00:00Hello!
00:02Do you need assistance?
00:04One of my favorite things about The Wild Robot is the powerful and emotional through-line.
00:08It's a story about a robot that gets marooned on an island with nothing other than wild animals.
00:16These animals want nothing to do with her and they consider her to be a monster.
00:19As sophisticated as she is, she is completely new in this environment.
00:24She starts looking for a task. That is what she's designed to do.
00:28She runs across a goose nest with one single egg.
00:32And now she's found her very first job.
00:37Their relationship is obviously mother and son and it just gets stronger and stronger throughout.
00:42It's all about humanity and family more than anything, which for me is everything.
00:49Here you go kid!
00:50It's kind of exploring the question of what is humanity and Roz is far more human than she thinks.
00:58Ready?
00:59I guess I have to be.
01:02This movie is not afraid to pull at your heart strings.
01:06Come on! Find that a-woo inside you!
01:10Searching!
01:11A-woo, woo, woo, woo!
01:13That needs a lot more work.
01:16We gathered an amazing cast for The Wild Robot.
01:18Chipper, I completed my task.
01:20Lupita really helped us understand getting to the heart of what her character is all about.
01:25Swimming's easy. I can teach him the way my mom taught me.
01:29Swim!
01:30Pedro, there was this sort of impish quality that he had.
01:34I have some essential needs, almost like a little kid.
01:37Just swimming!
01:38Kid brought Bright Bill to life. His delivery and feeling in his voice.
01:42Roz, I could use a boost.
01:45Was incredible.
01:49This film has been made with very loving hands.
01:54The look of the film was really based on this amazing illustrative style.
01:57It's a very beautiful collaboration of the old and the new.
02:01We can paint things like a painter would.
02:03Right now, we are their only chance.
02:06It's impressionistic, but it's more real.
02:10Roz is an unrelentingly kind character and kindness can be a survival skill.
02:16These characters, they're relatable, they're funny, they learn how to care about each other.
02:21Don't be afraid!
02:23People are going to really enjoy watching a robot learn how to be wild.
02:32I am a wild robot.
02:35Aggression detected.
