Former NFL Quarterback Brett Favre reveals Parkinson's diagnosis. The NFL Hall of Famer revealed his diagnosis during a congressional hearing on Tuesday, testifying before the House Ways and Means Committee in the continued investigation of Mississippi's misuse of welfare funds. The former Green Bay Packers QB allegedly accepted more than $1 million in funds intended to go towards Mississippi's poorest families and reportedly pushed to allocate millions more into other projects of his associates. He has since paid back the money and has claimed no intentional wrongdoing, but while he has not faced any criminal charges, he is being sued by the state over interest fees built up on the misused funds. Favre disclosed his diagnosis in a statement testifying against state officials, emphasizing the impact of their own alleged carelessness in the scandal, saying 'I also lost an investment in a company that I believe was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others, and I'm sure you'll understand why it's too late for me, because I recently have been diagnosed with Parkinson's.' Artem Chigvintsev avoids criminal charges following domestic violence arrest. Just a few days shy of one month after his August 29 arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, it has been revealed Artem Chigvintsev will not be prosecuted. The ruling was announced by Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley on Tuesday, claiming that there was insufficient evidence to justify prosecution at this time, saying 'We are required to prove any and every criminal charge 'beyond a reasonable doubt' which is the highest standard in the American criminal justice system. If the available evidence doesn't rise to this level of proof, then we cannot ethically file charges.' National Daughter's Day is celebrated. September 25 is National Daughter's Day!
