00:00With just one glance, Steve fell in love with this girl.

00:03So every day, when Steve got his meal, he would try hard to strike up a conversation with Jan.

00:08However, Jan told Steve that she wouldn't date GIs.

00:12It turns out that Jan had promised her father she would never date a soldier.

00:16Because her father, being an officer himself,

00:18told her that soldiers who only know training don't understand love,

00:22and he didn't want his daughter to get hurt.

00:24But despite her resolve, Jan couldn't help but be swayed by Steve's persistent pursuit,

00:29encouraged by her best friend, she decided to secretly go on a date with Steve.

00:33That day, Jan dressed up carefully and told her parents she was going to see a movie with friends,
