00:00Two consistently good quarterbacks to start off this season. For Illinois, it's Luke Altmyer.
00:09For Penn State, Drew Aller in his second full year as a starter has taken the early leap
00:14that was expected. Second best passer rating in college football right now. Altmyer though,
00:19Joe, one of 16 quarterbacks at the FBS level at the end of week four to throw double digit
00:26touchdown passes at least 10 without a single interception. He is the only one in that group
00:32of 16 to throw for at least 10 passing scores. You think Illini can keep this game close.
00:37How good does Luke Altmyer need to be? Well, I think he's got to be the way he was last
00:41week. 200, 226, 70% completions and obviously no turnovers in regards to that matchup. But
00:47if we're looking at the head to head, I probably if we're looking which one has to get through
00:52their total more, I think it's Aller. And I say that because we know that Penn State
00:56wants to run the football, right? And Bielerman knows that as well. You want to take that
01:01first option off the board and force Drew Aller to get over that total, right? If he
01:06can't get over that total, well, then guess what? To me, that means that Illinois is going
01:10to be within the number. We favor that type of game that we saw three years ago. What
01:15was it? 18 to 60. Yeah, I think it's interesting. Does Aller tonight need to throw for 250 to
01:22win this game? Probably not. Does Aller need to throw for 250, though, to get guys like
01:27me and Joe to buy into Penn State big picture? Probably yes. I think when you look at Drew
01:32Aller, one of the keys has been his completion percentage this year. Penn State, along with
01:37Tennessee, the only two offenses in the country averaging 275 through the air and 250 on the
01:43ground. An interesting quarterback matchup this afternoon in South Bend for Riley Leonard.
01:47It's not his right arm. It's his two legs. For Tyler Shuck, it's not his legs. It's his
01:52right arm. What wins the day in South Bend this afternoon? By low spot on Riley Leonard,
01:56buck 16 and a half. Louisville last week first game against a power opponent allows Haynes
02:00King to throw for over 300 yards and nearly 10 yards per pass attempt here. I know Riley's
02:06done more damage on the ground and maybe is still banged up a little bit. You'd get one
02:10or two explosives and you can shoot through that low number. Yeah, he has to get over
02:14that total because Louisville is very good in run support, only giving up 92 rushing
02:19yards per game. He needs to get through that to stay in critical situation.
