00:00Welcome everyone to Couch Potato Diary, happy Wednesday, my name is Peter Kline, thank you
00:10all very much for tuning in today, hopefully you enjoyed a little bit of bonus Flames talk.
00:16Again, make sure you subscribe to Game Over on Game Over Calgary on YouTube.
00:21Coming up on this show today, we have a little bit more NHL to get to as we look at teams
00:26that could go from worst-ish to first in the National Hockey League.
00:32And we're also going to look at NBA coaches on the hot seat going into this season, but
00:36we're going to begin the show with NFL Power Rankings.
00:39So, if you're hanging out here in the chat, make sure you hit follow.
00:42If you are watching this after on YouTube, make sure you hit subscribe.
00:45I mean, you could hit subscribe as well on Twitch, but I understand there's a financial
00:49component to that, and that's not necessarily everyone's jam.
00:52Let's get into it here today, and let's start with some NFL Power Rankings.
01:09Alright, it is that time of week where we run through every NFL team and see where they
01:14are at in the Power Rankings here.
01:19This one had quite a bit of change to it from last week, as there's kind of, I think, some
01:23course-correcting going on.
01:25And I will admit, maybe a little bit of over-correcting that is happening.
01:29There's a few teams that, maybe based off of just one bad performance, like,
01:33Kate, nope, this is where I actually want to have you, and so we're going to do that.
01:36Swig of water for the working men.
01:39And so that's kind of, there's a bit of bouncing around on this one today.
01:42So let's just get right into it.
01:44We will start at 32, at the very bottom.
01:46And I get they just won, but they have been so abysmal this season in their other two
01:50games that I just, I simply cannot.
01:53It is the Carolina Panthers.
01:54Yes, Andy Dalton came in and made this team look competent, and if he is able to ride
01:59that wave of momentum into even one more game where this team looks good, then I will probably
02:05move them out of the basement in the Power Rankings.
02:08But for now, they stuck there.
02:10I just, again, one change at quarterback does not make a team significantly more talented.
02:18There are still major issues on this team.
02:21Also, as we have seen over the last decade, a win over the Raiders doesn't mean that
02:26you are a more talented team, or a better team, or a good team, or even just a bad team.
02:33This has been a historically awful team.
02:36That game that they won against the Raiders on Sunday, it is the first time in over a
02:44year and a bit, like since I think it was week 18, 2022, was the last time that Carolina
02:51won a game while scoring more than 20 points.
02:55So a game that wasn't just stuck in the mud that they happened to kick an extra field
02:59goal in, that just shows you how bad it has been, is that this is the first time that
03:04with Bryce Young on the roster, and I get he wasn't starting, but with Bryce Young
03:08on the roster, this is the first time that they actually, you know, won a game while
03:13scoring more than 20 points.
03:16So it's been bad out in Carolina.
03:18At 31, it is the New England Patriots.
03:21They get an early season surprise win against the Cincinnati Bengals, in a win that is looking
03:27less and less impressive as the days go on out in Cincinnati.
03:31But for the Patriots, again, this is just a bad football team.
03:34And I cannot stress enough, the calls to bring Drake May in at quarterback for New England
03:40are ridiculous, and are just asking to get your young kid killed.
03:46There is, and you knew this would happen, you knew the Patients would run out with this
03:49fan base.
03:50Coming into the season, it is so easy to just say, yes, look, we know, this is going to
03:55be a bad year, so we gotta, we gotta let the kid just marinate.
03:58Let him, let him, you know what, it's a fancy term now, let him redshirt for a year.
04:03That's right, I played NCAA, I know what's up, let this kid redshirt for a year and grow
04:08into this role.
04:09And then you watch it for three weeks, and it sucks.
04:11It's like, ah, you know what, bring the kid in, let's get some excitement, let's get something
04:14fun in here.
04:15Let's do this.
04:16No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Patients.
04:18The reason, Jacoby Brissett is just kind of collateral damage right now.
04:26We understand, he is very limited in this or any offense.
04:30But the reason he is there is because you have nothing else around this kid.
04:35And you need to grow the foundation of this team before you throw him to the wolves.
04:40You cannot put him behind that offensive line.
04:42You cannot have him throwing to those weapons and all of a sudden just absolutely torpedoing
04:48any confidence you may have in him.
04:50And then you get all of those doubts come in, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
04:53blah, blah, blah.
04:54You just, you cannot.
04:55You simply cannot do that sort of a thing to that kid and let him go out there in that
05:02way.
05:03So, no.
05:04Just halt on your thoughts on bringing in Drake May as the quarterback for this team.
05:12At 30, it's Cleveland.
05:13This is one where I'm just done.
05:15You know, like, again, they, defensively, they do all these things and it's lovely.
05:20Offensively, it's just, it's so bad.
05:24And so this was my final, like, okay, no, that's it.
05:27I can't.
05:28I can't.
05:29I can't.
05:30They scored one, they scored two touchdowns against the New York Giants.
05:34The first one was off of a fumble at the Giants 25-yard line that Cleveland was able to pick
05:40up in, like, two plays later.
05:43They're in the end zone.
05:45So their one touchdown drive was 25 yards.
05:47At the beginning of the game, the other defense wasn't really expecting to have to come on
05:51the field and was a little bit shell-shocked at what the hell just happened.
05:54So no, I cannot, I cannot take this team seriously anymore.
05:57They are an absolute tire fire and with the Deshaun Watson contract, they are just beyond
06:03help right now.
06:05At 29, it's the New York Giants.
06:06Yes, they beat Cleveland.
06:08I just went over why that is not impressive to me.
06:10They now have a game coming up on Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.
06:13That will be a little bit interesting to see how that game actually plays out and how that
06:17game goes along.
06:18Quite fascinated, actually, to see what that game kind of looks like.
06:22But yes, they get a win.
06:23Malik Nabors looks like an absolute force.
06:26But there are still so many things wrong with this football team that I'm not going to,
06:30I'm not going to overreact to a win against a team who I have in the bottom three.
06:35And joining the Giants in the bottom five, yes, they got a win, but it is the Denver
06:38Broncos.
06:39They get a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who I found, and as we discussed on Monday,
06:44maybe I was overrating a touch.
06:46And so we have knocked them kind of down in the, knocked them down in the ratings, so
06:50to speak, here, Tampa Bay.
06:52But for Denver, it's nice to see Bo Nix getting a little bit more comfortable.
06:55And you can start to see some of the stuff that Sean Payton probably sees in Bo Nix and
07:01some of the potential that there might be.
