke about jerking it
04:40instead of going off and getting Shake Shack,
04:42to comfort himself by jerking it.
04:44Jon Favreau is Happy Hogan here,
04:46just completely breaking during the scene.
04:48He can't get through it without laughing.
04:50During the actual scene here, Iron Man was supposed to show up.
04:52They were actually in talks with Robert Downey Jr.
04:54He even read pages with Ryan Reynolds
04:56as they were filming the scene.
04:58The reason why he didn't end up in the movie
05:00is because while that was actually going on,
05:02like while they were going through all this, working on the movie,
05:04they were also negotiating his contract
05:06to come back as Doctor Doom for Avengers 5 Doomsday
05:08and Avengers 6 Secret Wars
05:10and the Russos coming back too.
05:12So without telling Ryan Reynolds
05:14everything that was going on, like Ryan Reynolds didn't know
05:16about him coming back as Doctor Doom,
05:18like he only knew about what was going on during his Deadpool and Wolverine movie,
05:20Robert Downey Jr. said
05:22that it didn't make sense to come back
05:24as both Iron Man and then right after that
05:26turnaround and come back as Doctor Doom.
05:28So as you can guess, the Doctor Doom part
05:30won out and he dropped out
05:32of that cameo from the movie.
05:34It was going to be him interviewing Deadpool
05:36for a spot on the Avengers, which is why he
05:38jokes in the theatrical cut about the
05:40man quote unquote not doing cameos anymore.
05:42So you have to imagine them just
05:44wisecracking each other back and forth
05:46trying to outmaneuver each other verbally.
05:48Deadpool making jokes about Iron Man
05:50and Iron Man making jokes about Deadpool.
05:52Then he makes a whole bunch of
05:54Iron Man Tony Stark jokes trying
05:56to say his middle name and messing it up and just
05:58calling him a couple different things.
06:00This is at the end of the movie right after they defeated the Deadpool
06:02corps and they're about to kill Paradox
06:04until he tells them how to destroy the Time Ripper.
06:06When he tries to dedicate the
06:08takedown to Iron Man Tony Stark
06:10he tries to say his middle name. He starts with
06:12Alejandro first, then Penelope
06:14he makes a Sopranos reference
06:16like he thinks his middle name is Soprano.
06:18One time he calls Tony Stark Iron
06:20Shart, that's a good one, then Anthony
06:22Edwards from ER. So Deadpool
06:24confirmed ER fan.
06:26Tony Stark's middle name is actually Edwards
06:28so it's Anthony Edwards Stark.
06:30Even though we missed out on a bunch
06:32more Iron Man jokes and references during
06:34the movie and there were still a couple more. I talked about
06:36them during like my full breakdown and Easter eggs
06:38video so I'll link it down the description below.
06:40We will probably still get a bunch of
06:42Deadpool Iron Man and Doctor Doom
06:44jokes during secret wars. Let's just
06:46think about the level of Disney and Marvel
06:48jokes that he can make when he sees
06:50Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom
06:52in secret wars. One of the beauties
06:54of Deadpool is that he's sort of like the mouth of the
06:56fandom. So like anything that the fans are complaining
06:58about or just really hated. He's
07:00able to call out directly which he
07:02also does during these deleted
07:04scenes. There's a whole deleted scene
07:06that gets way deeper on the fact that they
07:08considered the MCU to be like the
07:10main official true universe
07:12and like all the other universes in the multiverse
07:14to be like side quests like footnotes
07:16with Deadpool directly calling
07:18out Ant-Man and the Wasp quantumania
07:20in Doctor Strange multiverse of madness
07:22calling them Doctor Ant in the
07:24quantumverse of madness meaning that
07:26Deadpool has seen some MCU
07:28movies which might be how he knows
07:30some of the MCU characters during
07:32the movie. There's a scene where paradox shows
07:34him the monitors of the MCU. He
07:36talks about bringing him to the Marvel cinematic universe
07:38Deadpool makes a bunch of Marvel
07:40Jesus jokes like I'm gonna save the Marvel
07:42cinematic universe is meant to be
07:44a reference with like four different layers
07:46of meta Deadpool's being brought
07:48to the MCU by the TVA because
07:50Disney bought Fox Marvel got
07:52its characters back. So they want to do Deadpool
07:54in the MCU. Kevin Feige
07:56wants to do Deadpool in the MCU
07:58Marvel's also had a bit of a low point
08:00the last couple of years with its reception
08:02to a lot of movies and TV shows
08:04which Deadpool also calls out
08:06Welcome to the MCU by the way
08:08You're joining at a bit of a low point. So he's going to be
08:10Marvel Jesus and save interest
08:12in Marvel like basically save the
08:14Marvel universe in a financial kind of way
08:16Currently the movie's box office
08:18actually puts it right below Black
08:20Panther. It is now the seventh highest
08:22earning superhero movie of any
08:24kind from any studio is actually
08:26pretty close to beating the box office
08:28on Black Panther makes all the jokes
08:30about happy saying that the Avengers
08:32don't need Deadpool during the movie that
08:34much more relevant that much more meta
08:36but Deadpool directly calling out
08:38Doctor Strange and Ant-Man the wasp quantum
08:40any probably as close as we're going to get to him
08:42calling out Kang like all the big debacle
08:44going on behind Marvel at this point
08:46the funny thing about that to like all the Marvel Jesus
08:48jokes and all the Disney jokes
08:50low point jokes is they said when they were
08:52filming the movie. Those are put into the script
08:54and recorded long before
08:56Marvel had some big box office bombs
08:58if you can call them bombs of there were a couple movies
09:00that did really really poorly probably
09:02better to say relative to other Marvel
09:04movies what Marvel would consider
09:06bombs comparatively a bomb
09:08for Marvel studios is still like a ton of money
09:10for like another studio in a lot of the
