00:00The Shah Alam Magistrate's Court on Wednesday granted a four-day extension of remand for
00:0724 individuals including the top guns of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings, GISB.
00:14The senior leadership include GISB Chief Executive Officer and his wife.
00:20The suspects, aged between 25 and 65, were brought to court under tight security by the
00:27Criminal Investigation Department and the General Operations Force.
00:32Magistrate Mohammad Redza Azza Rizali approved the remand extension for all the individuals
00:37who were represented by lawyer Rosli Qamaruddin following a request from the police.
00:43The case is being investigated under Section 32A of the Child Act 2001, Section 233 of
00:51the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, and Section 14 of the Anti-Trafficking in
00:57Persons and Smuggling of Migrants Act 2022.
01:02At a separate court, Magistrate Mohammad Shafiq Sulaiman dismissed the application for bail
01:07for 22 women believed to be members of GISB.
01:12He rendered the decision under Section 118 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
01:17It was reported that all suspects were subsequently taken to the central lock-up at the Shah Alam
01:22District Police Headquarters.