07:02I still don't think the kid's that good.
07:05But you at least see what it could be instead of the disaster that it has been for the first
07:12couple of weeks.
07:13So maybe some room for growth for the Denver Broncos moving forward.
07:16So to recap, the bottom five, Carolina is worst, followed by New England, Cleveland,
07:22the Giants, and Denver.
07:24Just outside of the top five, my favorite team, the Vegas Raiders.
07:28An absolutely abysmal performance on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers has this team
07:34now at 27th in the rankings.
07:36Gardner Minshew, again, continues to baffle with some bad plays.
07:40The team just quits at different times, which is not something they can do with this coach.
07:45They cannot run the ball.
07:46They have some very good pass catchers.
07:48Defensively, a few olés out there on Sunday.
07:52This is a very flawed team.
07:54And I think that result against Baltimore is going to be one of the more perplexing
07:57as the season goes along.
07:59At 26, it's Chicago.
08:01This is another one where it was, I've had them a little bit higher, and okay, maybe,
08:04maybe, maybe.
08:05We've had three weeks.
08:06I have confirmed, it's bad.
08:08The defense is very good.
08:09The offense is very bad.
08:11Caleb Williams, I don't think is as limited as it is showing.
08:13I actually think there's, there have been signs that there is an exciting quarterback
08:18there.
08:19Um, but I mean, Sam Darnold showed that in his first year, and I'm not saying Caleb
08:23Williams is going to be Sam Darnold, although the way it's going right now, Chicago wishes.
08:28But there's just, there are so many issues on the offensive line.
08:33And they, again, cannot run the ball, and the receivers keep getting hurt.
08:36But the offensive line is the major issue up there right now.
08:38At 25, it's the Tennessee Titans.
08:41They kind of have the opposite problem, where I actually think most of the things with this
08:45team are working pretty well.
08:47It's just the quarterback continues to make some really, really, really bad plays.
08:51And some really boneheaded mistakes.
08:53And it leads to an interesting conversation out in Tennessee.
08:56And we kind of talked about this a little bit on Monday, but what do you do?
09:00Because I do think the rest of this roster is actually pretty good.
09:03And we have kind of seen this division, Jacksonville and Indianapolis, they're going to come up
09:08here pretty quick.
09:10And even Houston at the top, we think Houston is a very good team, but they have looked
09:14like a very good team for approximately, what, five quarters of the season so far?
09:18So it's not like this is just completely out of reach, although at 0-3 maybe it feels like
09:23it.
09:24But this is certainly a team that I think, if you had just average quarterback play,
09:30you could maybe make some noise here.
09:32But again, you want to see what you have in Will Levis, you want to let the kid develop
09:36a little bit more than maybe he has.
09:39And you also don't just want to finish at 7-10, right?
09:43You want to either be a playoff team, or you want this thing to go just absolutely shit
09:49awful.
09:50And now you are able to go out and draft another quarterback in the first round and continue
09:55the progression that way.
09:57Because I do think that that thing we talk about always in team building, for bringing
10:01in a young piece, bringing in a young quarterback, and allowing him to kind of thrive, they actually
10:07have that out in Tennessee.
10:10And that is, I think, a very positive thing for the Tennessee Titans, if they wanted to
10:14go out and get one of the kids in the draft this year.
10:18At 24, it is the Washington Commanders.
10:21That is a good win on Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.
10:25And Daniels has shown a lot of the positives and a lot of the negatives around his game,
10:30but I think, of the young quarterbacks so far, he has shown that there is maybe, like,
10:37he has shown the most upside, and the most reason for optimism.
10:40I do not think that will continue, like, I do think Caleb Williams ends up being the
10:44best quarterback in this draft.
10:45But this kid is legit, and he is so much fun, and I think it's going to be really interesting
10:50to see what he does.
10:52Because again, you're talking about this division, the Giants, we've already talked about them,
10:55so that means they're bad.
10:57The Dallas Cowboys have been dreadful.
10:59We're talking about them pretty soon.
11:01And the Philadelphia Eagles have a couple of wins, but they have looked convincing in
11:05none of them.
11:06So there is, I'm not saying Washington to go out and win the division, that's not what
11:09I'm saying.
11:10This defense is just awful.
11:13Probably the worst defense in the league, I would say.
11:15Ah, Carolina exists.
11:17Bottom three defense in the league, I will say.
11:19But with Jaden Daniels out there, we saw for the first couple of weeks, that's why we go
11:23over a lot of those stats that we go over on the Friday preview, where they are going
11:27out there, they are putting up some yards, like the EPA per play was good.
11:33You had the offensive success rate was good.
11:37It was just they weren't putting the ball into the end zone.
11:39But they were clearly moving the football, there was just a point where it stopped.
11:43And now against Cincinnati, it did not stop.
11:46And so now, there is an opportunity for this to grow, and for you to actually get pretty
11:50excited about some stuff going on out in Washington.
11:53At 23, it is the Indianapolis Colts.
11:56I have been frustrated at times with this team.
11:59Yes, a win over Chicago is lovely, and it's nice to have won your first game of the season.
12:05But it is another game where Anthony Richardson doesn't look good.
12:08It is another game where your defense kind of picks on a opposition that is pick-on-able,
12:14I guess.
12:15And is a game where also, you are not necessarily just absolutely blowing teams out of the water,
12:22in a way that maybe you should have.
12:23So yes, the Colts win.
12:25No, they do not look impressive.
12:26At 22, it is Jacksonville.
12:28I talked about this with Logan Gordon on Sportsnet 960 when I joined him the other day.
12:34This is such a disappointing team.
12:38Doug Peterson, we have seen now in a couple of stops, Doug Peterson teams get worse over
12:43time, not better.
12:44And that is happening here.
12:46But the roster construction around this team is so weird, where, um, like, I think Thomas
12:51is legit.
12:52I think that there is something there with this kid.
12:55But that's the only weapon they have.
12:56And defensively, I think they're fine.
12:59But this team just doesn't have enough around Trevor Lawrence.
13:02And I guess, saying defensively, they're fine, when Josh Allen just took their lunch money
13:06on Monday is, you know, a choice.
13:08But we will see how they are able to kind of build off, or try to recover from that.
13:13But holy hell, I think this is just a bad football team.
13:16At 21, it's the Dallas Cowboys.
13:18It is time to sound the alarm.
13:20And again, do not, do not look at that fourth quarter and think, oh no, this team's got
13:26it.
13:27They are right there.
