The only other AFC South team with a win is the 1-2 Indianapolis Colts. Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars look lost. The Tennessee Titans don't look much better. In The Loop takes a trip around the AFC South.

00:00Yeah. All right. Real quick. Let's get into this around the
00:02AFC South. Talk about what happened amongst those teams.
00:04All right. We're going to do this in a very particular way.
00:07Obviously, there's three other teams. You guys select where we
00:10go. You pick and I'll deliver. How's that? All right. Where we
00:15want to go, fellas?
00:17Let's go to Jacksonville.
00:18All right. Jacksonville Jaguars. They're 0-2. And that's because
00:22they are one of the Monday night football doubleheaders tonight.
00:26So they have the Buffalo Bills, a team that is looking really
00:29good thus far in the season. The big things with the
00:32Jacksonville Jaguars right now, Darnell Savage, safety for them,
00:36kind of plays. I think he might play kind of nickel at times as
00:39well. He's been ruled out for this game. And he has only
00:42really played one game early on in the season, because I think
00:44he missed last week as well. But he's vital to what they're
00:47trying to do. So that's going to be a big miss for them against
00:51the team that has Josh Allen. And Josh Allen, who has looked a
00:54lot better than we maybe anticipated without as many
00:59weapons around him. Also, Evan Ingram, again, is probably out
01:03according to Doug Peterson for this game. And he has been a
01:06dude who bounced around the league a lot. And he found
01:09something there in Jacksonville. At least they found a way to
01:11utilize him. He is also out. So that does not really bode well
01:14for the Jaguars. Maybe they start 0-3.
01:16You need to watch tonight's game if you are a Texans fan and see
01:19how it plays out. Because this is kind of hard to fathom. If
01:24Jacksonville wins tonight and then wins next week against the
01:28Texans here, they'd be tied. Yeah, they're in first place.
01:31Yeah. How quickly that happens in the NFL, man. Wow, that
01:34happened pretty quickly. It happens real quick. Could
01:37happen pretty quickly. Yeah, I guess could happen, right? They
01:40have to first get over the Bills, who are another really
01:42good team in the AFC. But these are the two teams the Texans are
01:45playing next. So you've definitely got to be watching
01:47this game. What's Jacksonville look like? Because that's who
01:49you're facing off against next week. And the week after, you
01:52get the Buffalo Bills. In one of the Monday night football games
01:57in a weird doubleheader. Yeah. Although those are kind of
02:00staggered but up against each other. So that's that's
02:02definitely something I'll be watching tonight. All right. You
02:04got to you got the Colts. You got the Titans. Where are we
02:06going next? Let's go to the Titans. What do you think,
02:08Figgy? Yeah, check out the Titans. Titans fall to a former
02:13quarterback that they just got rid of earlier this season. It
02:15is a they're 0-3. And Malik Willis came in and was the
02:19quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in a 30-14 victory.
02:23Willis was solid. He did what he's asked. 13-19, 202 passing
02:28and a touchdown. Plus, he added 73 yards on the ground with a
02:31rushing touchdown. Like, this has to really smart for the
02:35Titans, especially because the quarterback you had out there
02:37was doing shenanigans again, right? He ultimately threw for
02:42260 yards and he had two touchdowns, but he had two
02:45interceptions. It was and it's really the fact that there's the
02:47nonsense within this. In fact, there was this play here where
02:50this is really the epitome of Will Levis shenanigans.
02:55Oh, my bad, Fig.
02:56Play action. Levis gonna run. Going airborne. He didn't get
03:01there.
03:03Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie slam.
03:07They slammed him. And when they slammed him, he tried to hurdle
03:10a defender. Two defenders, mind you. He tried to have that
03:12highlight moment. Two yards away from the sticks. Who do you
03:16think you are? And again, this is on a fourth and two.
03:20He gets to the line of scrimmage on the outside and he tries to
03:23hurdle. And that's just Will Levis for you. But yeah, they
03:27ultimately lose. I think Malik Willis was asked about, and do
03:31we have this audio here, Fig? Malik Willis was asked about,
03:35like, if in particular, made it, you know, made it feel any
03:37different form? Like if it was more rewarding, getting the win
03:40against his former team is what he said.
