00:05The artist cancelled her planned performances in Washington D.C. and New York this weekend
00:10as part of the All Things Go festival. The artist took to her Instagram story to share
00:14the news, writing,
00:15I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in New York City and D.C. this weekend
00:19at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past
00:24few weeks, and I am really feeling it.
00:26She continued, I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now, and I need a few
00:30days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows
00:35possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon.
00:38The cancellation comes on the heels of Roan receiving backlash online when she said she
00:42doesn't feel pressured to endorse Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election,
00:48because, quote, there's problems on both sides.
00:51The Hot To Go singer then clarified her comments after some criticized her for not encouraging
00:56her fan base to vote and others claiming she was a secret Trump supporter.
01:00F*** the policies of the right, but also f*** some of the policies on the left.
01:05That's why I can't endorse.
01:07However, she did share that she was, quote, voting for Kamala.
01:10Yeah, I'm voting for f***ing Kamala. F*** Trump. F***ing real. But f*** some of the
01:15shit that has gone down in the Democratic Party that has failed people like me and you.
01:20The singer also recently opened up about some people overstepping boundaries with the artist
01:25and working to find a balance between her health and career.
01:28My brain is like, quit right now. Take next year off. This industry and artistry thrive
01:33on mental illness, burnout, overworking yourself, overextending yourself, not sleeping. You get
01:38bigger the more unhealthy you are. Isn't that so f***ed up? The ambition is, how do I not hate
01:43myself, my job, my life and do this? Because right now it's not working. I'm just scrambling
01:48to try to feel healthy. For more on this story, head to THR.com. And for the latest entertainment