13:28Baltimore 100% took their foot off the gas, and also, Baltimore is not traditionally,
13:33the last couple of years, the best closer.
13:36Which is strange.
13:37But still, I have tried to make it a rule this year to not, like, make a play on the
13:43Thursday night game.
13:45There is something.
13:46And we talked about it with Conrad in the chat yesterday.
13:48There's just something in the back of my head that's like, you know what, this just,
13:51this feels like a spot where Dallas really fucks it up.
13:55I, like, a lot with Thursday night is which team handles that quick turnaround the best.
14:01Which comes down to coaching.
14:03And I have said, into any microphone that anyone will let me talk into, I think Mike
14:07McCarthy is the most overrated coach in the National Football League right now.
14:12I think it's him and Sean Payton.
14:13They are neck and neck in that race.
14:17And so, I do think that the Giants having the coaching edge going into Thursday is an
14:25interesting situation.
14:27I just, like, Dallas right now, Dak Prescott has had some very good regular season games,
14:33for sure.
14:34But again, A, he doesn't have a whole lot to work with.
14:36CeeDee Lamb is great, but after that, like, they cannot run the football at all.
14:40The offensive line isn't as good as we've seen it there in the past, and there's no
14:43one else to throw to on this team.
14:45And defensively, they have a couple of studs, but they have a few duds as well.
14:49And like, they just got bullied by Baltimore in the first three quarters of that game.
14:53So I think major concerns going on out in Dallas.
14:56Toxic, with a question in the chat, is Trevor Lawrence the franchise quarterback we all
14:59thought he was, or is it the weapons around him that is the problem?
15:03I, Toxic, I have gone back and forth on this quite a bit over the last little while.
15:11And truthfully, I don't really know.
15:15I, which is not a great answer for Sports Talk.
15:17I know, I know, you come here for the, oh, we'll see.
15:21I think you look at some of the stuff that he is missing, and you look at some of the
15:25things that he is not doing on a consistent basis at this point, and it is tough for me
15:32to say he is a franchise quarterback.
15:34I think that he is a fine quarterback, probably even peaks at a pretty good quarterback.
15:40But to say he is a great quarterback or a franchise quarterback is just simply not the
15:44case.
15:45I think when you look at Josh Allen, franchise quarterback, he is a guy who has gone out
15:51there and just lit the world on fire with nothing around him.
15:55And I get they are built differently, but we aren't just in year one and two for Trevor
15:59Lawrence anymore.
16:01We are kind of at a point where that development was supposed to have happened.
16:05And like, I don't think he came in in the best situation with Urban Meyer and with all
16:11of those things, right?
16:13But like, he joined Jacksonville in 2021.
16:19We are kind of through, like, he's played 53 games in the National Football League here
16:24this season, and in those years, 3-14 with Urban Meyer, a disaster.
16:28But the 9-8, and 8-8, oh, he didn't play one game.
16:33Now, we kind of wrote it all off as injuries last year, but again, the weapons have not
16:38been there.
16:39But he is not making the most out of those things.
16:42And you just see some of the throws that he is still missing, some of the decisions
16:46that he's still making.
16:47I think that, and look, I just did it a couple of minutes ago.
16:52It is a bit of a cop-out to say, look, he doesn't have these weapons.
16:55Yes, they should have surrounded him with something better by now.
16:59But also, I don't think he has done anything to elevate any of those weapons or to elevate
17:04this team.
17:05So while they could have built a better team around him, he also, I think, should be better
17:10at this point, and was expected to be better at this point, if we were going to be looking
17:15at him in that rarefied air.
17:17If you just want, like, if you just drafted him, and if the thought around him was like,
17:21you know what?
17:22This is going to be a good quarterback in this league for 15 years, then you're probably
17:25not that bummed with what he's been.
17:27But the thought was, this is the best quarterback prospect we've had since Andrew Luck.
17:32And honestly, probably the best, if we're being truthful to ourselves, the best quarterback
17:36we've had since, um, quarterback prospect we've had since Peyton Manning.
17:42That's the rarefied air we're talking about.
17:43That is the level with which he is judged on, and he has not shown that, honestly, for
17:49a moment.
17:50Like, there hasn't been one game, one month, one season, anything, where it has been like,
17:57okay, this is the Trevor Lawrence we thought we would be getting.
18:00And yes, you need help to do that, yes, you need to end up in the right situations.
18:04But at some point, it's also on you.
18:07Rant over.
18:08Um, moving on.
18:10At 20, it is the Miami Dolphins.
18:13And I think, speaking of quarterbacks, and oh, do you know what?
18:16It's just the weapons.
18:17It's just, well, a lot of weapons out in Miami.
18:20Skylar Thompson didn't do diddly squat with them, and we're not expecting Tim Boyle to
18:24do diddly squat with them.
18:25So, ergo, let's be nicer to Tua, hey?
18:29Because Tua, when he is at the helm of this offense, at least at times, it looks like
18:34one of the most dominant offenses you can have in the NFL.
18:38That has not been the case with these guys.
18:40Put Trevor Lawrence with this team, they'd probably look pretty good.
18:43But do they get to the heights of Tua?
18:44I don't know.
18:45But right now, it looks abysmal out there.
18:48And they, like, the defense kind of got carved up a little bit by Seattle as well.
18:53But no, it is very bad out in Miami.
18:56So they are down in the, toward the bottom third of the league, at number 20.
19:00At number 19, it's the Cincinnati Bengals, who, apparently, Emily Sadler on 960 yesterday
19:06talked about how they have always started slow and then built up.
19:10Well, it's got to get going.
19:13And now, like, you have already, if there was a year to not start slow, it would have
19:18been this one.
19:19Now, if you had a year where it would have been difficult to not start slow, it also
19:22would have been this one.
19:23Because you have all of these great pieces on this team, but all of them are pissed off.
19:28You have Chase and Higgins, who are big mad because their contract situation super sucks.
19:34And you also have Joe Burrow, who can hardly grip a water bottle.
19:39And so, you kind of needed to shut up a lot of that noise with good starts to the season
19:43here.
19:44And now, it is, it's 0-3.
19:47But it's not just that it's 0-3.
19:49Losing to the Kansas City Chiefs is not something to get upset about, right?
19:56And they were at Arrowhead.
19:57That is difficult.
19:59But, like, best, you had to be, if you were Cincinnati, you had to be looking at this
20:02schedule to start the year, and say, at WORST, 2-1.
20:07At WORST 2-1.
20:09Because they were home New England, at Arrowhead, home Washington.
