00:00That's what this year has started really well and two very different films and the third one is extremely different from what I've ever done.
00:06But I can realize that it's a tough job. You know, yeah, you have a lot more respect for producers.
00:11It's such a unique concept to try and connect, to try and create a connected spy world.
00:17He is actually the sweetheart that all of you think he is.
00:20You know, after doing this film and watching the film, there was actually like 10 minutes of silence in my house when we watched the film because it's that impactful and scary.
00:28He will make any person that he meets feel like a complete superstar even though he's the biggest superstar.
00:33He makes everyone feel like a star.
00:34We're all human beings. We're not going to sit and advise each other or share with each other.
00:39There is no book, notebook that we're all born with.
00:42I can't even speak about his evolution as a maker because I have respected him right. He's my guru.
00:48Shirdi, you have completed 10 years in the industry. Now, this has been a great year, two back-to-back hits.
00:53Now, your most challenging role as an actor is coming up with Do Patti.
00:57What can we expect and how has your journey been in this decade?
01:00It's been very good. As you said, Touchwood this year has started really well and two very different films.
01:05And the third one is extremely different from what I've ever done.
01:08I'm also co-producing for the first time so that's also exciting.
01:13It's me and Kajol ma'am coming together with, of course, Shaheer and Tanvi ma'am and other amazing actors.
01:20And you will know more about it very, very soon.
01:23Shirdi, how much has being a producer changed you as an actor also?
01:26It's not really changed me but I can realize that it's a tough job.
01:29You have a lot more respect for producers because you realize it's not that easy to make a film.
01:36And there are a lot of things that happen on a set. There are a lot of ups and downs that go on while making a film.
01:42There are a lot of things which are not in your control also at times.
01:47The time limit, the budget, all of that, how hard it is to actually make music.
01:53And sometimes when things get changed on edit table, that is so amazing.
01:59I always felt like editing is something that really makes the film, to be honest.
02:03When you do something that you're passionate about, I don't think you feel the need to balance.
02:08It happens on its own.
02:10When I'm on a film set as an actor, I'm there as an actor.
02:14My producer bulb doesn't switch on immediately there.
02:19There are other people thankfully taking care of that.
02:23When I come back home and I have messages from hyphen group, I sit back on that.
02:29I have some samples from them, I'm trying that.
02:32I think when you're passionate, you're excited and then you figure it out.
02:37How does it feel to know that you are a part of a series like Citadel?
02:41And that Priyanka Chopra also has been associated with it.
02:44It's great to be a part of a much larger universe.
02:48It's such a unique concept to try and create a connected sky world.
02:55The premiere went off really well.
02:57So I'm hoping that we are a good follow up to the world of Citadel.
03:03Samantha, you are also venturing into sports.
03:05Right, I am.
03:07Yes, I am.
03:12You know, I always want to be a part of creating things.
03:17That's where my passion lies in creation and being a part of meaningful projects.
03:22So for me Pickleball is my dream to get India moving.
03:27I think it's part of that bigger dream.
03:30On the work front, what can you tell us?
03:31Well, I am taking it a little slower on the work front.
03:35So I'm currently working on Rakht Bramhan.
03:40If there's something you could tell us about Varun Dhawan, what would that be?
03:44That he is actually the sweetheart that all of you think he is.
03:49Ananya, congratulations on the CGI and the Spider-Man movie.
03:54But I want to know how scary can it be?
03:56Very, very scary. I'm very un-tech savvy.
03:59So I'm quite clueless when it comes to AI.
04:01But you know, after doing this film and watching the film,
04:03there was actually like 10 minutes of silence in my house when we watched the film.
04:07Because it's that impactful and scary.
04:09Because I think when we started shooting the film,
04:11it felt like, oh, this is like a far away reality.
04:13That maybe this is going to happen in the future.
04:15But now when the film is releasing, we keep joking that it's almost like a documentary.
04:19Because now so much has already happened since then.
04:22And congratulations on Convict Day also.
04:25If Dey ever meets Pooh in real life, what will she tell him?
04:28I mean, I don't think there's anything to say to Pooh.
04:31She'll probably ask for some tips and learn some iconic dialogues from him.
04:34You have known him as a child. Tell me something about Shah Rukh that we don't know.
04:38He will make any person that he meets feel like a complete superstar,
04:42even though he's the biggest superstar. He makes everyone feel like a star.
04:45Ananya, is the year of Peej, if there's one film that you want to see on the big screen once again, what would that be?
04:52I would like to see my dad's film, Ankhe, again.
04:54Because it's such a funny film, I'd like to see that with audience.
04:57I have a five-year-old. We have to figure out where exactly you guys are born.
05:01And I just want to know what is this one thing that I should remember because I have an audience.
05:07Oh, wow. Listen, you're a mother. And you know best.
05:12You know, so we're all human beings.
05:15We're not going to sit and advise each other or share with each other.
05:20There's no rule book that we're all born with.
05:23So, yeah, you're incredible. You do you. And you're incredible with your daughter.
05:28So, blessings and love.
05:33What?
05:34What are you wearing today?
05:35Who? I'm wearing an outfit.
05:37But the designer? The designer is Manish Malhotra.
05:40Ma'am, I want to ask you that you started your career with Mani Ratnam in 1997.
05:4527 years later we are here for PS2.
05:48So, how much have you and Mani Ratnam evolved as artists?
05:51How much? I can't even speak about his evolution as a maker because I have respected him.
05:58He's my guru.
05:59So, from the beginning, I just say I'm very grateful that I got to work with Manikaru for my first movie.
06:05And I was so honored that he asked me to be his Nandini in Perni and Selvin.
06:15And I'm glad today we as a team get to enjoy the audience celebrating our film.
06:21And how? I mean, 13 nominations.
06:25But having said that, I think it shouldn't stop at 13.
06:28I'd cover everybody, every talent who has worked towards making Perni and Selvin.
06:34So, that would go into hundreds.
06:36And each of them in my heart is nominated.
06:39And each of them is a winner because the audience has loved that piece of cinema.
06:43So, thank you for your love. Thank you for your appreciation.
