Blinken urges UN action on Iran, North Korea over Russia support

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken calls for international action against Iran and North Korea over their support to Russia in President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. "Support from Tehran and Pyongyang is helping Putin inflict carnage, suffering and ruin on innocent Ukrainian men, women, children," Blinken tells a UN Security Council session, saying that the countries have "violated multiple Security Council resolutions."

00:06First, we must address Russia's growing cooperation with North Korea and Iran.
00:12Iran has been providing armed drones to the Kremlin since 2022.
00:17It built a drone factory in Russia just a few weeks ago.
00:21It transferred hundreds of short-range ballistic missiles to Russia.
00:25And Tehran has trained Russian military personnel in Iran how to operate these weapons.
00:30Meanwhile, the DPRK has delivered trainloads of weapons and ammunition to Russia,
00:36including ballistic missiles, launchers, and millions of artillery rounds.
00:42Support from Tehran and Pyongyang is helping Putin inflict carnage, suffering, and ruin
00:49on innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children.