20:16You simply cannot lose TWO of those games.
20:19Three!
20:20Three?
20:210-3!
20:23When you have your first two home games of the year against New England and Washington,
20:29and Jacoby Brissett and Jayden Daniels whooped ya, whooped would be a bit of an overstatement,
20:35but they beat ya, that's, that's a problem.
20:39That is a big problem.
20:40That is alarm bells going anywhere.
20:42You know, like, they are three games back of Pittsburgh for first place in this division,
20:46which means, I haven't looked at buys, but it is at least week six or week seven before
20:52you even catch up to them and get to 500.
20:55In a conference that does feel a little bit wide open, right, like, there are a couple
20:59of teams here in the bottom part of this list that maybe we weren't expecting, right, like,
21:04we did not think, coming into this year, that Miami would be down at 20 in the power rankings
21:09at any point.
21:11And I think you had to assume one of Jacksonville, Indy, and Tennessee would probably be a little
21:15bit higher than they are.
21:16But there are still a lot of very good teams in this conference, and it is going to be
21:20difficult to work your way through the sewage right now that you have built and get there.
21:25I think, again, we are getting that reminder that Cincinnati is actually a poorly run franchise
21:30that just happened to get Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase, but haven't been able to build off
21:34of it since.
21:36Coming in at 18, it is the LA Rams, who continue to battle, they continue to win, and they
21:42continue to really, really impress me.
21:44And drive me crazy, as someone who has an under on their win total.
21:47We still are feeling alright about that, because the injuries that they have had on this team,
21:53but Matthew Stafford is, like, this is one of the more impressive seasons he has had.
21:57He is basically just seeing the Honolulu Blue out there, with Detroit, it's like, alright,
22:01yeah, this is like, some of my years in Detroit, where if Calvin Johnson went down, I had Brandon
22:05Pettigrew, and that is, that's an issue.
22:14I do think that this team will falter, and I do think that there are going to be issues
22:18with this club going forward, but right now, they are battling and scratching and clawing.
22:22How do you not love this Rams team?
22:24At 17, it's the Chargers, maybe a bit more of a fall than they deserved, but offensively,
22:29it is a little stuck in the mud, and with the injury concerns around Justin Herbert,
22:33that gives you big concerns about this team.
22:36Giving up 20 points against Pittsburgh isn't all that to get worried about, it was the
22:40first time that the defense was exposed maybe a little bit.
22:43Very interesting test this week against the Kansas City Chiefs, for a Chargers defense
22:47that has looked good, but again, they have looked good against Gardner Minshew, Bryce
22:52Young, and to a certain degree, Justin Fields.
22:56Bit different this week, so I will be tempted to see who they come up with, or what type
23:02of an effort they come up with, sorry, in this matchup here against Kansas City, and
23:08also, like, how Justin Herbert is doing, and what he is able to do in a potentially
23:17limited capacity, given the injury issues that he has.
23:20At 16, it's Arizona.
23:21Bumped down a little bit, but still, I am so excited about this team, and I am so excited
23:27that we have an Arizona to make the playoffs ticket at plus, I believe it was plus 700,
23:31even, you know what, I said we weren't clicking on it, but a little bit of a sprinkle, a little
23:36sprinkle on Arizona, plus 1100 to win that division, and it's not out of the woods yet!
23:41So there's an opportunity there to grow this thing, and put something together.
23:46But I think this Arizona offense is so much fun to watch.
23:49With Collarmore doing his thing, yes, he was bottled up a little bit, and that is what
23:52can happen when he gets contained.
23:55And when the dogs are barking.
23:56I don't know if you could hear that outside, but my dog is LOSING it.
23:59I'm assuming the male is here.
24:01But I do think that there is some room for growth, obviously, with Harrison.
24:05We'll see about the injury to McBride, that does suck, and a little bit scary from that
24:10sense, but Connor is looking good, and I think they're going to continue to work in Benson,
24:14and even DiMarcato, into this offense going forward, and Wilson!
24:17I told you guys before, watch out for him, because he is starting to get a few more snaps
24:20in this offense, and get a few things going, so I am excited to see what this Arizona offense
24:25can do.
24:26And defensively, again, it hasn't been as bad as it was last year, or even as bad as
24:29we anticipated.
24:30Now again, that is against a Rams team that was banged up, that is against a Detroit Lions
24:35offense that has kind of stumbled so far, and has not really looked great.
24:39And so that is a concern, I think, for this team, is that the one good offense they faced,
24:46they kind of got carved up against.
24:47I do think Detroit ends up being a good offense, they're just not playing like one right now.
24:50So we'll see what they're able to do.
24:52At 15, it is New Orleans.
24:53I will not lie to you, I took great glee in dropping New Orleans down in the power rankings
24:59this week.
25:00I think this week showed some of the vulnerabilities of this team.
25:04When Derek Carr faces pressure at all, he is an entirely different quarterback.
25:08We talked about it with the stats from Warren Sharpe in the preseason, he is just not that
25:13guy.
25:14And Olave is great.
25:16And Kamara is great.
25:17And so this offense I do think will be better than I thought.
25:20But when they are not able to stretch the ball with Shaheed, when Derek Carr doesn't
25:23have a month and a half in the pocket, this thing does kind of get bogged down a little
25:27bit.
25:28Again, the defense is legit, but the offense was a house of cards, and I do not think that
25:32it is, well, it's certainly not as good as it looked in the first couple of games
25:36of the season.
25:37But they had so many issues with this Philadelphia Eagles defense.
25:44And their defense gave them so many opportunities, right?
25:47You think of the turnovers that Hurts had, and the fumbles, and the short fields that
25:52New Orleans had, and they were not able to capitalize, I think that is very telling for
25:56this team.
25:57Hey Deeds, appreciate it.
25:59Look, not everyone can be super active in the chat all the time.
26:02You are very active in the chat always.
26:04So lurking is perfectly fine.
26:06I'm happy to, any lurker is more than welcome here.
26:10I've done it on more than a few streams as well.
26:13So no, greatly appreciate you hanging out and listening today.
26:18Coming in at 14, it is Tampa Bay.
26:22Back down to earth a little bit.
26:23Like I said, this was a bit of a wake-up call, like, okay, I'm overrating this team a little
26:27bit.
26:28There is still some consistency issues they may have.
26:30There is still a bit of a concern that they might have with some stuff on the defensive
26:36side.
26:37And when they're not kind of dictating how the offense is going, there's some problems
26:41there.