03:42I think all wins count the same. It doesn't really, you know, too
03:46much more or less. It was cool to see some of my old guys. But
03:49I don't think it adds or, you know, devalues. It added a
03:53little bit. It added a little bit. I will say, man, Malik
03:57Willis, he does seem to be a classy guy. He seems to be on
03:59it. His whole, all of his answers all the way across
04:01sounded like that. But yeah, I don't believe you in that
04:03particular way. Another thing from that game, Chito Awuzieh,
04:06cornerback for the Titans. He left the game with a groin
04:08injury. He didn't return and after the second quarter. So
04:11like, that's something to watch in that space, if they're going
04:13to have injury issues that linger for him, because that he
04:16matters when it comes to the defense. Bless their little
04:18hearts. All right. You know how I feel about the Titans. Yeah,
04:20I know. I know. You're very affectionate towards that team,
04:23except you're absolutely not. But yeah, so they're 0-3. And we
04:26thought that we would have another 0-4 that we might
04:28possibly have that as we talked about the Monday night football
04:31game being two future Texans opponents, two previous future,
04:36previous rather Texas opponents matched up on Sunday in the
04:39Colts and the Bears. The Colts actually got a win. We thought
04:42the Bears might be able to do something. No, no, they did not.
04:45The Colts got their first win of the season 21-16. Apparently
04:48they call this the I-65 rivalry. Did not realize that. Okay, like
04:52what is this high school? Did not realize that they had like
04:55cowboys and Texans or something? I don't know. But yeah, man,
04:58between the Colts and the Bears, the Bears in the end of the
05:02second quarter had an opportunity that might have
05:04changed the way that this happens. I know that the kind of
05:06butterfly effect when one play happens in the middle of the
05:09game, other things are probably going to go different. But they
05:12had a Hail Mary that
05:14stopped just one yard line and they ultimately lose by what is
05:18that? Five points. So only God knows how that shifts out. But
05:23the Bears who had the fourth fewest amount of rushing yards
05:26entering the game also still did not run the football well. 2.3
05:30yards per carry. So while the Colts did give up a whole bunch
05:33of yards to the Texans, the Bears couldn't take advantage of
05:35that either.
05:36Yeah, and the Colts, you know, well, here's the thing about the
05:39AFC South right now. The top two quarterbacks in the NFL with the
05:44most turnovers are both in the AFC.
05:46Yeah, Anthony Richardson, a nice, perfect balance. 10 of
05:4920, 167 yards, two interceptions.
05:51Yeah, so I think he's got eight turnovers. And Will Levis has
05:5510 or it might be nine and seven. But yeah, the two
06:00quarterbacks with the most turnovers are in the AFC South.
06:02And they're on the they're on the two teams that, you know,
06:05obviously fancied themselves, certainly in the Titans case as
06:08a contender. Well, I didn't think the Titans were going to
06:10be much. They're not. I haven't had a lot of confidence. I you
06:14know, I said this is what's so frustrating about Anthony
06:16Richardson. He's not it right now. No, he is extremely
06:19frustrating to watch. But that's all good news for the Texans.
06:23I'm telling you, all of a sudden, Jacksonville, man, you
06:27know, Jacksonville, you're like, man, if they win tonight, that
06:30place gonna be rocking first of all next week, but it's gonna be
06:32for first place.
06:33Yeah, big if big if some other things with the Colts. I
06:36mentioned Anthony Richardson not having a great day. Jonathan
06:38Taylor did 110 yards, two touchdowns on the ground. The
06:41other touchdown was another Russian one from Trey sermon
06:43and quitty pay. He suffered a quad injury with like three
06:46minutes left in the fourth quarter didn't return. So he
06:49couldn't put any weight on it when he was leaving. They're
06:52going to do an MRI to figure out what's happened. Yeah, somewhat
06:56optimistic in that place. But that's another place where that
06:59could affect things going forward. But yeah, man. Also,
07:02Caleb Williams, 363 yards, two touchdowns. He did have two
07:06interceptions, though he and his first touchdown was also a first
07:10career touchdown was also Roma doomsday. His first career
07:12touchdown. You can see them after the touchdown trying to
07:14fight over the football. I thought that was a little funny.
07:15But 363 yards is the most in the league thus far the season and
07:21the most by Bears quarterback since Brian Hoyer, who did it in
07:242016 against the Indianapolis Colts who gets the ball? Who
07:28should get the ball? That's a good question. Who gets the ball
07:31for you? Probably I guess the quarterback probably I think the
07:35receiver Yeah, I was like, I was gonna say the receiver. I think
07:37there's a room should get it. Because I think the quarterback
07:39is gonna have you would think you know, but
07:42just take the stitches out of the ball, man. You get one half
07:47of the ball. Cool. Yeah, that'd be very cool. Or whoever gets
07:51the ball has to give over the jersey. Something like that. You
07:53know what I'm saying? But there you go. That's around the AFC
07:56South. What's happening