09:12jokes were actually ad-libs of Ryan
09:14Reynolds just doing stuff on the fly like during
09:16these deleted scenes you can see him try a couple
09:18different jokes during the different takes
09:20he did that to the entire movie
09:22so was it so much him calling out
09:24like the big box office bombs the last
09:26couple of years it was just in making that joke
09:28and then Marvel having a couple box
09:30office bombs making more like a self-fulfilling
09:32prophecy kind of situation like a coincidence
09:34like oh wow that kind of worked out they did
09:36have some box office bombs. I think the bigger
09:38deal during that deleted scene is
09:40when paradox says that they consider
09:42the sacred timeline the MCU
09:44the true universe in like
09:46everybody else doesn't really matter
09:48what is basically saying is like the X-Men universe
09:50Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man universe
09:52Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man universe
09:54the Sony Venomverse basically
09:56any other universe that you could think of with any
09:58other group of characters from any other group
10:00of movies. I know there's always going to be a ton
10:02of questions about what the difference between the
10:04sacred timeline and different variants are because
10:06like we see a bunch of different variants inside
10:08the sacred timeline with like different movies
10:10and inconsistencies between movies
10:12the way they describe the MCU
10:14when it comes to the sacred timeline
10:16is that the sacred timeline if you look
10:18here at the way they depicted on the Loki series
10:20is sort of like a bunch of ropes of
10:22different timelines all tied together in a
10:24much larger rope. This is
10:26what the sacred timeline is like it's a
10:28bunch of different timelines with very
10:30subtle variances all tied
10:32together which becomes the official main
10:34MCU universe which is how there can be a
10:36multitude of different earths
10:38inside the sacred timeline like the multiverse
10:40already existed before Loki season
10:42one. It's just that all the differences
10:44earth to earth in these different
10:46variants of the main 616 universe
10:48were very very small
10:50then after Loki season one you get the
10:52infinite multiverse with infinite
10:54different variations on characters. Some of them
10:56incredibly different versions
10:58including other universes like the X-Men
11:00universe, the fantastic four, the
11:02Tobey Maguire Spider-Man universe, Andrew Garfield
11:04Spider-Man universe, the venomverse like all these
11:06other different universes. What they're doing
11:08with the next two Avengers movies and Robert Downey
11:10Junior coming back as Doctor Doom is sort of a
11:12culmination of what is time runs out
11:14in the comics in the more recent version of
11:16secret wars where you have the wider multiverse
11:18being collapsed into a single
11:20universe that eventually at the end of that
11:22once they defeat that version of Doctor Doom
11:24Robert Downey Junior they remake
11:26repair the multiverse and things go
11:28back to the way they used to be. Speaking of
11:30deleted scenes love Chris Evans trying to make
11:32it through his dialogue is Johnny Storm
11:34mouthing off about Cassandra Nova
11:36then Ryan Reynolds pays tribute
11:38to blade is sort of the originator of a
11:40lot of these modern comic book movies and cinematic
11:42universes like he says without the
11:44success of that first blade movie. The
11:46X-Men universe would not have been born like
11:48Fox would've been too afraid to actually
11:50make those movies and spend all that money on them
11:52and without the success of those original
11:54X-Men movies that X-Men universe
11:56there would've been no MCU
11:58so basically you can trace this all back
12:00to the success of the blade movies at the
12:02end of the 90's that actually came
12:04after sort of the collapse of the Batman movies
12:06with Batman and Robin with the George
12:08Clooney version of Batman there a lot of
12:10actors that actually get into this after that Hollywood
12:12was terrified of comic book movies
12:14until the blade movie came along
12:16and blew up so big. I did a totally
12:18separate video about it a little while ago, but after this
12:20movie Ryan Reynolds actually started campaigning
12:22people to actually get Marvel
12:24to make a Logan style
12:26send-off movie for Wesley Snipes
12:28version of blade is also really cool way
12:30to show you what an awesome dude Ryan Reynolds
12:32is using his fame to try and help Wesley
12:34Snipes because Wesley Snipes early in
12:36Ryan Reynolds career helped him out by
12:38putting him in blade Trinity there couple
12:40other deleted scenes of gambit just going
12:42on about jokes trying different versions of jokes
12:44also during the scene you might have caught
12:46it Deadpool makes another storm reference
12:48a storm would've loved you
12:50Halle Berry said that she was not asked
12:52to come back for the movie. I don't
12:54know exactly what happened because sometimes
12:56actors are completely truthful about that
12:58but I do believe her that she was not
13:00asked to be back in the movie what I think
13:02wound up happening is that when they were deciding on all
13:04the X-Men cameos like who do we actually
13:06bring back they wanted to keep the budget down
13:08and that's why they made the Chris Evans joke about
13:10him crushing their budget. Do you know what he
13:12was doing to the budget of this movie but
13:14Marvel is trying to bring back a lot of
13:16those classic major X-Men
13:18characters from the original X-Men movies
13:20for things like secret war so like eventually
13:22she will come back in some
13:24way same thing with all the other X-Men
13:26characters to but there's a lot of stuff
13:28going on during these deleted scenes and bloopers
13:30so there's any Easter eggs that you spotted
13:32that I didn't talk about in the video or my
13:34other Deadpool deleted scenes videos