26:42Also, I think it was very noteworthy how Denver was able to take Mike Evans out of that game.
26:47And now, Godwin has a good game, but they are better when both guys are going, right?
26:52I know, in-depth football analysis, when a team's number one receiver can get going,
26:57the offense is better.
26:59Huge, huge genre-breaking stuff here today on Couch Potato Diary.
27:03But no, it's a good team, but I think 14 is probably right around where they should be.
27:07Just a middle-of-the-pack squad.
27:09At 13, it's Atlanta.
27:11So can you tell that I'm having some trouble in the NFC South, with Atlanta, Tampa Bay,
27:14and New Orleans stacked up at 13, 14, and 15?
27:18But Atlanta, like, again, they came very close against the Kansas City Chiefs, and they put
27:23on a decent performance.
27:26And Kirk Cousins, again, taking what the defense gives him, allowing Mooney to kind of go out
27:31and get his.
27:32But I do think that this is still a limited football team.
27:37And now, Cousins has been kind of getting better as the weeks have gone on, and getting
27:41a little bit more comfortable.
27:42So maybe a little bit of that continues with this Atlanta team, but I do think that there
27:46is a ceiling to what they can do.
27:49At 12, it's Pittsburgh.
27:51I'm buying in more and more.
27:52I think this is the best defense in the league, and you guys know, if you were listening to
27:55me last year, I, Justin Fields is my I-can't-quit-you man.
28:00I wish the Raiders would have got him, I thought Atlanta probably should have got him, but
28:04now as he is getting a little bit more comfortable in this Pittsburgh offense, and they're getting
28:07a little bit more comfortable with him, I do think that it's starting to make this team
28:11look more and more dangerous.
28:13Calvin Austin has a big day in fantasy and in real life as well, Pickens is quite talented,
28:19they got a good two-headed monster in the running back room, offensive line is alright,
28:24but the play-calling still is frustrating, and it does kind of scream, like I was listening
28:28to a podcast, and a Steelers fan goes into a coma midway through last season, wakes up
28:34and sees that game on Sunday, it's like, oh, Matt Cannon is still here, okay, because the
28:38changes have not really been, it's very run-heavy, and it's very limiting for this team, but
28:44I think Justin Fields is semi-legit.
28:46Now, do they keep with him?
28:49Because Russell Wilson, I think, would be a pretty big downgrade to this team, and would
28:53be a bit of a concern going forward for them, but I do think that Fields getting more comfort,
28:59hopefully they're getting more comfortable with him, and just keep riding with him, because
29:01this is a team that could actually surprise some people out in the AFC.
29:0711, just ahead of them, but just outside of the top 10, the Baltimore Ravens.
29:11Yes, they get a win, but this is now becoming a very concerning pattern, where late-game
29:16situations just do not go their way.
29:19They failed to kill the clock in a number of situations, they got one first down that
29:25they needed, and they finally got it, but to have some of the issues in putting Dallas
29:32away that they had is still a little bit concerning to me.
29:36I would love for Baltimore to go out and just be able to really put that nail in the coffin,
29:41and it's just, it's frustrating, because you see what this team is supposed to be, and
29:44for a lot of times they are that, but you go back to the game last year against Kansas
29:48City, and you go back to a couple of these games, like they had a 10-point lead on the
29:52Raiders, and they couldn't put that game away.
29:55They have a gigantic lead against Dallas, and they have to sweat it out at the end.
30:01This is a run team.
30:02Lamar Jackson is a running quarterback.
30:04You signed Derrick Henry as a power runner.
30:06You even have Justice Hill, who is good at running the football.
30:10Just go into your strengths, and just for whatever reason, they go away from it, and
30:14they try to prove that they're not just that team.
30:17If you just, life advice here, just be who you are.
30:20Be the best version of yourself, and good things will happen.
30:23That is what should be going on with Baltimore right now, and it's just not.
30:26At 10, it is the Minnesota Vikings.
30:28I'm ready to buy in on the Vikings.
30:30Sam Darnold is showing what he, is finally showing what he was capable of.
30:36Maybe not necessarily.
30:37But he's looked good in three weeks, and this offense hasn't been that bad.
30:40But the reason you buy into this team is because of how damn good this defense is.
30:45Brian Flores is coaching up one hell of a defense.
30:48They have some guys who are making some really big plays.
30:50And Minnesota looks like they are just miserable to play against.
30:55And again, as this team gets a little bit healthier, Hawkinson expected to come back
30:58at some point.
30:59That's another weapon for Darnold to play with.
31:01Aaron Jones has been great.
31:02Ty Chandler is a little bit interesting in that backfield.
31:05And Jefferson, when healthy, is the best wide receiver in football.
31:08So you are looking at a team that actually now has a few things that they can put together,
31:12and is a little bit interesting going forward.
31:14At 9, it's the San Francisco 49ers.
31:16It is two troubling losses in a row to lose that game to the LA Rams.
31:21And again, another late game situation for Kyle Shanahan, where he tries to get a little
31:26bit too cute throwing the ball, has some trouble running the clock out, and allows another
31:29team to get back into it.
31:30Where have we heard this before?
31:3128-3.
31:32So, I think that there is real cause for concern out in San Francisco.
31:37The Iuke situation, and the lack of opportunities he is getting, is just weird at this point.
31:42And it's something we brought up in the preseason.
31:45This team was incredibly healthy last year.
31:48And while we do not hold that against you, we do also understand that that can change.
31:53And regression in that world is hitting them like a ton of bricks right now.
31:57CMC hasn't played it down for this team this year.
31:59George Kittle is back at practice this week, but he's missed some time.
32:02Trent Williams got a little bit banged up in that game.
32:04Fred Warner was slow to get up on a play in the last game as well.
32:07It just is piling on and piling on.
32:10The one good takeaway I think you can take from this is it does look like Brock Purdy
32:15is playing some pretty good football.
32:17And some pretty good football.
32:19And that is, I mean, it's going to get complicated when they have to pay him, but that is something
32:23that I think they can really look forward to, is that he feels like a legitimate quarterback
32:27now in this league.
32:29At 8, it's Houston.
32:30I still buy into the talent.
32:31I think they have talent on the defense.
32:33I think they have talent on the offense.
32:34It just hasn't meshed so far this year.
32:37And aside from one game against the Indianapolis Colts.
32:40And defensively against Chicago where, again, you send one rusher and you explode their
32:46entire game plan, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're a very good defense.
32:50So they have struggled in that area.
