Police have successfully dismantled a drug syndicate that used old cars as mobile storage units following the arrest of four men in Kulai and Skudai.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk M. Kumar said the arrests were made during an operation on Wednesday (Sept 25) and the suspects were caught with various drugs worth RM309,192.

00:00On the 25th of September, 2024, the Department of Narcotic Crime Investigation,
00:06the head of the Police Contingency Office in Tioho,
00:09launched two raids involving the Kulai and Skudai areas.
00:15In the raids, four local men were arrested,
00:21aged between 29 and 49 years old.
00:27The investigation of the four suspects who were arrested
00:32found two positive cases of methamphetamine.
00:38Meanwhile, the record shows that the fourth suspect
00:42had a criminal record of possession of drugs.
00:48This syndicate's operandi modus
00:50was to make the vehicle a storage store.
00:54They circulated the drugs to local syndicates in the local market.
01:00In the raid, the police managed to seize
01:0755,904 grams of drugs
01:15which were estimated to be worth RM173,302.
01:22Other than that, 11,795 grams of heroin
01:29were estimated to be worth RM113,493
01:34and several packets of shabu,
01:37aramin 5.
01:38The police also managed to seize
01:41two motorbikes worth around RM98,000,
01:46one motorcycle,
01:48a chain of necklaces and cash worth RM233.
01:54They were taken to Riman
01:56and were given seven days to continue the investigation,
02:01which was until 2 October 2024.