32:52And I have concerns, so that's why I have them down at 8, but I can't put them below
32:58this next, I couldn't put them below San Francisco, given the issues they had.
33:02And while I am buying into teams like Minnesota and Pittsburgh, I can't put Houston below
33:05them because I still think the talent is so much better.
33:08I do think this kind of figures itself out and this kind of rounds into form, but it's
33:13looked a little concerning in the first few weeks.
33:15At 7, it's Detroit.
33:16Kind of the same thing here, right?
33:18Of course the year I buy in on Detroit, they have had one good game and a couple question
33:23marks.
33:24They beat Arizona, but again, a weird 2 minute warning thing away from a pick 6, and an offense
33:30that did not put up the numbers that you would think they could against an Arizona defense
33:34that is limited.
33:35They needed a nice little trick play to Jamar Gibbs to get this offense rolling.
33:40That concerns me against Arizona.
33:42But I like the weapons, I like the quarterback, love the coach, and I think the defense has
33:46some pretty intriguing pieces.
33:49It just hasn't clicked so far this year, and it's getting a little concerning, but I can't
33:53knock them out of the top 10, yet.
33:55At 6, it is the Seattle Seahawks.
33:58I am buying all in on Seattle.
34:00We said before that bringing in the coaches that they did helps to change this defense
34:06and kind of maximize what they have on the defensive side of the football with guys like
34:10Murphy, guys like Weatherspoon, and some of those exciting young players that have brought
34:13real good defensive football back to Seattle.
34:16But the pace that they're playing with on offense, and it's not like breakneck.
34:19This isn't Oregon from way back in the day.
34:24This is, but it's a normal NFL pace, and that's not something we saw from this team last year.
34:29And we have seen, while it's been frustrating and fantasy to figure out between JSN and
34:33Tyler Lockett, Charbonnet is a talented running back.
34:37When Kenneth Walker comes back, he's a beast.
34:39You have DK Metcalf, who is a stud.
34:41There's a lot of really talented pieces on this team, and Geno Smith has kind of found
34:45it again.
34:46So, Seattle, at 6, I'm a believer.
34:49This one pains me a little bit, but just coming off of how dominant it looked, I do have to
34:54put the Jets at 5.
34:56It has been, I have not been a believer in the New York Jets.
35:00But that version of Aaron Rodgers that we saw on Thursday, kind of makes you think that
35:05maybe this team is for real, because that was the one thing holding me back, is that
35:08I thought Aaron Rodgers was cooked.
35:10And maybe he is.
35:11A game against New England doesn't really mean you're not.
35:15But this team doesn't really have the most challenging of schedules going forward, and
35:19again, the talent on the defense is insane.
35:20The talent on the offense, we didn't even know that they had a Braylon Allen, and now
35:24he is lighting the world on fire as well.
35:26Allen Lazard is becoming a very good kind of safety valve if there is some double coverage
35:32on Wilson, or something like that.
35:33This is a very complete team.
35:35I think the coach is a little bleh, and I think the quarterback, I wouldn't want to
35:40hang out with him.
35:41But, for now, it is kind of clicking for the Jets.
35:44We will see as they face a little bit more resistance, I do think that this spot at 5
35:49is a little temporary, but I do think that this is a team that, despite my best efforts
35:55to convince myself otherwise, is probably going to make the playoffs in the AFC.
35:58At 4, I have Green Bay.
36:00I have been so impressed with the Green Bay Packers being able to work their way through
36:04this stretch with no Jordan Love.
36:08With Malik Willis going out there and putting up some numbers.
36:11And really, you look at it, they could have very easily won that game against Philadelphia.
36:15And if that was on a regular field instead of a slip and slide track, then maybe they
36:20do win that game against the Eagles.
36:22But to come out and get two wins with your backup quarterback, who everyone thought sucked,
36:29and still might, but still, to get a couple of wins out of that, Matt LeFleur is moving
36:35up the coaching genius ranks, for sure.
36:37And that has been really, it's been fun to watch so far.
36:40And it has been, it just makes you think that there is a real complete team here.
36:46And again, the thing, we talk about it a lot, but this defense has played well.
36:50And that was a very big cause of concern last year for them.
36:53At 3, it's Philadelphia.
36:55It hasn't looked overly convincing, but the defense kind of changing things up a little
36:59bit and playing a strong game against New Orleans, I think, wakes them up and again,
37:05there's talent.
37:06Vic Fangio is a very good defensive coach.
37:08He does tend to have a bit of a complex system, and that does take a little bit of time to
37:13work in.
37:14So I do think, again, this defense gets better as they go along.
37:17That Hurts still worries me, but to come up with that win when you basically only have
37:23Goddard and Saquon Barkley is really impressive.
37:27And we're assuming Brown's going to come back at some point, hopefully you have Smith able
37:31to come back as well after that dangerous hit on Sunday.
37:34There's still so many pieces to like about Philadelphia.
37:37At 2, it's Buffalo.
37:38This has been so much better than anyone thought it was going to be through three weeks of
37:43the season that Josh Allen is playing at a full MVP level.
37:48And actually, let's just take a look real quick here at maybe a future or two on Josh
37:54Allen because this team is looking significantly better than I thought they were going to this
38:00year with some of the weapons they got away from, but Josh Allen has totally found another
38:04level.
38:05Also, I did not realize how much light my notes were providing me instead of just going
38:08to this all black screen.
38:11So yes, let's go futures.
38:12Let's go awards.
38:15Josh Allen tied with Patrick Mahomes at plus 275 for the lead for MVP.
38:20And then the next closest is CJ Stroud at plus 1500.
38:23So they know, they know.
38:25An interesting one here is Marvin Harrison Jr. at plus 450 to win Offensive Rookie of
38:30the Year.
38:31Daniels right now is the favorite.
38:32Neighbors is ahead of him, but I wonder if Marvin Harrison Jr. starts to pull away at
38:36some point.
38:37So a little bit interesting out there.
38:39There's maybe a couple of futures to take a look at.
38:41Oh, there we go.
38:42The light's back.
38:43But no.
38:44Buffalo, what they have been able to do.
38:45A, with the injuries they have on defense, their defense has been shutting teams down
38:48with the exception of Arizona, but no one can.
38:50And offensively, when you have taken away the weapons from Josh Allen that he had taken
38:56away from him, then I do think that this is something you can get really excited about
39:01for Buffalo as they continue to figure out, okay, who should go where and who fits in
39:05where.
39:06But I still think that they have a little bit more with James Cook that they can unlock
39:10as well.
39:11So a really fun team in Buffalo.
39:12But at number one, it has to be the Kansas City Chiefs.
39:14I can't come on here two weeks in a row and tell you guys to calm down.
39:18Kansas City is still the best team in the league and then not put them as the best team
39:21in the league.
39:22Defensively, they come up with big stops when they need it.
39:24Offensively, they come up with big plays when they need it.
39:26We know that they are playing with their food a little bit and know it has not looked perfect
39:29after the Baltimore game, but make no mistake about it.
39:33This is still the best team in the National Football League and is still a team that should
39:38be taken very seriously and should be at number one in the power rankings.
39:42Let me know in the chat if you guys have any disagreements with any of the rankings or
39:46if I went 32-1, perfect scores.
39:49If you're watching this later on YouTube, let me know in the comments what you think.
39:52People have not been shy about comments on my things lately.
39:55Some people not thrilled with the Shohei Otani take from the other day, but nonetheless,
40:00always fun chatting with all of you guys.
40:01Okay, now it's time to get into the preview section of the program today as we continue
40:06on with the NHL and NBA previews.
40:08Still to come, we're going to be looking at coaches on the hot seat in the NBA, but
40:12first, let's take a look at teams that can make the jump in the NHL from worst-ish to
40:16first in the NHL for the upcoming season.
40:26Alright, um, the NHL season is very rapidly approaching.
40:31Preseason games are already underway, and so we are getting into the crunch time of
40:34it.
40:35And so today, I want to look at the teams that we think can make that jump from worst
40:40to first.
40:41Now, this is different from the, like, I do this in the NFL, um, and it's different because
40:47there are eight divisions that we can run through.
40:50And so it's, you know, you have the choice of one through eight.
40:52Um, but with this, there's four.
40:54And I like to do lists of five, and so just the math doesn't work.
40:57And so, I have altered it slightly to make it teams that can go from the worst two to
41:02first in their division in the NHL this year.
41:06And so we start at number five.
41:08Um, oh hey, Soham04, how's it going?
41:12Thanks for popping in today, really appreciate it.
41:14And thanks for the follow!
41:15Um, I really do appreciate that.
41:16Thank you very much.
41:17We're talking some NHL right now.
41:19Teams that have a chance to go from worst two in their division to first in the NHL.
41:24And I'm going to start with the Anaheim Ducks.
41:27They come in at number five.
41:28And they're at five because they are in a difficult division.
41:31It would be slightly miraculous if they were able to pull this off.
41:35With Vegas in the division, with, um, Edmonton, and Vancouver, and the Kings, and all of those
41:40teams.
41:41Very talented division, be the, uh, the Pacific.
41:44But I do think, when you look at Anaheim, there is a real opportunity here for some
41:49of these kids to finally, like, progress and really work into that role.
41:52Uh, we saw on the Flames video game stream what John Gibson is capable of doing, uh,
41:56but they have so many really exciting young pieces.
41:59It just feels like now's the time.
42:01It kind of felt like last year might have been, but injuries really did slow this group
42:04up.
42:05But, you now have some very good, very exciting young pieces that can take this jump.
42:11And so if there is a team, like, that is kind of the recipe, right?
42:14Like you have some injury problems.
42:17You have, and honestly, I think some of the young players have kind of outplayed their
42:20stats anyway.
42:21Um, but you have some young pieces that are ready to take that big step all at the same
42:26time.
42:27And so that is why I think Anaheim can be one of those teams.
42:30And so, putting them in worst to first does maybe feel a little bit exaggerated, uh, but
42:35I do want to put them on this list as a team that I think can make a big jump this year.
42:39At four, I have Chicago.
42:41Um, yes, the Central Division.
42:43Stacked.
42:44Right?
42:45You have Dallas.
42:46You have Colorado.
42:47I still think Winnipeg is going to be good.
42:48Nashville, kind of loaded up this year.
42:50But the Chicago Blackhawks now get a full year of Conor Bedard, we assume.
42:53They have gone out and added some better veteran pieces around.
42:56You are going to get, presumably, a full year of health from Taylor Hall to go along
43:00with the Bertuzzi that you add.
43:02And you now have, like, an actual kind of NHL roster here around a talent that feels
43:07special already.
43:09And so I do think that if a team is going to make a jump, Conor Bedard being on that
43:14team seems like a pretty good shot to me.
43:17So I think Chicago is in a world.
43:19Also, you have Chicago who, like, they have some pieces they can move if they want to
43:24make a push and really go for it.
43:26So I think that they could be, given the fact that their star is making, like, what, $925,000?
43:31I think that you can now make a push with that team and move them into a spot where
43:36it becomes a real contender in the NHL.
43:40And so I think Chicago makes this list for those reasons.
43:44At three, it's Utah.
43:46We talked about them the other day as a team that was out of the playoffs that could make
43:49it in this year.
43:50They acquire Sergeyev, who I think is fantastic on that blue line.
43:54They were aggressive in trades and free agency.
43:58And honestly, they were a team that we all thought was going to take a step last year,
44:02but then you have all the madness of everything that went on around Arizona where, no, no,
44:06no, we're not moving.
44:07No, we're not leaving.
44:08No, we just, Utah's got great skiing.
44:10Why?
44:11Of course we were visiting there.
44:12You know, they also have this rink and they do have this owner.
44:16And we were basically playing in, like, a small town arena here.
44:20So, you know what?
44:21Like, maybe, just maybe.
44:23And you have all those things kind of going on in these guys' heads about, okay, am I
44:26going to have to move from Arizona to Utah?
44:28Where am I going to go?
44:29Why am I dressing in the science lab?
44:32Like, what are we doing here?
44:34Why am I?
44:35Why?
44:36Why?
44:37And so things just spiraled.
44:38But I do think now, having that stability, having a very excited fan base behind you,
44:42not no shade on Arizona, but having a very excited actual NHL building behind you, having
44:47maybe even a home ice advantage, gasp, would be a very exciting thing.
44:53I just think that this is a Utah team that, again, has an opportunity, they have a lot
45:01of talent, that just had a lot going on around them.
45:04And so I think if they took the step that we thought they were going to take last year,
45:08this would seem very reasonable, that they could go out and make some noise in this division.
45:11And so that's why I have them at three.
45:13At two, it's Montreal.
45:15You guys have kind of figured out by now, if you've been watching every day, I am quite
45:18high on the Canadiens this year.
45:21I think that this is a team that has superstar potential in a guy like Caulfield.
45:27I think adding Patrick Lainé, again, if he can stay right, that is a scoring punch that
45:34this team needed desperately.
45:36I think that you have a great forward group, I think you have some pieces on the blue line
45:39that if it hits, can be quite good.
45:42The goaltending situation does kind of need to get figured out, but it does seem like
45:45they have a couple guys who could also take a step.
45:47So this is another one where it feels like everything has been building, and now Montreal
45:52has a chance to really push forward.
45:54And we have seen sometimes some young teams take a couple steps, and so I think Montreal
45:58has that opportunity there.
46:00But at number one, this one seems like cheating.
46:02It's the New Jersey Devils.
46:03They got ravaged by injuries on the blue line last year, ravaged by inconsistent goaltending
46:09play last season.
46:10But there's so much talent on this roster, and then going out and adding Shea and adding
46:14Jacob Markstrom make this a legitimate championship threat in the Eastern Conference.
46:19And so that makes them the best option to go from worst two to first in the NHL this
46:25season.
46:26Let's shift gears now, as I use one of my crutch phrases, and go to the National Basketball
46:32Association as we look at potential coaches on the hot seat for the upcoming NBA year.
46:39All right, the NBA season, it's coming up, man.
46:52Training camp's getting going.
46:53The podcast is starting to load up again.
46:55We're getting real excited about the start of the year.
46:57We even, and this is going to play in here a little bit more, we even have our first
47:00Kawhi injury update of the season.
47:02You can see behind me with the thing there, I get thrown off, but there, that guy.
47:07We love Kawhi around these parts.
47:09But also, who didn't see that coming, right?
47:12So we know the season now is in full gear with that injury issue.
47:16So today, looking at the coaches who are on the hot seat in the NBA.
47:20Coming in at five, it is Taylor Jenkins out in Memphis.
47:24Last year it was, the last couple of years have been difficult to maneuver out in Memphis.
47:30And now, everything is supposed to be coming together, right?
47:33They traded for Marcus Smart, you have Ja Morant, he is coming back and fully healthy
47:38and ready to go.
47:39You draft a very large Canadian, and all of a sudden, this team has the expectation that
47:44they are going to go out and really contend in the West.
47:49And while I do believe that that is a thing that's going to happen, if it doesn't,
47:53probably going to fall on the coach, right?
47:56And so now this is the year where it has to get going.
48:00And so if they start at, like, 22 and 27, or something like that, and it's not going,
48:06I think there's a very opportunity that's like, alright, well, that guy, you're out
48:10of here.
48:11Let's see if we can get a spark and get this thing rolling.
48:13And so I think the pressure that is on Memphis kind of falls on him.
48:16Same thing for our next one, Willie Green, for the New Orleans Pelicans.
48:20There's obviously some built-in excuses.
48:22The Brandon Ingram situation is just awkward.
48:25The Zion Williams situation is ever-fluid, given the injury situation that he constantly
48:30has, but when he is on, still one of the most dominant pieces in the National Basketball
48:34Association ever.
48:36And so there is, I think, obviously, cause for concern, and a few outs, but also a lot
48:43of reason to be optimistic about this team.
48:47And they make a big trade to go out and get Murray, and so when you do that, and you have
48:53a young superstar, it is now time to go.
48:56It is no longer, oh, well, yeah, we battled really hard, and oh, first round of the playoffs,
48:59but I mean, right?
49:00And don't call us anyone, what are you going to do?
49:03No more of that.
49:04This is now a team that needs to REALLY get going here in the West, and if they don't,
49:09I think it probably falls on the coach.
49:12At three, Mike Brown, in Sacramento.
49:15Part of this is, Sacramento is a very poorly run franchise.
49:18And while I do think that if this thing goes sideways this year, blaming the coach, probably
49:23wouldn't be accurate.
49:25But I do also think that Sacramento kind of does that.
49:27But again, they have now had the surprise every one year, they have had the, oh, we
49:33kind of came back down to earth, but we are still a pretty good team.
49:37Now we sign a superstar-adjacent player, at least, in DeMar DeRozan, this is supposed
49:42to fix everything.
49:43If this next step isn't one forward, then this is now probably on the coach.
49:49And again, they're another team that if they are around .500 at some point, then it
49:53could just be curtains for Mike Brown.
49:56I'm not saying it should, I just think the situation in Sacramento kind of stacks up
50:00in a way that he may find himself on the hot seat.
50:03At two, it's Tyronn Lue, out with the Los Angeles, I was going to say Chargers.
50:08It's Clippers.
50:09It's basketball.
50:10Again, I think he's an excellent coach.
50:12I think he's a very, very good basketball coach.
50:15I also think he is in kind of a no-win situation.
50:18The Clippers are going into a brand new building, and boy howdy do they want it to look impressive.
50:23And do they want to be able to go out there and really make some noise.
50:27Which is why it is very strange they let Paul George go in free agency.
50:30But they did.
50:31And now, we are already hearing about some Kawhi Leonard injury issues.
50:36And so, it already feels like too much is going to fall on the shoulders of James Harden
50:41this year.
50:42And that, typically, hasn't gone great for coaches.
50:45And so, with all of the pressure that is on the Clippers this year, and given that
50:50they are locked into Kawhi now for four more years, and kind of locked into this roster,
50:56if there is a reason for panic with the Clippers, it will probably fall on the shoulders of
51:02Ty Lue.
51:03And Ballmer will just step right over him to the next guy.
51:06And at number one, Billy Donovan, out in Chicago.
51:08This was supposed to go better.
51:10They were also supposed to have Ball, who was supposed to help things out a little bit.
51:13But, it just, it has been awful for a few years now.
51:17And I do think that there has been a bit of a stay for Billy Donovan based off of the
51:23just horrendous roster construction that this team has had.
51:27But I do think this is going to be a very bad year for this team.
51:30And I do think at some point, major changes are going to happen, and that's probably going
51:34to be in the coaching ranks as well.
51:36I just, I don't see this season going well for this team.
51:39And I do think that they are going to try to reset it.
51:42I think that having Giddy as your primary ball guy just ain't going to work.
51:46I think, like, the league entirely is telling you what they think of Levine.
51:51Vucevic, I think, is intriguing.
51:54But it just, none of the pieces really fit.
51:56And so I do think that before they really, not that, I was going to say before they really
52:00blow it up.
52:01I think they're going to try to.
52:02But I do think that also it is going to be another coach who has to try to put all those
52:06pieces back together in Chicago.
52:08Alright, that is going to do it for the stream today.
52:11Thank you all so much for tuning in.
